Just go with the druid. He sounds cool.

Maybe, I'm working on one other, an ifrit tattooed efretii bloodline sorcerer, buffing and crowd control focus.
I should have one, if not both, done by Friday.

Can't tell if this is pazio or not, due to mobile always cutting out that label. Think it would work well with one of my ideas, but wanted to see if it was alright first.
Basically, it's a slot-less silenced+stilled lesser metamagic rod, but with only one use a day instead of 3.

It is Paizo - it's from Inner Sea Magic.

Alright, thanks.

Is there any way we're supposed to show up, or it that left to is in the backstory?

Dark Archive

You were unconscious when you were taken.

Mmk then. Can do.

Will post backstory and build for my first concept soon.

backstory:

Timotej

Timotej is a young ifrit. Always having a rough time, he was left alone at 10 years old. (rather unsurprising, considering the time.) He never was very strong, leading to him being beaten (literally) by his competitors frequently. Usually quite hungry, he got quite skilled at quickly attacking small things before they could respond, so he could eat properly... But half the time, he'd have his food taken anyway, so he always had to improve.

One day he fell asleep leaning on a tree, and soon awoke to his back burning. After much panicking and flailing until his back was put out, he eventually found out that the tree had caught fire somehow, causing a small creature to fall out of the tree, unconscious. This small creature was something unknown to him, like those who he was in competition with, but... Smaller, and shiny, with a strange form of clothes (robe) and a small stick with a string attached to it (bow). He considered what to do for quite a while, before picking the creature up and taking it to a cave entrance to hide it. Afterwords, he went out to get food, grabbing up a rabbit when no-one could see him. When he brought it back to the cave, he came up with an idea. Noticing it's fur was soft, he removed the pelt and used it to make a soft sheet for the small creature to lay on.

A few days later, Padma gradually awoke to see the half-Efritti across the "room". He was drawing on the ground with his finger, fascinated with the fact that he seemed to be able to make the ground have black marks by thinking about it. Yet, the padma recoiled in fear, and attempted to hide, putting his light out nearly entirely. The creature didn't really respond, as far as Padma could tell. Moments later, he realized the creature Probably could see him anyway, and he couldn't see at all now, so he released some more dim light. He stared at the creature silently, ready to take any opportunity to run.

Timotej cocked his head to the side, staring at the creature who had just restored color to his vision. He made no sudden movements, it was already looking at him, and going to it may cause it to run, much like a rabbit. He watched the creature with silent curiosity, unaware of the fear it felt. He inched foreward, and the creature quickly moved back in response. Curious, he did so again, and the creature moved away farther, and quicker, until it came to a nearby corner. He stepped back, and sat back down, curious as to why it acted in such a way. He'd never seen anything act quite like this. After he sat down, the creature kept pressed to the corner.

Padma saw the ifrit approach, the flame demon giving him no option of escape, no easy way through. Pressed against the corner of the cave, he would have to try and run... But... The demon backed off, and sat down, continuing to look at him. Was he trying to torment him? Is he waiting for something? Silence between the two continued for some time, Padma afraid to move, timotej silently watching.

Timotej eventually has the idea that this creature may understand what he was taught when he was young... Language wasn't a big thing yet, and after most creatures didn't respond to it at all, he rarely thought it use it. He began slowly trying to crackle, trying to use something he hadn't used for 7 years, the soft, crackling language of his father.

Padma listened to the demon crackle and hiss. His fear renewed, as this creature created noises embodying his nature, this Horrible creature of fire.

Timotej got quite a reaction out of his language, but not what he was hoping for. He finally noticed that the creature was scared, and thought his words made the creature afraid, and he stopped quickly, before getting up and backing up slowly, hands raised, before sitting down again, in an attempt to alleviate the creature's fear.

Padma was just confused now. Was the demon trying to be nice? Is this what he thought it was? Perhaps it wasn't a fire demon after all, perhaps something else. The creature stayed still, and Padma tried to slowly walk past it. The creature made no movements to stop him, and eventually, Padma left.

Timotej was saddened at the creature's departure, but all together unsurprised. He decided he was too tired to gather meat today, and simply want out and gathered some simple fruits. When he came back, he are most of the fruit, and set aside one in case the creature came back. He was getting tired, but couldn't help but think of the strange creature that visited him today. He took his finger and drew several crude pictures on the wall, to remember the time by. First, him finding the strange creature, then him skinning the rabbit. Him watchign over the creature, the creature afraid, and finally, the creature leaving. He discovered he quite liked drawing.

Padma had flown back to his home, looking over the charred wreck that was his tree. Unsurprisingly, he was quite upset, blaming timotej. (to be fair, it /was/ his fault.) Padma decided to kill the demon in any way he could, before venturing back late at night. Timotej was asleep by this time, drawings all over the walls of the cave. Padma saw the drawings, and was even more curious then ever, and quite confused. There was even food, laid in the open, not hidden or stored. Padma couldn't bring himself to kill the creature. He wanted to know more about him, and decided to watch him go about his business for a while. He'd decide what to do then.

Years passed, and through a mutual interest in the other, both became quite good friends. Timotej learned how to speak sylvan from Padma, and speaks it with surprising fluidity. Padma also helped him learn how to use his inherit magic, and because of Padma's influence, it turned up in a much more passive fighting style, focusing on hindering foes. Padma was always treated well, and got to see much more of the world without having to stay anywhere for safety. As they wandered, timotej would leave various drawings wherever he stayed.

It didn't take long after timotej gained magic powers for his love of drawing to show on his physical form, as tattoos showed up from time to time when he learned spells. Padma and timotej eventually formed a soul-pact, granting Padma extra power, and linking him to timotej.

It didn't take long before they started hunting more then just food, and took things from various people, hinting down those with magic items to take their things, usually leaving the victim alive.*

Naturally, in these hunts, he eventually met his match, getting knocked out... But for whatever reason... He showed up elsewhere.

*(I realize this is usually quite the evil act, but this was a while before moral laws were set, and it was survival of the fittest. There's a reason he's TN.)

I'll post stats later. I have the base stats, but not things like CMB and ac. The stuff I get them from is set up, though. Just a little busy for that at the Moment. Should have it done later tonight.

Crude statblock can be found under timotej's alias. Not posting with it in case I don't get in, so I can delete it.

I took the liberty of linking to profile pages. If there isn't a profile yet (at least on that account), I instead linked to the post with the crunch and/or fluff.

If I missed you, or an important post, let me know. :)

Do I need to put my stats into an actual charecter sheet, or can I just list everything out in my profile, as usual? Both contain the same info, one is just organized differently.

Dark Archive

Profile's fine.

Should have the full thing up by tonight, then.

Oh, uh, do we roll for hp or take average?
Nevermind, I found the answer.

Everything but the familiar's stat block is done.

Oh, and I haven't picked my cantrips.
Cantrips are done now.
Familiar's block is done.

Now, I just wait to see if I get in, I guess.

I will do a profile if I get in. I have over a dozen already and would like to avoid creating another unnecessarily.

I'm getting close to 30 and I still made one. XD

I'm confident in my character.

This is ♣♠Magic♦♥'s Celtic Catfolk Summoner finished and ready for action.

I may be missing something, so feel free to tell me what it is.

This is his eidolon.

I have 29 aliases

I have 24. Most of witch are for the same campaign.

6 are inactive. 1 is an alt for another alias. 1 is the multi-campaign "generic monster alias"

I'm on the same side of the fence as Vrog. I have between 5 and 10 aliases that I've made for concepts that I just don't want to post on until they ahve a home. That way I can freely remove them. As I make most of my characters to fit the world, rather than to simply have the character, it just seems wise to have the ability to delete as opposed to rename.

I also made more than one submission for this (though I did make a profile page for both. I just don't intend to post on both if one will likely be deleted.) I think we'd all like to be confident in our submissions, but we all have good and strong competition. :)

Thanks for putting up that list. I know the links must be a pain. It's really helpful.
I hope we make the game together, because you seem like the kind of person I'd like to play with. :)
Well, I hope your Steel Character makes it, I mean. Would kind of defeat the purpose if your Bronze character beat out mine. XD

The Information Age is a bit lonely, though. XD

Also, I noticed that items of more advanced technology seem to be lower in price for those from a higher age... are Technology Guide items still full price for Information Age characters, or can we look forward to a lower cost and thus more use of them? Either way works, of course. I'm mostly just curious. (If selected, my goal is to build Hecate into a cybernetic gunslinger with whatever items from the guide seem fitting)

I dunno. Judging by the lattices I can see up there, I kind of figure Damian Sol will be chosen, putting FPZ up against my kitty and either Yuudai or Naltart. Ditto for my kitty v. her and one or the other. Phoebe is up against your submission. So if you get chosen, then that means that for me to get chosen either Yuudai and Naltart must not be chosen, or Damian Sol can't be. The issue there being that I feel like the Machinesmith really fits the age the best.

Though to be honest, the only one I feel is 100% going to win so far is Hecate... and currently Pierce has no competition, either.

Either way, it's really not much work to do it. When I have spare time throughout the day I tend to randomly browse the forums. Keeping up a text document and dumping it in here whenever there's been a significant update is pretty much -less- effort than posting in one of the other threads, while at the same time giving me an excuse to converse and such without feeling guilty for increasing the post count of the thread. As an important note: The bigger the thread is, the less likely I am to even attempt it. Like GM Rednal's campaign was already up to like 2 pages before I even thought of posting, and from what I could tell it was people roleplaying with one another, which made me feel like there wasn't much point in me posting, even though I liked the idea of the campaign. So... no insults intended to Rednal by me not throwing a character at you :P

Also, I thought about making a rogue/alchemist with grafted arms for the information age, but... it seemed -really- awkward to submit even more characters than I already did. Especially with the level of work it takes to build a level 5 character from top to bottom and make sure they make sense. Plus, the concept would require me asking the GM if I could just spend -all- my money on arms + legs and have pretty much nothing else to start with, because I liked the concept. And... I don't like asking for special treatment. :)

I only make decisions for my games at the very end - submissions made five minutes before the deadline are given equal consideration with the earliest ones people put up. I care about quality and intend to pick only the most deserving players. ^^ For my games, at least, don't let post count dissuade you from submitting someone.

I don't expect to get in. I'm going up agaisnt a sentient lynx. I have feeling that tops mine.

I'll keep that in mind, Rednal. But I'm totally going to pass on this one. I've thrown out a line for about 5 different games just now... and I don't want to go from constantly refreshing one campaign (hi MDT!) to trying to constantly refresh five... while having other things I've applied for, and... scary!

Even though I probably have the lack of life necessary to handle all of that... I'd rather not disappoint. :) I'll probably aim for the next one. :)

I am an artist by no means, but:
I drew his eidolon.

Is recruitment still on? I'd kind of like to be a modern or information age brawler or slayer.

Shadow Lodge

If you're having trouble deciding
1d2 ⇒ 1
Slayer 1
Brawler 2
1d2 ⇒ 2
Modern 1
Information 2

Strike that, just looked it up, submissions ended today,
Just barely missed it.

Dagnabbit. Oh well.

Shadow Lodge

Bad luck chap

He didn't say what time he was closing today. :) So I'm sure if you have the time to squeak something in, no one would be overly upset. Just don't push yourself to make something day of, unless you have a concept you're dying to see, methinks. :)

True. If you can smash out a character and backstory in a couple hours, feel free to try. XD

Yeah. Each of mine took a few hours for crunch. Feeb's concept was there from the beginning. The ideas for Gray 's episodic past were mostly there. I scrapped a few, and spun a few around.

Huzzah! Congratulations to everyone, and I'll throw together my alias soon. Probably expand Hecate's backstory, too, so there's more to work with. ^^ I think she'll end up being quite fun to play, really...

:P There was no doubt in my mind that Hecate was going to be selected. (hehe)

How... Unsurprising.
Ah well.

I mean, I was competing against someone you knew, so it was hopeless anyway, and my backstory was bad anyway.

Not really hopeless Icehawk, I think we've traded 2-3 posts so far before this thread. So it's not like we knew each other for years or anything.

That, and from what little time I've been on the recruitment forums, I've been able to see that Scath is cursed. :)
Also, for another strange breakdown:

Stone: Cat
Bronze: Cat
Steel: Cat
Industrial: Human
Machinery: Human
Modern: Human
Information: Human

Ok. So, my charecter was bad. I already admitted that.

Every group (not just PF numerous groups for videos games as well) l've ever been in on the internet fell apart due to infighting after less then a year or two after I joined. Every one, ever. Even ones where I only would ever post answers to questions I was asked, so my influence was minimal.

Probably best for everyone I'm nowhere near you.

I wouldn't say bad, just didn't have weeks of prep like a lot of us did.

And yeah, seems like he's cursed alright. :) Hopefully that doesn't continue.

I'm not in it, so it probably will go alright.

Good luck, scath.

One thing I can tell you, ice: I've been there. I've been there a lot in the past. A person has to realize at some point that they aren't the center of the universe. It's something I deal with a -lot-, blaming myself for things that are only -kind of- my fault. You have to realize there are dozens of other people involved in what you're talking about and that it's the way that the world works that things, unfortunately, come and go. Don't give up on finding things that are right for you. Sure, there are times where bad luck happens, but a bit of effort, and a bit of luck can make a real difference in a lot of things. Do note: I'm not saying you aren't trying. I'm expressly saying to keep trying. If you think your character was bad, then work on that. No one else even suggested that it was bad. Find what you didn't like, and change it. :)

And yeah, Scath, Grey's also 'cursed' but in a different way. I thought about asking for a custom drawback, but figured it might be a bit much, especially since I didn't really have a trait I wanted to buy with it anyway... even if it was an awesome theme.

Fickle Gift:
When you took the attached trait you made a deal of some sort (in grey's case, to provide a portion of whatever he earned to Fickle Moon), exchanging something to another being for a minor boon. Regardless of what you offered to your patron, if you ever renege on this deal, the benefits of the trait you selected are immediately inverted into penalties. An atonement spell is not required to settle your debt, though in some cases it may well help. Going above and beyond the promise you made, as determined by your GM, can also assuage this guilt.

I was going to attach that to his phase of the moon trait. It would have been awesome. But I -really- couldn't find any other cool traits.

I think it's a bit easier to just say he's superstitious and does it anyway, just in case, though he may (or may not, as the DM decides) be outside of Fickle Moon's reach. :)

I don't like the whole dang thing.

It failed, and as such, it's worthless, and I'm doing something wrong.

I mean, aside from how predictable it was, and the hard to read format, and the fact that I used an outsider race, and the fact that I used "primal fey".
