I do not think so. You do not exactly use a golem. Do you? From what I remember items can only inflict the curse when they are used.

Erine will be happy to have Goat assist Broccan in carrying the construct if needed, but I get the feeling we aren't supposed to keep it, so we'll assume it ends in disaster. Maybe there's an unfortunate fall down the stairs that destroys the whole thing. :P

How about we keep the armor at the bottom of the tunnel? That way we would have warning if anything tries to come up. Those tools look very nice. Anyone mind if I keep them?
