Alright, cool cool.

Do I have to do anything to include my character in the Characters tab? And to add my self in the Players tab?

You can post/reply on the Gameplay Tab, and whatever name you used to post as (Account/Alias/Character) will be added to the Characters tab, and you will be added as Player as well =)

Yes, but only GMs have such absolute power, I'm sure Poblano will take care of that when he sees your message.

I'd only like to remind you that Forum Names, Aliases or Character Names will be set in stone after 10 posts, in case you want to make a change to your Altronus alias before that.

@Madchappy - I wouldn't worry too much, if you're used to regular PF games then you'll be fine since play-by-post is just a slower version of it. If anything comes up that you need to know about we'll let you know, but since it's Starfinder there are things that may even confuse a couple of us veterans. One thing that people like to do is under the "Class/Levels" section of your profile, whatever you put under there shows up under your username in the threads that you post in so it's helpful to have a basic statblock so we don't need to go into your profile to see basic information like AC, HP, etc.

As an example, here's my Oracle's line of text:

Oracle/1 HP 8/8 | AC 18 | T 12 | FF 16 | CMD 11 | Fort +0 | Ref +2 | Will +1 | Perc -1 | Init +2 | Arrows: 54/60 | Spells: 2/3 | Wand: 9

...and it shows up like this! *points above*

My love for genies also made me want to roll that Ifrit sorcerer archetype, Wishcrafter. Basically you give up your bloodline to get the wishbound arcana, as a free action someone can make a wish and if you can fulfill that wish with a spell the wish works as a spell component and you cast the spell at a +1 caster level. Seems like a lot of fun!

Guess what just arrived......my hard copy of Starfinder. Woot woot

I GM from my desk at work so it's kind of ity bity too. ;)

Envoy is pretty cool! Lots of bluff checks and I can distract people so we can all do Stealth checks and hide and stuff. Pretty fun, interested to see how it goes!

And congrats Madchappy! LOOK AT THE CUTE LITTLE YSOKIS :D

Edit: OH ALSO, I saw some pages of the CRB a few days ago and was looking over the Mechanic stuff for my character but it was missing ONE page, the page that goes over the Exocortex or whatever its called, the other option instead of taking an AI robot/pet. Could you give me a quick gist of what that involves? I know it's supposed to be a bit of a buff to your character to compensate for the lack of a pet but I just don't know by how much.

As to getting your character on the characters tab, and getting your name, you just have to go post something on the Gameplay tab. Make sure you do it as your character, though. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Re: Exocortices. I know they give you proficiency (and later specialization) in longarms and heavy armor, and I think it gives you some way of getting pseudo-full BaB, though hopefully someone with the CRB can chime in.

So trying to work on these at work is difficult but i have one done so far.

I can help you out with a digested version of how it works in about, 10 hours, timing is due to not having my computer with me, and going to sleep in 10m. (To not copy paste parts of the book before the 17).

Oh, and I've got my Obo alias set up, so feel free to skip her or leave her for last depending on whether you're setting up a bank of these to use for the future.

Oh wow heavy armor too? I figured it would give you combat capability to make up for the lack of the pet but that seems a bit ridiculous for what sounds like a summoner-type class! I was just hoping for some skill boosts with the exocortice. Omg I was just looking at Quig and the best part about Ysoki; mouth pouches. xD What a ridiculous racial xD I mean I'm sure it can be quite useful but how silly, lol.

Exocortex
You begin play with an exocortex, implanted within your physical body or brain allowing your AI to access your mind and feed you information.
As you gain levels, your exocortex advances in sophistication and processing power. Only you can access or interact with your exocortex.

Combat Tracking (Ex) 1st Level
Your exocortex provides you with enhanced combat ability, granting you proficiency with heavy armor and longarms. At 3rd level, you gain weapon specialization in longarms. As a move action during combat, you can designate a foe for your exocortex to track. As long as that target is in sight, the exocortex feeds you telemetry, vulnerabilities, and combat tactics, allowing you to make attacks against that target as if your base attack bonus from your mechanic levels were equal to your mechanic level. Designating another target causes you to immediately lose this bonus against the previous target.

Memory Module (Ex) 1st Level
You can use your exocortex’s memory module to enhance your own knowledge. Once per day, as a reaction while not in combat, you can reroll a failed skill check (see page 243) to recall knowledge (see page 143). In addition, your exocortex grants you the Skill Focus feat as a bonus feat. You can’t use your exocortex’s memory module while combat tracking is activated. Every time you gain a mechanic level, you can rebuild your exocortex’s memory module, replacing the exocortex’s
bonus Skill Focus feat with Skill Focus in a different skill.

How do I add an avatar to my character since I already saved it?

Just testing the stat block, I have to fix the stats

Click on "My Account" up at the top of the screen. On that page there should be a list of your aliases. If you click the edit button next to Raia (or whoever) that will take you to the screen where you can select an avatar.

EDIT

If they're a PFS/SFS character then you'll want to click on the "My Pathfinder Society" link at the top of the screen instead.

So I don't see Raia in my aliases, do I have to add the character there as well? I set up the character in Pathfinder Society page.

Realized slightly late that Raia was an SFS character. Follow essentially the same steps, but start with "My Pathfinder Society"

Yeah, sounds like a good plan. I'm actually getting used to the idea of waiting 'till tomorrow to download my PDF.

Are you going to be creating a stat block for Ispeh/Operative GM or should I do that before the 25th?
