Malik grins as the guards drink potions, but eyes the unconscious pathfinders with one eye. "You look tired after the shower. How about sitting down?"
He starts another elemental assault against Galvar, hoping to put him out of commission.

With half of his mind on the front door behind him, Kolris stays in place, striking at the newer guard that just arrived, taking advantage of Smiley's position opposite to try to sneak a strike past the guard's defenses.
For once I can't blame the venture captains. We made a mess of this one, and we're going to be lucky to get out of this alive.

His companion slides the yanks the bar out of the bracket and opens the door.

My brand new, never used wand is also on my belt. Standard protocol would be to point that out to people who can use it at the beginning of the adventure, but we may need to stay in initiative order.

I think the CLW wand users in the group are Nali and Kolris. At the present moment, Nali's goal is to get Zhatara moving, and hurry through the mission. She's unaware of Jacques's condition ATM.

Even with Smiley landing an AoO, Grey and White are out in the street - red would be out of actions for the round (two move actions)
The party knows that Jacques was last seen in melee with one of them which was being hard fought, and that only the warrior came back out with his mace covered in Jacques blood (and announced Jacques was dead). But what he DIDN'T know was that Jacques was only MOSTLY dead...
At this stage, yes, guards have escaped into the street, and there are already some people who were 'highly concerned' earlier when the door was opened and there was fighting visible inside
Red will beat the retreat behind his two friends, so it comes down to moving quickly now... continue to chase, or get clearing rapidly?

Kolris looks at Smiley and Malik with concern transparent on his face. "We can't chase, we don't have time. We need to quickly find Zefiro and get ourselves out of here. I'm not sure how we'll even get out, but that's a problem for after we find Zefiro."
He rushes up beside Smiley and helps the dwarf lock and bar the door again, then returns to the hall. Grateful to see Zhatara getting up, he starts calling out strategy. "Somebody should tie up these sleeping guards, and make sure there's nobody left in the break room. And... well, it might be cold, but make sure that any dead guards are really dead... one way or another. Where's Jacques? Can anybody heal him?" He rushes down the hall towards where Jacques was last seen, and finds the warrior unconscious.
Extract users aren't spellcasters; we don't get to use wands automatically. Kolris has UMD though, so will attempt to heal Jacques with Jacques' wand if nobody can heal him otherwise.

Jacques groans in pain and frustration as he levers himself to standing and picks up his bow.
"That last hit was a monster! Where did he get the arm strength?"
Looking at the mess in the hallway, he exclaims "We need to get out of here as quickly as possible. We should free all of the prisoners and leave some Aspis Conrtium symbols around to profess our "allegience"
Jacques will find the body of the guard who struck him down [ooc]He had the key[/b] and take the key to the back rooms. Taking that key, he will return to the gate and wait for the others to join him before unlocking the gate.

Only needed to stay in initiative if people were planning on chasing etc, but this is probably the more prudent direction :)
It only takes a minute, but Jacques is recovered and the keys are obtained.
Kolris finds that the downed guards are either poisoned into unconsciousness or rapidly racing towards Paharasmas waiting room as they bleed out on the flagstones. Of course this is with the exception of Thrick who you last saw running away from the fight at the very start in a fit of panic and locking himself in the latrines.
On the guards you know they had healing potions as you saw them used. There are around six potions of Cure Moderate Wounds laying about

Malik walks over to the the latrine. "I promise we're not going to hurt you Thrick. Just come outside. we're looking for speicifc prisoners, and need you to help locationg them." He knocks on the door and try to open it if it's not locked. "Unfortunately, some of the guards took a run for it and we're a bit pressed for time."

Kolris helps gather up the potions of cure moderate wounds, ensuring that one each gets handed out to everyone. An even six, that's nice. As the others begin trying to get Thrick out of the latrine, Kolris begins mixing up an extract that he hopes will be useful later.
Mixing an extract of disquise self. It takes 1 minute to mix. I'm hoping that parallels the time it takes to investigate Thrick.

With no response from the privy, Malik distances himself from the door, ready to break it down. "Nobody home, I suppose. Step back a bit. Wouldn't want splinters in your eye."
He makes a series of quick gestures as the vapour in the kitchen disappears, and hurls a signifficant amount of elemental mass towards the door in an attempt to break it down.
