Dammit all. You'll pay for this Akryat! All of you will! the captain shouts.

With that he lunges at one of the humans that turned on him, leaping. He begins to change as he lunges through the air exploding into a Huge Great White Shark, enormous Jaws clamping around the hapless man and takes him overboard.

The First Mate seems to know when to fold em as well and withdraws, leaping over the edge. Any that look over see Butchy in the water climbing into the boat Doctor Flint shot down. The bleeding Doctor also rushes the side, glaring the backstabbing passenger makes another slice. the doctor falls bleeding over the edge and into the water.

How did - The captain wonders aloud as he sees the hob climb from the hold. . . His eyes widen and he doesn't have time to move,
Slash: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 2 = 21
for 1d6 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 3 + (1, 5) = 12

Gack, Sonofab**&~! Who let you bastards out! The captain shouts, reaching for his Cutlass

To arms, take these bastards, kill em all if you have to!

undercommon:
Get up you bastards. Red's brats are out, put em' back or put em down! he shouts.

The Mate draws a blade to try to flank the Hobgoblin but the Hob's already moving back.

He don't want worries. Them rich folk on the ship ain't bein happy if'n they know who they was sleeping over. Ship is plenty safe. No worry little Drow Butchy tells you with a smile, good at following orders. But maybe if he were just chatting with assistants while working he may let more slip.

On Deck
you seem to have missed most of the argument, unless it got out of hand Really Fast.
Burrial at sea in just FINE and proper! And i don't want a damn corpse rotting for aweek on my ship! the captain shouts at an irate Tamerand.

The noble replies with quiet venom My man died protecting your ship. A ship, if i may remind you, you claimed was the safest in the Sea of Storms! Yet you get one of your passangers killed by a damn Goblin Squid! You have no right -

I HAVE EVERY RIGHT I'm the Captain of this ship. My word's Law. As far as you're concerned I. Am. Your. God. and I will be till you get off my boat. Teh captain's skin almost seems to ripple as he becomes more agitated, and his voice turns more raspy and slurs ever so slightly.

Hah! right. Do you know who I am! Do you know the influence i wield? Do you know what lands and holdings I control? I am NOT a man to be trifled with, Blackears. Tamerand replies, almost hissing at the Captain.

This deck is te only thing that matters, and I'm the one that tells you when to get off, either at port or NOW The men fume, totally unaware of anyone that's approached.

All right Gentlemen, Ladies, we e needin all able hands on deck. And I mean EVERYBODY! the captain shouts across the deck. It takes a minute or two for everybody that's able to move well to get up top. When the crew quiets down and looks to be all present, along with the passnegers, Captain Il'zavaan explains, Them Grindylow did a fair bit of damage to our vessel and we're a smidgen short-handed, Savvy? So We'll be needin everbody ta be pullin yer own weight round hereabouts for a spell if'n yea want ta be makin it ta shore on schedule. So see the Bosun here fer details and we'll be gettin ta work.

The bosun will explain the jobs to you all. Every day you can pick one job to do and make the appropriate checks. You will also have an action for the day. If you pick an exhausting task, and fail the DC con check, you will be fatigued until you take the Sleep action. Passing your daytime task checks will give you a bonus to Night actions, and hasten your trip

Tamerant tells you that there are some spellworkers, but magic is dangerous and there aren't any "schools" as such in the Central Kingdoms. There are a few sages that teach, but there really aren't many. SOme manage to learn on their won, but for the most part are raather limited in their spell knowledge, and most are very clever and quite dangerous before you take your leave.

Oh, Aye. Likely after tis voyage. Got a few orders ta fill and such a'fore retuning, but I can help yea out mate! the captain says, falling into undercommon. Sommat for a sweetheart eh, some white-eyed vixen back home? Or yea got serious business? Always so serious on the continent. 's why i'm out here and keep no stakes aside form trade. But I can take care o yea mate! jsut need to bring him the letter and he seems willing to take it for you. Better if you can offer payment upon receipt or perhaps some cash to be made on the way.

Tenguin
Nah, mate. You and yer people are doin' a fine job here. Keep up the good work is all. Heh, yer savin me a killing on hired hands The captain says, half chuckling to himself.

Tenguin
The captain looks up curious. He's had an interesting dinner and is curious about what you could want. He chuckles at the gift barely interested in paying it any attention, condescension in his eyes, but that quickly fades... these shells, some are Taahman's Eye! seeing you at a loss, he gingerly gets a box to put them, explaining, He's a Storm-god, but he can mesmerize seabeasts. Powerful charm these are. Thanke mate! he says, rising and shaking the Tengu's hand.
I took your rolls as all aiding each other and giving small bonuses till Tenguin pushed the attitude adjustment.

I need a nickname for you, Thoyoitu. But go ahead and toss a diplomacy check for givign the gift. What you say may affect his attitude in addition to the roll.

Ret-Con with Rosalyn before she takes off.
The captain chats for a while. As Rosalyn is not particularly familiar with the Nautical Panthion, or at least can't really recall much about them, the captain gives a little information. Well, we don't pay much mind to the Daystar. There's so damn many Sun Gods and whatever one he really is leaves us alone, being Drow most o' us don't care about it anyway. Boreas, of course, the father of the winds, and his son, the Stormwind god o the Tempest, West-Wind, whatever name yea call him, he's pretty much the same. Then there's a few wind-gods that everyone prays to for one thing or another. Then the Pirate King and Queen. Reavers worship the king and ravage the coasts, ships and ever'thin', while them what follow the Code like slavers an swashbucklin rogues belong to the Queen." He neglects to mention the Deep One in his list, but gives pause, Looks down to the floor thn to you to indicate the God Below, makes a warding symbol with his hand and tosses some salt on the ground casually. Minor offering, don't worry about it

Dinner arrives along with a note. Huh, Guess we'll be having a . . . Goblin Dog for a cat on the ship now? It's a large and luxuriant meal, A bowl of light vegetable soup with a cooling minty flavor precedes a tender cut of rare beef, seared on the outside with a blend of herbs and thick sauce. There is also a single Pomegranate on the tray for after dinner but even for al of you there may not be room for it after.

Ros:
Work is specifically to get a bonus on your task check, so no. You could use an explore or influence action tho, rolling perception to watch people or diplomacy to talk to them.

The captain is a full drow, and as such isn't particularly interested in a real friendship with some half-breed, but does find Dez's antics amusing. alas, we be parting ways when we next make land, yell be in a small coastal town in the central kingdoms. Meeting a caravan there with these supplies, and send ya on yet way. he doesn't have any stories about this coming port, but he does tell you about an amusing game of poker he played in the last port you just left where he won by playing 3 hands over the course of 2 hours, all psychology.

About his faith, Tavian doesn't worship. Others on the ship do, but he believes that all on the sea live at the whim of the Deep One. Part of the main nautical pantheon, it's the unnamed god that lives under the sea and is the father of sea-monsters. He venerates it, sacrafices to it, and fears it. Doesn't volunteer why, and avoids actually talking about his god.

Rosalyn:
The stern-castle is above deck, so there's not really anywhere for Desela to come into, but...
Heh, life's never dull out here. The dark one ever beneath us waiting to swallow us whole. Reavers and ravagers just o'er the horizon. But there may be words worth sparing. The captain says far more calmly now that they are underway. He smokes from a pipe and a sickeningly sweet aroma wafts up. "Butchey'll be sending his girl up to my cabin with a meal shortly. . . the man doesn't know what reasonable portions look like, and I'd be willin ta entertain yea." After some chatting the captain finishes his pipe, ashes it on the rail of the stern-castle and steps down.[/b] He opens the door to his quarters for you as there is a dumbwaiter there that will bring up a meal and steps in behind you.
This sounds like an Influence action, so please toss me a diplomacy check

Desula:
You burn through most of the afternoon waiting for your your panacia to kick in, but feeling fortified you few folks below where your cabin is, and step up to the Deck. It's been a while since you've spoken with Tavian and feel it appropriate to pay your dues at the very least. As you enter, you see Rosalyn is with him. She waves and welcomes you pleasantly. Ah, Dez! The Captain starts in Undercommon, heard yea got an a spot o' trouble eh? One o' me boys saw the brawl. Decided ta track down what of yer mates we could, seemed an interesting bunch eh? Yer lady friend took the honor o' letting yea give give her a formal introduction tho, and invited herself ta dinner! He waves you over to have a seat.
You also going to influence? get an in with the captain?

Thoyoitu:
I'd like to give a minute for Desula and Rosalyn to speak before you come in, just to set the scene.
The crew do notice you working diligently with the people, even though all the Tengu call you boss. They seem to be somewhat impressed by that.

A-all right ya scurvy bastards, git this anchor up and this ship moving afore it forgets how ta float! Hoist the name and release the mooring lines. We been at port to damn long! a drow steps from the captain's quarters and starts shouting orders at his crew. He sees a few folks standing around, and yells, You there, get that line dressed! Hop to it! to nobody in particular, yet still expecting it to get done.

The ship is soon sailing across the sea, the drow lounging on the sterncastle as his pilot maintains the bearings.

On the ship, there's a few actions you can take akin to the Skulls and Shackles system. Any and all actions will affect what happens on the ship. You can meet crewmen, work socialize and try to improve crew attitudes, work, explore the ship. This is mostly RP and getting used to the system. Let me know what you want to do and I'll give details.
