Jane will use both to regain spells (3, 2, 1 and 2, 2, 1), bringing me back to full capacity.

GM Zoomba |

Active buffs can still linger if their duration is long enough. For Xander and Midri, the mage armor hasn't yet elapsed. I'll let you know when those two five-hour buffs will need to be re-applied.

Midri had offered a long term Mage Armor for Jane early on, but I think it got lost in the shuffle. If you've got the spell slot to spare that's great, but failing that I probably would have re-upped from my wand.

Kasei regenerates 2 spells used, and 2 uses per day of his Fervor class feature.

yeah Jane Midri had a slot for mage armor reserved for you both before and after the refresh so no worries.

The blast shadow got a 14 the DC for the reflex save is 17 am I missing something (can he fly/hover?) if he can then I am suddenly very scared of that thing.

GM Zoomba |

i mid-read it on my phone. However, checking to make sure, I also realized that those standing next to the pit only save at the end of their turn, not initially. So the 'white' blast shadow and the red skeleton would t have saved this turn anyway

To accelerate combat and the pace, I botted Kuwabara.
In general, we are now at the 'less than two weeks' point. For basic actions, I am willing to either bot or delay you if we're in combat there has not been a post for over 24 hours. I understand that there can be outside circumstances (like computer issues) and normally would wait longer except for the timed, group success nature of the scenario.
That said, as I and most GMs don't especially want to take away control of a character, if there is a way you want me to proceed for you let me know. If you would prefer to be delayed, if there are general tactics that would expend more resources, or if you would prefer to pick another player to control you if an issue arises, all of those could be set up: just let me know.

GM Zoomba |

Two things to note going forward:
1. Periodically you may want to check out the Global Map. That comet at the edge wasn't there when you first got here....
2. While your rolls were fine for Gad Gimble, there are consequences for trying to talk down an anchor and failing, and not all social checks (or occasionally other checks, which I'll try to bring up or guide to) are equal. I'll try to hint at what may be the best approach as you talk to them, but just a heads up that jumping to rolling a check immeadiatley might not always be the best tack.

![]() |

so whats the plan with this guy do we hope we can talk him down or do we risk combat?
times running out so id like to get this guy done soon. We still need to check the vault as well.

I have a question here. Was it possible to have targeted the ooze without stepping to the edge of the pit? If so then Wadi would not have risked falling in, and would have cast Glitterdust on the woman instead.

GM Zoomba |

Due to the depths of the pit, no unfortunately, you would need to be by the edge or at a higher angle or flying in order to see it.
I'm a bit conused about the second part: are you asking if you could change you action to Glitterdust because you forgot about the sloped-edge risk of the pit? If so, I am willing to allow that in this case as at an RL table that would have been brought up quicker. However this is the second time that spell's been cast and falling in has been a risk this scenario: consider this a notice to all that holes are dangerous!
Wadi, move to where you would have cast at the lady.

![]() |

GM: Yes, that is what Wadi would have done here. I am not familiar with the Create Pit and I had no idea the edges were sloped here. Still Wadi would have seen the edges and not risked it, as his Reflex save is horrible.
If you just want him to forfeit his actions for this round, I am perfectly happy with that.

GM Zoomba |

Edited my post as you responded. See the second half (move where you would have cast Glitterdust)

![]() |

OK moved Wadi on the map. He would cast the spell on her if he can avoid catching the others in the effect.

![]() |

Im still trying to learn battlefield control spells in general mostly when to use them and when not to use them...
Normally id use grease on foes to try to knock a few out / block charge lanes but I cant see a ooze slime being able to be knocked prone so i went for create pit as the next best thing...
Should I have delayed and risked the ooze getting closer or?
Any advice/tips/tricks would be appreciated as I want to become a better player.

![]() |

I have no complaints with dropping it down a pit. It has certainly delayed its ability to make attacks on anybody.
Edit: But now I'm starting to wonder if the sides of the pit could be greased enough to matter...

![]() |

Midri, I think the spell was a good call there as it did delay the ooze and gave us time to deal with the anchor instead. I take the blame for not realizing the edges were sloped since I am not familiar with the spell.

![]() |

I will be away from my computer most of tomorrow so if your just waiting for me feel free to bot both me and Xander.
Xander would go for full attacks whenever possible. Midri would attempt to give Xander a flank while still being able to attack.
Midri a this point would not use any of her spells minus a grease on the anchor if she tried to run away.
Should be back to normal posting on Sunday

So, I'm getting started on getting chronicles up and out. For those of you who are immediately jumping into another game with these characters, the gold is 2,500gp (with Kuwabara getting 1,875 gp, the brave playing-uper)
Please roll Day Jobs now, or any Downtime activities for faction cards or other miscellany. Incidentally, if you have any questions about whether something 'counts' for a Faction card goal, ask away.
On top of all of that, there is also the chance to get a nice little Gameday boon out of this. Everyone can roll a d20, with a 20 or a 16 getting a random boon (which is looking to be distributed at the end of the Gameday, so for this block you'll just have to be patient.
I'll start that part off: Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 14

![]() |

Day Job (actor): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 1 Aaargh why did they change it now??

![]() |

Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 4 :(
Rather than a day job, Jane will write a rather vague and unhelpful report about what happened here.
Report: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
This is a weird case, but what are your thoughts on considering this adventuring in a nation other than Absalom?

GM Zoomba |

You may have been on Kortos, but the nation and even the geography was massively different and virgin territory for Pathfinder explorers: I'd say this perfectly fits the spirit of the 'visit other places' goal.

Chronicles should be up HERE. Let me know if there are any issues with them. I'll report the scenario once I receive Kuwabara's info.
Also, thanks once again to everyone. I'm sure I'll see some of you around the boards!
Enjoy the rest of the Gameday!
