Welcome Barrister. I've got a starter encounter just beginning (as soon as I finish my map). The group has just rolled initiative, so there's still time to jump in if you like. The link is under the "recruitment" tab. It's called Bandits Attack.

More specifically for me and right now (lol!) I was thinking a 1 level dip into Barb. Can I be either, did the u-classses trump the normal, or is it GM call?
You cannot mic and match u-barb + barb. It is one or the other. Hope that makes sense. It is like PFS and core vs non-core.

Oh, I know, same as I couldn't mix rogue and slayer, or alchemist and investigator. But several GMs, myself in campaigns included, will limit selection to, say, uMonk and uRogue only, but Summoner and Barb can pick either.
Just making sure it was an option on all, so I can get dat Urban Barb rocking!
I went with normal Barb for the Urban archetype; if it ends up being an invalid selection, I'll gladly change him.
You can totally mix Rogue and Slayer. They removed that restriction when the ACG went to press.
