As Pioni shines the plate she notices it move slightly. She checks it again an realises that the plate can slide to the side. On doing so she finds a small chalkboard recessed slightly into the alter just enough to hold conceal a small shelf holding a piece of chalk.

Pearlianna detects magic and picks up a strong illusion aura on one of the walls.

Cyto looks around the area but doesn't seem to find anything extra, even around the illusion aura.

Celestin scribes a word on the chalkboard, but nothing happens. Celestin then gives a slight curse under his breath in a strong Galtan accent, rubs out the 'bb' and corrects it to 'ff', as he does so the wall at the rear of the room shimmers and disappears revealing a hidden door just as it slides open. Beyond the door is a passageway leading behind the shrine and opening up into a larger area.

Several desks are arranged along the northern and eastern edges of this small stone alcove. Whereas the stonework leading to this chamber is rough, the walls in the alcove are polished. A single gem rests among the neatly filed papers on the desk, emitting a soft luminescence that brightens the small room.

Pearlianna tries to work out the magic on the gem, but can only pick up the tell tale signs of an evocation spell.

The paperwork on the desk is a priceless collection of Pathfinder Society lore and information describing dozens of unexplored sites. Most seem to be written in a strange ancient language and are unreadable. Even to those who cannot read the documents it's very clear that this collection is very important and will require several weeks of careful study by researchers at the Grand Lodge.

If you understand Azlanti:
The notes are written in a less common dialect of Azalanti, but even then they appear to be a garbled mess that suggests they are encrypted to make them even harder to read.

You all gather up the documents and start to leave to hidden section of the shrine. As you get back to the antechamber you can hear the sounds of movement outside.

A voice shouts out from behind one of the pillars, "Whatever you found in there is now the property of the Aspis Consortium. If you surrender and come quietly you have my word that you will not be harmed!"

I've updated the map link to show you all the new area.
