Imagine how silly it would be, if between Uesugi and myself, we'd spam anchor successes. :)
But i'm not cheering prematurely, of course.

Everyone, we're being praised in a song, over at the overseer thread. :D
Btw, we should have Sirettis carry the healing wand.
Could that be an action from her, between the amoeba and the new one, to take it from him?
GM Red
|
Yes, you can.
Love that song.
It feels great that we're being recognized. It's good to have such active players!
| GM Hmm |
Everyone, we're being praised in a song, over at the overseer thread. :D
And now I'm doing it in person!
Time storm roars its way down the street
But there's nowhere for it to go
Ain't no sound but the sound of its feet
Pathfinders ready go
Are you ready,
Are you ready for this
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat
Out of the doorway the arrows rip
To the sound of the beat
Uh, uh, uh, uh
A time storm bites the dust
A time storm bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
A time storm bites the dust
Yeah GM Red's team strikes true
Another one bites the dust!
___
Way to beat that average! This will be EPIC.
Hmm

Encore, encore!
On a less exciting note, I need a little break from my computer ;)
Back in a bit with another endless stream of baddies.
Sir D. Arthraven
|
And another anchor success to report :D
I'm hyped here, actually, and laughing at Uesugi's OOC again.
| GM Hmm |
Wait. Was that your tenth anchor success?
Grabs popcorn.
Man, I was leading the anchor successes score board, and y'all are leaving me FAR BEHIND!
Hmm
Sir D. Arthraven
|
I reckon so.... But we need official verification of course ;).
Bring on the next, GM Red.
Sir D. Arthraven
|
Btw, i'll probably have access to my PC the entire day.
So you can abuse me being home for any speeding of combat. :)
| GM Hmm |
I stealth-dotted your Gameplay thread.
So that I can keep cheering and eating popcorn.
Hmm
GM Red
|
Awesome. My fingers are crossed that our efforts are not in vain and that we'll emerge victorious!
Guys, my posting for Saturday won't be as frequent as it was today. I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit I can post a lot more when I'm at work... But I can. :)
Weekends involve less time where I'm near a computer, but I will update as much as I can.
| GM Hmm |
My group has just finished their third vault success, and now I'm sending them back up to slay undead!
We're Tier 5-6 so we won't chew through time storms as fast as you will, but we can usually do one combat a day. Those time storms don't stand a chance against our combined might!
Hmm
Sir D. Arthraven
|
Or, if the GM shows us the statblocks, we could probably provide him with a few more anchor successes when he gets back. ;)
Joke aside, fingers crossed here.
| GM Hmm |
| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
You guys did it! On to the Vault!
GM Red
|
We all did it :)
What a relief. I was a little too worried we were all going to die.
We still have four days to go. I think we got this!
| GM Hmm |
Yeah, we all did it. I am glad that I went overboard on anchor successes, though. Just think... We needed 99, and you guys got ten. One tenth of the anchor successes are yours. That's a lot!
By the way, I hope you don't mind me hanging with you in discussion as a lurker. It's nice chatting with another goal-oriented group!
Hmm
GM Red
|
Good point. I said to my group that we did the equivalent of what three tables are expected to do for Anchors - even more than that, since 3 per table is what's technically needed - which I feel is something to be proud of.
Nope, hang around as much as you'd like. We appreciate the encouragement!
Sir D. Arthraven
|
And we'll try to do a good job on these clones as well.
Our hopes are set for many failed will saves vs slumber hex.
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
sure thing GM Hmmm hang around as much as you want
GM Red
|
One thing I remembered is that we do still have an Aid Token. I'm going to take a peek at a few other tables to see if anyone is struggling. If anyone is, it would be nice to pass it along, even if we don't use it.
We could wait until we take down a few clones, so that if you end up taking some damage, we can use the token to heal up and then pass it on.
GM Red
|
By the way Hmm, I totally copied your Robotic NPC botting players when necessary, although the PCs have taken over that role now. I thought it made botting a little bit more fun and added some roleplaying where there would otherwise be none.
| GM Hmm |
Dang it! He keeps escaping from his box!
Hmm
Sir D. Arthraven

On the side, we've yet to exploit Gallix's improved dirty trick.
Which is a +6 for the maneuver.
Uesugi, Blaster and myself can do pretty good damage.
If Gallix could, oh say, gauge her in the eyes to blind her, she loses for a round sight.
Meaning she gets a penalty to AC, on top of having lost Dex to AC.
Plus her having to roll for 50% chance on a miss.
Thoughts?
GM Red
|
Sounds like a solid plan to me. What do the rest of you think?
I think it's a little more fun when it has this element of challenge rather than steamrolling amoebas and dinos ;)
We'll possibly have three successes by the end of the day, which is pretty good given the difficulty of these clones.
Sir D. Arthraven
|
Well...check gameplay.
Given both you and Uesugi are having a tough time in the weekend, i rolled for his maneuver, pardon me here Uesugi. :)
I'll treat you to Saké if we live.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
I'm definitely good with the move, D! Sounds like exactly what Gallix would do to avoid what Uesugi just went through. Haha
I'm trying to post when I can, but I'm officiating a wedding tomorrow and have been traveling since Thursday, so I'm often unavailable for long stretches.
Hopefully all the turbo posts pay off and we get the anchor success we need. :)
GM Red
|
Oh, they did, and they will!
The turbo posts played no small part in getting the required amount of Anchor successes. I'm sure it will be the same case with Vault successes.
That last Gameplay post may be my last one for tonight, and tomorrow is Thanksgiving Sunday up here, so I'll likely be out most of the afternoon and evening.
| GM Hmm |
I am not Canadian, but happy Thanksgiving!
(What parts of Canada are y'all from?)
Hmm
| GM Hmm |
Pretty city. I'm from Minneapolis -- also pretty.
One of the nice aspects of the special has been learning about some of the other GMs and their tables. I liked the feeling of teamwork that has happened here towards the end!
Hmm

It'd be great if we got a 4th before the end.
Partially because we've been on a Red-hot streak, but also because 4 is a nice number.
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
I'm sure we can kill this one to make it 4 would it be a stretch to hit 5? Guess we'll see.
Red will be on during afternoon EDT I take it.
GM Red
|
That should be our fourth!
Hey Uesugi, I'm also from Toronto... Small world, eh? ;)
| GM Hmm |
We just got our fourth vault success too.
Yay.
GM Red
|
Congrats Hmm! We're well on our way.
I had a chronicle question, but I'll put that in the GM thread so as not to spoil anything for everyone.
Uesugi, red is a Toronto thing? I thought blue was. I chose Red because my last name is Red but in italian, so it made sense to go with it.
GM Red
|
Nevermind. I read the boons again and I think I get it. There's no way anyone can earn two of them because of the way they're written. I thought the second and third could both be earned because my group has done both of those things, but the text of the third boon includes something that makes it impossible to get both.
... Sorry if that was confusing.

Quite the surprise to see the discussion thread half as long as the gameplay! Seems like people that live in frozen north like PbP.. I'm in Maine ha!
