Round 0 Charging
Shohiraj charges the gunner with her rapier ...
Rapier: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 for Piercing: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 and Sneak: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1, 3) = 14

Dungeon Master S |

322 tries to stop the gunslinger cold WILL: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21, but shrugs off the spell. Shohiraj tries to get the gunslinger in a more mundane fashion and drives her blade deep into his hip.

Zurnzal, The Ambitious |

Using my Slippers to get a normal round in the surprise round.
Zurnzal darts forward onto the otherside of the gunslinger. He quickly remembers a trick to grab an item and moves to take the gun away from his wounded target.
Not sure if the Gunslinger is armed or not. If armed, using Disarm; if not, using a steal Combat manueuver, which will be 2 lower.
Get gun @ Gunslinger: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 +2 if it was a disarm
Nevermind, I have a gun.

I guess people are more afraid of a gunslinger ;-) sorry guys, busier day than expected.

Shohiraj; The Professional |

I couldn't get to the spell caster without passing close by the paladin and/or the gunner ... or dancing on the tables. Even being invisible, I figured that would attract attention at the time. Events proceeded faster than i had hope, so even though I am actually more concerned about the spell caster, I couldn't get a charge off against him or close enough to attack him this round ... I'm thinking next round will sting a little :-(

Marnarious |
I guess I can be the one to piss the wizard off then..
Eladrian takes a good look at the spell caster as he moves into the room and fires at the spell caster. Swift action: Study Target=+2/+2. If the spell caster is Human, +4/+4
Attack: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 2 = 27
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12

Is this also your round 1? In the surprise round you get a standard action only.

Marnarious |
ok I misread when you said you were giving us a full surprise round..for some reason I thought that meant a "full round" as a surprise round. Split the move off as the surprise round, and the study/attack as round 1

Dungeon Master S |

Zurnzal dashes in like a bolt of lightning and yanks the musket from the man's hand before he even realizes that it's a trick! He swears with an incredible shout and lashes out to grab his gun back 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 and fails m-i-s-e-r-i-b-l-y.
Marnarius draws blood on the caster. Thick teeth and slightly greenish skin reveal it's a half=orc, who is now very, very mad.
Round 1
Ralirio: Totally blows it.
Zurnzal: Go!
Marnarius: Study and attack
Telandril: DAZED
Joliryn: Go!
Shohiraj: Go!
Rataji: Go!
322: Wil cast Bane
Loshari: TBD
Ralirio: 24
Telandril: 15 (Dazed For Round 1)
Loshari: 26

Joliryn, The Artist |

Joliryn concentrates for a moment and a greasy substance shoots from her fingers to cover the floor around the paladins feet. Grease DC15 or fall, acrobatics 10 to move through at half speed. I'm assuming she automatically fails since she can't take any actions.
She'll then circle around the pillar hoping to move against the caster unseen.

Shohiraj; The Professional |

Round 1 Flanking
Shohiraj steps 5ft into a flanking position and attacks again ...
Rapier: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19 for Piercing: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 and Sneak: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 1) = 13

Dungeon Master S |

Dazed prevents you from taking action, but reaction is still okay (Dazed characters are not flatfooted, and therefore not subject to sneak attack for example. REF: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9, and the paladin slips and crashes into the stone floor. The gunslinger narrowly avoids Shohiraj's blade.
Ralirio: Totally blows it.
Zurnzal: Go!
Marnarius: Study and attack
Telandril: DAZED
Joliryn: Grease!
Shohiraj: Stab
Rataji: Go!
322: Wil cast Bane
Loshari: TBD
Ralirio: 24
Telandril: 15 (prone)

Zurnzal, The Ambitious |

@GM: Does the gunslinger happen to have improved disarm? If not... AoO boot to the head!
Boot to the head AoO: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
Damage on hit: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Zurnzal then smiles cruely as he fires the gunslinger's own weapon at him point blank! Assuming silly gunslinger didn't arm himself with something.
Musket @ Gunslinger touch AC: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 9 - 4 = 19
Damage on hit: 1d12 ⇒ 9

Dungeon Master S |

He does not, so your AoO stands Zurnzal cracks the slinger in the face when he goes for his own gun. The man then reaches for a sap, being the only weapon he has left. He swings it as he's looking at the wrong end of his musket: ATK: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10, but fails when he takes a blast to the shoulder.
Rolling the saves versus Bane now:
Ralirio: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Telandril:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Loshari: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
I'm beginning to see why these Pathfinders are on a punishment detail...
Ralirio: Totally blows it.
Zurnzal: Shoots and scores
Marnarius: Study and attack
Telandril: DAZED
Joliryn: Grease!
Shohiraj: Stab
Rataji: Go!
322: Bane
Loshari: TBD
Ralirio: 45
Telandril: 15 (prone)

[dice=Musket @ Gunslinger touch AC]1d20+9-4
[dice=Damage on hit]1d12
This is awesome BTW

Zurnzal, The Ambitious |

Thanks! Not an optimal action, but man would that be demoralizing. Think I have another idea to run it in some more :)
When I ran this, the party also made short work of these guys. The best part was when either 322 or Rataji used Murderous Command on the Gunslinger, who failed his save, and then one-shotted the sorceror with a crit to the face. It went down hill very fast from there :P

The leader, Rataji |

Rataji concentrates on the wizard wounded by Marnarious and deeming him to be the most dangerous of the three pathfinders casts his magic against him!
Standard action, cast hideous laughter on the wizard, DC 18 to resist its effect otherwise fall prone and be considered helpless

Dungeon Master S |

Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Will post update after school (3:30 EST)

Dungeon Master S |

The Pathfinder resists the spell and explodes into action. The words come naturally as a streak of fire turns into a massive fireball. Ref DC 17 for half of 7d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 6, 3, 4, 4, 1) = 25. The gunslinger immediately takes a short step back and downs a potion. His wounds heal a bit.

Dungeon Master S |

Sorry, I thought I posted the outline on the map:
Rataji, 322, and Marnarius

![]() |

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
"dm’khlyeh!"
322 moves in, now intent on doing the spellcaster some harm, beginning with using her gift of madness.
DC 17 Will save or be confused for 7 rounds.

Zurnzal, The Ambitious |

I got it covered
"You take care of him.", Zurnzal delegating the gunslinger ' s defeat to Shohiraj as the half-orc goes around the table and grabs the caster. "Not doing that again!"
Grapple at caster, no Improved Grapple so I do provoke an AoO from the caster.
Grapple: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
-Posted with Wayfinder

Marnarious |
Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Sizzling and smoking for the fireball, Marnarious manages to come out mostly unscathed.
"You will not live long enough to regret that, fool!!" he growls, putting arrow to string.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 10 + 2 = 32
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 2 = 18
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 2 = 19
If confirmed, x3 damage. Not sure if you are going to put this attack before or after Zurnzal, but if the caster is without his dex bonus, I get to add Sneak Attack: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Dungeon Master S |

Zurnzal rushes in and attempts to grab the half-orc spellcaster. She's got a blade by her side and tries to sneak a slash in AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 and manages to score a hit DMG: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2) + 4 = 9. The brawler's arms wrap her up and she's very much grappled. Marnarius drives a pair of arrows into the caster. Added crit damage: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (6, 5) + 10 = 21. The arrows hit her right in the chest. She's practically out on her feet (staggered.) The holy warrior, though prone, shows no sign of giving up.
She stands up, wobbly as she is, and takes a step forward Acrobatics: 1d20 + 3 - 5 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 5 = -1 and promptly falls down again at Joliryn's feet.
322, I know you posted, but the situation is different come your turn. Feel free to do something else.
Ralirio: Potion

Dungeon Master S |

The gunslinger does take a swipe at Zurnzal as he leaves the man to his fate AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 Nonlethal: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

Shohiraj; The Professional |

Round 2
Shohiraj continues her attack on the gunslinger ...
Rapier: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 for Piercing: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

The leader, Rataji |

Seeing the enemy wizard taken out of the fight an idea passes through Rataji scheming mind:"Don't kill her! We may want to use her as an hostage later on!" he yells before sending an icy ray against the paladin.
Casting Ray of frost against the pally
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 -> Damage roll: 1d3 ⇒ 2
EDIT:Forgot the reflex check
Reflex save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Joliryn, The Artist |

Seeing the wizard is mostly taken care of, Joliryn turns back to the paladin.
"Fine I won't kill her, but you're not going to subdue her either with a spell like that!"
Channeling Shocking grasp through my weapon.
Scimitar: 1d20 + 12 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 12 + 3 = 181d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 81d6 ⇒ 3 Hopefully that hits with her -4 to AC, these rolls are killing me.
Shocking Grasp DMG: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 6, 2) = 18
8 Slashing Dmg, 3 Fire Dmg, 18 Electricity dmg

Dungeon Master S |

Rataji's cantrip misses. Because the paladin is down, Joliryn's less than mediocre slash connects (the metal armor doesn't hurt either.) Shohiraj connects with the disarmed gunslinger.
Not sure 322 wants to target a staggered foe. I'll give the agent a chance to do something else.

Knowing there's no way they're going to win this, the sorceress tries to go down swinging. 322's attack misses, so she tries to cast a spell defensively Concentration: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19, and it fizzles.
She bows her head, then falls unconscious. The gunslinger shouts, "Loshari!" before going crazy. He swings twice with his sap at Shohiraj:
1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 Nonlethal: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Zurnzal, The Ambitious |

Zurnzal shifts his feet, now in advantage to maintain his grapple properly and with greater effect.
Using a move action to use Martial Flexibility to gain Improved Grapple and Deadly Grappler to deal damage as if I was one size category larger.
Maintain Grapple -> Pin: 1d20 + 13 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 5 = 22
Assuming that will succeed
"How do you like that, honeybunch?", Zurnzal sarcastically asks as he uses his foot to push against the sorceress's back, both arms pulled back by the controlling half-orc.

She's was unconcious before your action, you might just be playing with a dead body now!

Dungeon Master S |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Yeah, it's up to you Zurnzal, I mean... that could be his thing.

Zurnzal, The Ambitious |

Whoops, I did miss that... d'oh. Yeah, that won't impress the Aspis leaders to hear about that.
Zurnzal, shifts his feet, moving towards the sappy gunslinger and uses his musket to trip him!
Improved Trip @ Gunslinger: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 13 + 2 = 26

Dungeon Master S |

The exploitation is sweet, and Zurnzal knocks the broken man to his arse!

Marnarious |
Not sure who is dead and who still needs some "convincing", so if this doesnt fit, I can edit my actions.
Marnarious draws another arrow, and steps towards the paladin, where he lays on the ground. With an evil grin, he calmly places two arrows square in the middle of the paladins armor.

Marnarius slaughters the paladin. She dies an ignoble deatch, covered in grease and laying on her back.
Calling it. What fate do you want for the gunslinger?
-Posted with Wayfinder

Joliryn, The Artist |

"So much for not killing her. You boys love gratuitous slaughter."
Joliryn wipes off her own blade and starts peering around the room.
"Do what you want with the last one, I'm taking a look around."
Detect Magic
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Glad I'm not attacking anymore.

Assuming you cast detect magic:
magic breastplate, magic greatsword, magic composite longbow (+2 Str) with 20 arrows, 10 cold iron arrows, and 10 alchemical silver arrows, dagger,
