In that case, I shall cast Light on something belonging to the frontmost party member.
Zamoros:
1) Maintains his bardic performance?
2) Moves neear the front of the party
3) Casts light on Flyndal
(Let's just say that Zamoros cast light on him? Otherwise he won't be able to see the enemy to try to hit it, and we have to retcon his action.)
As I understood it, that was the intent.

![]() |

As I understood it, that was the intent.
Yeah. But then he later posted that he cast light on his buckler.

Cëanel wishes the eagle to fly over and attack the orange fellow. As a matter of fact, if the eagle flies over the goblin and attacks on the other side, does it a) not risk an AoO from the goblin, as it's flying and b) count as flanking for Flyndal?
Also, GM, what's your ruling--do celestial template animals understand Celestial? There's nothing stating this in RAW, and I believe it doesn't raise their Intelligence. If they do, I can command it to Smite Evil and/or choose different enemies. Otherwise…it may just make a beeline (eagle line) for Orange Goblin and attack to the best of its ability.
Ah, and finally, who should roll for attack and damage for summons? :) Us wizards have so many questions…
Cëanel moves up the path and fires an arrow at the red goblin. He utters something in the ringing and lofty language of Celestial as the eagle flies towards the dark entrance.
I'm assuming there's light to see them due to a buckler or a sword. Moving 6 squares down the path.

Cëanel's arrow misses the goblin.
The celestrial eagle goes straight for the orange goblin, smiting it along the way. (I don't care who rolls for it. I will right now for expedience. Eagles, celestial or otherwise, lack the intelligence to understand commands beyond "attack" and the like.) Eagle: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19, Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

The goblins were proving wily, and Desh was growing frustrated.
”Think they’re scouts?” Desh growls as he dives forward, circling their quarry in an attempt to limit their retreating options. He rolls to a low crouch and stabs wildly at the mount under the southern goblin.
Okay, I’d like to try to get behind them (both for future flanking and to try to restrict their retreat options). And as soon as Desh takes his first step forward (which he’s going to do regardless of which of the following options I’ll present), he’ll notice whatever that “broken” spot is to the south of the Orange goblin on the map and act accordingly.
So the deciding factor in Desh’s direction of his movement is this: what is that area on the map just south of Orange? Is it difficult terrain/a pit/dropoff or is it just a cutesy map detail that has no mechanical/tactical impact.
If, however, that’s just a little cutesy drawing on the map that has no bearing on mobility and tactics, Desh will instead tumble south around the orange gobbo, thus: right > right > (tumble) right/down > (tumble) down … ending 10 feet south of the orange gobbo. At which point he’ll attack the orange gobbo’s mount.
The preference would be the southern route (to avoid granting cover on the attack), but if that spot on the map is difficult terrain, Desh will try to use it to his advantage to hem them in by tumbling north.
Acro to avoid AoO’s: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Zamoros fails to disarm the goblin. They're just too dexy. Nice move, though!

Desh avoids the AoO from the goblin dog. Since the goblin has a ranged weapon, he doesn't get an AoO.
Desh discovers one of the environmental effects here: The tower around the Spire is one big ruin, with debris strewn across the floors. This is difficult terrain. Somehow, the goblins seem unaffected.
Also, since Flyndal is now in the entrance, you can see that ANY light source, no matter how strong, illuminates only a 5-foot radius.
The spear hits the orange goblin. Despite the massive damage, it still stands. Though it also has tweety-birds flitting about his head in a circle.
Desh sees more of the layout with his darkvision. The door to room A3 is open.

The goblin dogs attack:

Flyndal takes 7 HP of damage and breaks into a rash. (–2 penalty to Dexterity and Charisma for 1 day)
Then the goblin dogs take a 5-foot-step south.
____________________________________________________________
The goblins drop their bows and use their horsechoppers (reach weapons).
Attack on Desh: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14, Miss!
Attack on Flyn: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11, Miss!, Orange loses 1 HP and falls unconscious
____________________________________________________________
Additional goblins come around the corner and shoot:
Shortbow on Desh: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22, Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Shortbow on Flyn: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16, Miss!
Shortbow on Desh: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22, Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Shortbow on Flyn: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8, Miss!
These goblins aren't as well-trained as the two commandos in the entrance.

Holy crap!
”KÄKEC!” Desh curses in orc as he turns—taking a pair of glancing blows—and stabs at the goblin dog who rushes out of the darkness.
"A bunch more over there!" he adds. Despite his words, he seems intent on taking down the remaining mounted goblin.
Desh should get an AoO on the goblin dog as it closes on him (reach).

Same thing as with Desh earlier. Two actions, depending on a ruling I'm not sure of. If Channel is blocked by line of sight, I'll step into what looks like rough terrain and channel, excluding the most badly-damaged enemies first (and hoping LoS will block Orange from recieving channel heals). If not, I'll burn Magic Weapon for a CLW on Flyndal. Here are said rolls.
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 5
OR
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Also, could we, perhaps, be a bit more clinical about this? If there's another pack of goblins in the darkness past those four, we're going to be in some trouble, and I'm spending all my actions either healing or trying to keep up. Plus, our wizard is way far behind.

I should be six squares closer--GM, can you place me just below the A1 mark? But I'm gonna double move now! yikes!
Agreed, let's not rush in there without a plan and better lighting.
Cursing at his missed arrows, Cëanel hustles up to just behind Kohinoor. "I thoroughly object to goblins," he says.

Yah, sorry about stumbling into the second group. I was tryinig to create a tactical advantage for Flyndal and myself as the front-liners. I didn’t anticipate a secondary bunch of gobbos so close at-hand. Actually, due to the fact that they were so close, I’m surprised they didn’t rush us immediately just due to the sounds of fighting. :/

The awesome thing to do would be let that AoO stand as his attack roll for the round, but however it goes down is fine, probably.
