if it's neither been thrown overboard nor already taken to the galley, Goandai will pick it up and head in that direction hoping to find Butchy since he hadn't seen him on deck. Nekare` follows at his heels.
Once the cook/wrangler is found he asks,

so there's been a bit of excitement, I didn't know if you'd heard. but the crew and some of us among the passengers had a skirmish with a troupe of grindylow, I think I heard them called, and this was left among the spoils. indicating the multi-pod he's carrying I know very little about cooking beyond the utilitarian, but you've impressed quite a few people with your skills. Do you think you can do something with this?

Several members of the crew "ooh and ah" at Desula's description, Hezala chuckling, knowing that he only took one spear head to the gut, but not raining on the Drow's parade. the looks from the remaining humans and passengers shows a bit more respect for the party than before, as they are impressed by the part you took in the fight, preventing the attackers in the middships from moving to aid the taking of either the helm or supplies on the foredeck.
You will have a circumstance to influencing the crew and passengers.

Goandi
When you get below decks there is already a couple Grindylow corpses lying in a pile on the floor along with a couple octopie. One strung up above a large tub, upside down and bleeding out into it. He looks at the tentacles of the creature, and nods, pulling down the bleeder String up and bleed out that one. Butchy orders, taking an enormous cleaver and chopping the grindylow in half. From the waist down it looks just like a regular octopus. You may assist in bleeding out and chopping the tentacles in preperation for an octobus meal, and disposing of the upper halves of the bodies.

Thoyoitu
The man that was treating Kraw takes a look at a couple other unconscious tengu and says, Alright mate. I'll let ya know if I hear of anybody lookin fer ya, otherwise you have someone fetch me if they condition changes. Name's Horus Flint, ship doc, aye?"

The captain Shouts an order to the pilot to get em away from these waters once the bodies are chucked to avoid any other encounters, and steps into his quarters with the first mate and the bosun. Shortly thereafter, a man with strang weapons, a pistol and Musket, steps into the room with the officers. The crew waits with baited breath as the ship gets to speed and then slows to a crawl as the mainsail is pulled up, wondering what the captain will have them do next.

All right Gentlemen, Ladies, we e needin all able hands on deck. And I mean EVERYBODY! the captain shouts across the deck. It takes a minute or two for everybody that's able to move well to get up top. When the crew quiets down and looks to be all present, along with the passnegers, Captain Il'zavaan explains, Them Grindylow did a fair bit of damage to our vessel and we're a smidgen short-handed, Savvy? So We'll be needin everbody ta be pullin yer own weight round hereabouts for a spell if'n yea want ta be makin it ta shore on schedule. So see the Bosun here fer details and we'll be gettin ta work.

The bosun will explain the jobs to you all. Every day you can pick one job to do and make the appropriate checks. You will also have an action for the day. If you pick an exhausting task, and fail the DC con check, you will be fatigued until you take the Sleep action. Passing your daytime task checks will give you a bonus to Night actions, and hasten your trip

sorry, lost the edit that said all information about actions and checks are all up on the campaign page. So go ahead and pick a task, and your action for the afternoon and post your checks

Thoyoitu leaves one healthy Tengu to help take care of the injured ones. He then decides to rest for the night, having fought that hard battle, then hopefully eats calamari for breakfast. Then he spends his day working on the rigging if they're down some people, or the boiler room or plumbing otherwise.

It's still midday, and the captain has ordered all able crew and passengers to work the rest of the day unless you've taken heavy wounds, namely Desula

most of the jobs other than rat catching all require strength check.and because victor is a rat, he'd rather not pick up the task. unfortunately, victor can't work because he doesn't have the skills for
the work provided.

Victor looks up the mast high above him, then at the heavy sail, then at the deck.and he frowns.
"perhaps there is a more specialised category of work for me? something that involves alchemy and such/ or engineering?"
victor looks decidedly worried that someone might decide to throw him off the boat for not being able to haul his own weight.

You can all make Wis checks in lieu of Profession checks for ship-tasks. this is a specific exception to the rules about profession checks.
Victor:
The bosun raises an eyebrow at you, and points you in the direction of Horus Flint. Well, i don't know about engineering, but if yea got good hands I could use yea on my repair crew. There's plenty o' chunks tore out the ship, an want ta make sure we don't have any structural issues here.

You can take a +2 on your dex check for repairs if you make a DC15 Engineering check

Thoyoitu, your night action? You mentioned coming back to the Door to check it? You can make a check to unlock it.

Spends her day high in the rigging looking out for danger to the ship, when night comes she gos to bed

1d20 ⇒ 18

After a long and grueling day of work for most of you, you are able to undo much of the damage caused during the attack.

Rosalyn,
To the east of your current location is the sea of storms. From your vantage point you can see some signs of it's reach on the horizon. What worries you is that there appears to be sign of storming to the south. Hopefully the darkness on the distant horizon is not heading your way, yet something tells you that you won't be so fortunate.

Goandi and Thoyoitu
In searching for the the location of the strange noises you have heard, Goandi, you run into the Tenguin, Thoyoitu. He seems to be working at a lock, just out of curiosity, tho. He's not heard any indications of something below. When he gets the bolt unlocked and the trapdoor hidden the the deck opened, several pairs of eyes turn to face you in the darkness. There is metal grate in place that could be removed, but at this point it may be unadvisable. The figures in he shadow move closer, Goandi you can tell that there are several humanoids, but they are gaunt and huddled up in the damp darkness and can't quite tell what species they might be, but they certainly are unfriendly.

Goandi hears sounds of approaching crewmen, likely coming in for the night, and don't have much time before you are discovered having broken into a secret compartment on the ship.

Victor, you loose yourself in the rigging and topes for quite some time and don't emerge until after sundown, while the drow are out and working on the ship. While you've missed dinner, there will be a delightful calimari plate sitting in your makeshift lab when you finally come down to the lower decks.

"Storms's hoo to the East!!"
She calls down

male Hobgoblin

Whispers urgently, close it, crow. someone's coming. at the same time he pulls a short length of rope, knotted at both ends, which he throws in the direction of the oncoming crewmen Nekare`! Fetch!

You rise and feel well rested, and significantly better.

In the morning,
Due to the flurry of activity and deposit work, the group can find a few minutes to speak privately if they wish, and have anything worth sharing.

Tho&Go
That's fine, Thoyoitu, you should have at least a minute.

A couple creatures close in, whispering, food...hungry...let us out

goblin:
Goandi, you hear one of the creatures in the room ask, You blood-traitor? I gunna have to gut you? in harsh goblin speak. This is a particular hob-goblin expression to suggest one had abandoned their blood, and is a slave to a lesser creature. Not likely that he knows your past bet he may be assuming you work for his captors.

Anything you want to ask?

Nekare will go barreling down the length of the ship, careening straight into the large human, tripping him, whenever you are done.

In the morning, the ship is abuzz with busy sailors working. The bosun and Flint have the Thoyoitu's tengu working double-time, making repairs and fetching supplies for both the ship and medical care for the injured. Since it is so hectic, the party is able to find some time after a quick meal with none of the crew around, and can easily find a location to gather.

Thoyoitu, it isn't till midmorning that the bunks seem cleared out and won't have anyone passing through to as everything seems to be done in the kitchens ad Flint is on deck yelling about some piece of carpentry work or another.

Goandi, They are bound for an area called the Darklands. Basically the underdark, but instead of underground, it's an area of the planet that the sun never touches. not a big difference, but a little less bad. That is where Desula is from
