Lucious does his ineffective hocus pocus.
Delzden shoots and misses.
Echo leaps easily to the opposite side of the ship, where Ula is waiting for her with a happy stick.

Wouldn't that be a standing jump DC 32?
To jump 8'? That sounds really high. If it is, then I go for a swim!

GM.Kashka |

standing jump on wet surface, 8 feet is dc20. If she had stepped back and running leapt it's dc10.

![]() |

Ula looks at the two sorcerers that are just standing there, "One of you two, shoot him!"

Davorin Blackridge wrote:Wouldn't that be a standing jump DC 32?To jump 8'? That sounds really high. If it is, then I go for a swim!
For a standing vertical jump it would have been DC 32.

Mor'Targh, who is perturbed by the rat patting him on the back between spells, shouts at Ula. "They're really tricky. I'm pointing my spells right at them and yet they seem to dodge without dodging...

The scorching ray hits him in the chest, and he falls over backwards unmoving. how about that 4th d6: 1d6 ⇒ 4
You can all hear the chatter and commotion in the distance where the busy docks were.

Bleys points MM wand at red guard and whistles a happy tune...then zap.

"Why'd you do that for?" Delzden asks, confused why Bleys chose to harm the sleeping enforcer, "leave no witnesses, eh?"
"Come on, we've got no time to loiter around, let's get this ship moving!"
Is there a chance to roll something to get the ship leave sooner?

GM.Kashka |

*sigh
The remaining enforcer groggily grabs his crossbow and stands up.

Realizing that this enforcer has been sleeping through the entirety of breakfast, Ula has a brilliant idea. She lets out a shrill whistle and the large "hard boiled" egg on the plate with the waffles and bacon starts to wiggle and crack. Suddenly a full sized baby velociraptor breaks through the shell, springs forth and starts threatening the enforcer.
Ula then walks up to Bleys. "What was that for!? He was asleep, we could have just rolled him in the water, or brought him with!"
My illusion can effect up to six 10' cubes, which covers the right hand side of almost the entirety of the dock.
Swift: Maintain illusion with Effortless Trickery

"This is getting ridiculous!" Delzden yelps as Echo again returns to the pier, "maybe I'll become a master archer this way!"
He raises his bow and shoots an arrow in the fray. He doesn't give a rat's ass whether it hits or not.
Ranged attack (- melee penalty): 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 7 - 4 = 5

I am going to disallow the velociraptor. Following our discussion today, it is my opinion that the hatchling would be a second different image and require a new illusion spell

"BOO!"

![]() |

Lucius, annoyed with the bumbling of his teammates, yells out "Enough with this!"
He casts his second charm person on the remaining guard (DC15 Will or be my friend -- this is with the -4 for in combat.) He then takes out his wand of magic missile, just in case.
"We should really be leaving!" 'Imbeciles! Inconceivable!'

GM.Kashka |

Will vs dc 19 charm person: 1d20 + 1 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 5 - 2 = 8
He seems to ease up for the moment.
Bleys is up

![]() |

Lucius grins in what might call an evil grin. "Echo, into the ship! My new friend, you should look to your partners there. The unfortunate misunderstanding we've been having has not been good for their health... I'd hate to see them die for a little misunderstanding."
Lucius then turns to Bleys and says, "Don't blow this one. PUT THE WAND AWAY!" 'Sorcerers...'

![]() |

"Uh, crew! Hoist the sail! Let's get this crumbucket moving! Oy, get a move on!" Delzden attempts to motivate the crew to get going and make the ship leave as soon as possible. Reinforcements might be here any minute now, and by then the pathfinders wouldn't stand a chance.

spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

GM.Kashka |

The enforcer hands Echo a alchemists fire in thanks for allowing him to drag his still alive buddy away. purple Enforcer is dead. You recover another alchemists fire, and two mwk light crossbows and some other loot.
The frightened sailors come on deck and cast off as fast as possible. An angry crowd approaches as the Lines are cast off. You exchange some crossbow fire to keep them at bay to depart.
When it is safe, Mettela appears and berates you. "You foolish pathfinders! I told you we would not be safe making port! And above that you couldn't deal with dock guards efficiently!"

![]() |

Echo jumps into the boat.
"Ratman, at least you understand the value of well timed spells."
"Are the dwarfs secure? Do we need to see to anything else? Passad! Are we clear to go?"

![]() |

Echo glances down at the dwarf.
"Bold words for someone hiding in the hold."
Echo walks away.

![]() |

Ula looks Mettela directly in the eye. "You be quiet there bossy-pants. This was all part of our well implemented plan. You're just not in on said plan, but we can let you in on it if you're nice.
We made dock because now we have a friend. The long drawn out fight was meant to make us look incompetent so they'd leave us along down the road. Who wants to expend resources on a bunch of lame wannabee merchants who can't hold their own? And now that we have a friend, we have an in with them later on, or now, your choice.
And if they are looking, we can change our flag, and they'll be looking for a different group of merchants, and they'll never know it's us causing the distraction you need to get you up the river.
All part of the plan.
Us Pathfinders are on top of things."
Ula bats her eyelashes and gives the prettiest of smiles.
Bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28

Anyone else need healing? Shall we divide the loot?

![]() |

"I'll take the alchemists fire!!!!!!!! All of them!!!!!!!!!" he says, because he has no poker face when it comes to his love of fire.

![]() |

"Echo, come on over here, baby. I'll give you a tap or two of my wand!" Lucius pulls out his wand of clw and waits for her...

![]() |

"Huh, I thought that went rather well," Delzden says, commenting Ula's and Mattala's words. He scratches his head a bit to Ula's story. "I think they were about to raid us anyway. It seems I'm not going to spend my holiday in Razmir, he!"
Delzden will attempt to use his own healing wand.
Use Magic Device: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 "Nope."
Use Magic Device: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 "Naw."
Use Magic Device: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 "Not this time."
Use Magic Device: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 "Try again."
Use Magic Device: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 "There we go!"
Healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 "Excellent!"

![]() |

Ula looks at the gear obtained from the enforcers and the angry female dwarf in front of her before turning her attention to the rest of her fellow Pathfinders. "As I am sure you are all aware by now, some unseen force has decided to grant me, ME, powers of healing and other magics. You don't have to wave your wands about like a group of crazed stick wavers, I can do that! Now let's get out of here, we have places to go!"
Ula pulls out her own wand and heals herself as well.
If we're free and clear I will do the following
Use any character's wand that wants healing, just come to me, no need to UMD it.
I will also buff our melee fighters with the spell Lucky Number
Cure Light Wounds on Self: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Lucky Number Delzden: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Lucky Number Echo: 1d20 ⇒ 13

GM.Kashka |

After a half hour of healing, relaxing and temper-cooling.. the quiet Amauhak will ask "Pathfinders. We are only a few hours away. How do you intend to rescue the prisoners?"
All three passengers stand quietly waiting.

![]() |

"Well, uuh," Delzden begins, not sure how to attest the situation, "we should probably drop off at some point before we see the Grey Revelation place, a ship's quite hard to miss, he! Then move on foot over to the place and be as sneaky as possible!"

![]() |

"On the other hand, Delzdn, we don't have to go in spells blazing, so to speak. If this is an inn, could we not just get rooms, do some talking, etc? We'd just need a cover... Such as being merchants of some sort?"

![]() |

"We should make our way straight to the Gray Revelation Inn, perhaps this time as mute pilgrims of Razmir. However, I do not like hiding in lies- as we just failed to do. And I will add that this was my vote before as well." Even if I did get some new toys from the experience...
Mor'Targh is mostly ready to just attack the Inn with a barrage of fire spells to any rear exits, clear the building of any priests, and rescue (hopefully mostly) damsels in distress.

![]() |

Ula perks up a bit of hearing of the chance to talk to people again, "I like the cut of your jib Lucious. See what I did there? We're on a boat...jib. Ha! Don't worry Delzden, those last people were meanie bo-beanies, they were looking for a fight. And a fight they got, which um...yeah was all part of the plan anyway! We wanted to fight them because remember, we'll disguise ourselves differently this time and put up different flags. We have a different flag for this boat, right? If not, Mor'targh, perhaps we can repurpose your underwear? But I agree, we should go talk to these guys, this time it HAS to work. Lucious can do the talking and I'll back him up if they start demanding details! See, that's all part of the plan to look different, last time it was a merchant crew led by a female gnome, this time time it will be a half-rat man. We're just full of great ideas. Glad you guys thought this through and came up with such a good plan."
Bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Ula starts getting ready for the plan to act as merchants again, regardless of any other conversation that may occur.

![]() |

[b]"Didn't this Grey Revelation Inn work as some sort of base operation for those Razmiran tortures and such? I doubt it's that kind of inn, he! I'd very much prefer a much... cautious way of approach. We don't know what kind of a fortress it is. Maybe their rooms are just cell, he!"
Seems like we can't agree on the way of approach. Delzden's charisma is negligible though, so I assume he doesn't get a say in what we really are going to do.

GM.Kashka |

"good thinking Lucious and Ula. You two make an excellent team! Merchants would make for an excellent cover. Perhaps scouting the establishment for a potential regular waystation." Passad is grinning as he concludes.
A scoffing Mettela counters. "It worked out so well last time! You keep listening to this man and see how far it gets you. This is Razmir. Religious pilgrims travel through all the time seeking enlightenment. T'would not be unheard of to seek peace and quiet."
Passad laughs at this. "Come now.. do these look like religious nuts?" He will gesture at you as he laughs at the angry dwarf.
Amauhak intervenes before the argument gets worse. "we will remain on the ship. Take our advice and use as you see fit. What say you?"

![]() |

Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 2
"Certain drive towards fanatical worship of a theology doesn't require a precise set of appearances," Delzden comments to Passad, "disguising as monks on a pilgrimage could work. The rest pose as merchants giving us, the monks, a passage for a fee. The scheme works. No need to go with just one plan, better have two, he!"

![]() |

sense motive: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16
"Oh, Ula, Babe! The Luscious One is only good at telling the truth. I just can't bring this wonderful mouth to utter a lie, if my life depended upon it."
bluff: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (20) - 2 = 18 WHAT? You all believe that line of crap?
"So, I think we should once again pose as merchants, but maybe our sweet gnome here should think through her lies first. It is just us, for example. We are the crew, and the entire set of passengers. Yes, we are all expert sailors, of course! Passad and Mettala, should we be posing as ambassadors of your interests? Or should we make something else up? I am guessing that none of us represents interests of Qadiran or Szcarni <ahem> merchants at the present time?"

![]() |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
"Those are both excellent options Mr. Dwarf man. I agree with Lucious, let's combine the two. We can be merchants with our religious friends who told us to come here! Sounds like an idea to me! Lucious and I are merchants, we have our guards since the River Kingdoms on the way here are so dangerous, and then we're all here to talk to the friendly people of Razmir because of our friends that are zealots. It's like Thursday evening back at the Lodge! I'm ready."
Ula looks ready to go and is just waiting for her fellow adventurers to agree to what is probably a terrible idea.

![]() |

"No, love, let's just pick one or the other. I think you had a good idea there, what with us being the merchants, and the others being the guards. Good merchants need good guards, right?
"Besides, we look so good together, no one would believe that we weren't the brains of the operation. And no mere guard would have a lovely lady such as yourself on one arm, and a beautiful bird like Sappho on the other.
"Although if Echo wanted to be on my other arm, I am sure we could work something out." He winks at Echo.

GM.Kashka |

Metella is just shaking her head at this... "whatever you decide.. just make sure your searches occur under cover of darkness.." She turns to return below deck. Passad will nod and agree before proceeding below deck with the dwarves, turning to smile once more and disappear.
