You guys are currently standing around in the cart at the end of the line with the enemy bodies at your feet and Towering buildings and forgotten architecture fill the skyline hidden deep within the rocky pillar. Cramped and decaying columns line avenues and market squares, representing only a fragment of their former glory. Dark shadows play amidst the flickers of light that rain from the chasm opening above.

Galdur picks up the ring and remarks on its craftsmanship. Then he reaches into his robes & pulls out a small brass aspis pin. "I kept this from a former mission, never know when it might be handy," he laughs.
I don't have spellcraft, but can try to activate anything blindly if you want the jeweler to. (+8)

"Master Galdur, so we have found the Wayfinder but not its owner. If this band was holding him, my guess is they were heading back to where he is held captive. That is, if he still lives. The oath was to find him, and by the Inheritor, we shall!. "
Omrax is going to see if any doorways are near. If none evident, search and detect evil.

Galdur twiddles two fingers pointing down. "The dwarven legs are short, but this dwarven skin is thick. I'll take second after Wreck."
poor mobility, decent AC. But then I can summon a good distance so rear guard is fine by the chuckling dwarf :)
Omrax the Bold |
Omrax is fine with whichever order while investigating the streets. As shown on map is good.
"Be wary for hidden foes."
Galdur XXI |
Wreck, Alan, Omrax, Galdur. I think we are high enough level we can split up so the first is 35' from the last and not in a line. (Fine as in not meta-gaming :) on the map I dinnae know which direction is 'first' but otherwise looks good to me.
Dungeon Master S |
For the ease of play, let's say that AS you discuss the marching order, you're beset by a half dozen creatures! (Knowledge: Dungeoneering) They get the jump on you a split second before a massive crash echoes ahead of you. The strange creatures practically crawl over themselves as they make their way over. While not the smartest combatants, they vigorously slash at the warriors while charging from above.

The chaos of the situation is too much for Galdur to identify them. The stone golem, however is easy to recognize. Season 0 playing down. They don't stay this easy. I'll give Alan some time before having him delay a couple slots to resolve the fighters. It's a holiday weekend after all.

The stone golem, however is easy to recognize.
Any spells I should avoid against a stone golem? any weapons I want to employ against a stone golem?
Galdur steps back and tries to create some breathing room for the party. The dwarf casts a spell and drops a hand to the ground. The stones in front of him rumble and then drop away.

Wreck slaughters a full quartet of the creatures near him. Alan nearly drops another one of the creatures (leaving him near death and backed up by only one other.) Alan's kick sends it directly into Omrax's blade. He drops the creature, leaving only one left.

The remaining biped takes a sliding step over to keep the Pathfinders at bay. He follows it up with a swing of the club, 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 which the half-elf blocks easily. It's again followed up by a bite. 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18 and again the attack is easily defended.

A rare miss from Alan keeps the monster in play for now (You had two options for 5' stepping into place, one gets you flanked. I chose the other, but feel free to move it you don't mind being that close to the golem). Meanwhile Wreck takes a massive chunk out of the golem. Omrax cuts the humanoid down leaving everyone against the golem. Galdur has a wicked swing, but destroys only the flagstone path.
The golem swings twice with its massive fists, aimed directly at teh clearest threat, Wreck:

He slaps Wreck on the shoulder, attempting to cure some of the damage.

Alan scores only few glancing blows, unable to cause any real damage this time. Wreck continues his "work of art" and there is little of the fighting golem left after his slices. Galdur lands a hit, though the magic of the golem turns much of the damage aside unless I'm missing something.
The golem returns Wreck's attacks with a macabre silence.
