Harrow, which of the two creature's are you targeting with your attacks?
GM, can Glen observe whether or not the attacks are damaging the bipedal creature?

There was a huge Verizon outage on the same day that suspended service for tens of millions of Americans. I thought I was one of those, so I didn't call the company to report it. I became suspicious when I found out my neighbors all had service. Turns out it was a coincidence and a power outage had caused a power spike in my Verizon box. Fixed in about ten minutes once they arrived at the house.

Glen is mindful of the need to speak to the priests and to the garrison, and ultimately, make the evacuation a success.
He wants to do all the investigating possible but only if it doesn't jeopardize the success of those higher priority tasks.

Are there any visuals to accompany this encounter? Map of the lake's shoreline? Or is it all theater of the mind?

![]() |

Yes. At the time I posted that question, I wasn't yet able to see the new map.

Glen Fiddich 67083-5 Liberty's Edge

Glen's not clear on the time still available to the team. This task sounds like the last thing we'll do before the feces hits the proverbial fan.
He'd still like to visit the priests, if there's time to do both.
At least that's what I was trying to convey in my post in the Gameplay thread.

Per my previous post, the wording of the adventure is weird. You already chatted with the priests (and many others) during your previous days' work. The skill checks that the party rolled are abstracted goals. They're not single actions that take 6 seconds or less; they're larger tasks that have taken hours to complete.
If you had some specific RP that you wanted to engage in, I'm more than happy to take a moment to role-play such an encounter. :)
There is less than a day remaining to ambush the clockwork army.

Sorry for the confusion - and for forgetting about that encounter with the priests.
Larry's Lesson-Learned: Don't post following general anesthesia. (Had some minor surgery yesterday.)

No worries! :) It's all good. I try to accept all written communication in the best light possible because none of us are professional writers. I know you were only confused, and I know that I had a tough time with that particular part of the adventure. :D

I'll be traveling today through Sunday, with limited posting availability. Please bot me, as necessary.

Wow, rolled a 1, 3, and 9! Stinky dice!

Lots to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Wishing everyone a blessed day with great friends and loving family.
Go Bears!

Mareq is boring me without Husarq to play off of. Summon monster. Turn invisible. Rinse. Repeat. Husarq's return coincides with he and Mareq hitting 10th level. Husarq now has the Large evolution, so he's the proper size for an efreeti. And he can fly, like an efreeti. AND, Mareq is going to pick up Lesser Planar Binding, so he can negotiate with the janni, Hakim-Sharif, for support.
Oddly, the Large evolution didn't bump his fighting effectiveness all that much. Yes, +8 strength. But... eidolons aren't really optimized for bipedal, intelligent, extraplanar, weapon-wielders. They're really great at emulating pets/dragons/natural attackers, etc. For instance, if Husarq strikes with his claws, he doubles his damage, compared to his flaming sword. And he never gets iterative attacks. Only multiattacks with natural weapons. <sigh>
PFS play really kills my ability to be a genie-summoner. Only way is the Summon Genie spells, which haven't been added to any Chronicles, as I understand. Or Planar Binding. Which I only get at 13th level. <sigh>
Husarq is going to take center stage. He's got more flavor.

Chronicle looks good. Thanks!

I appreciated the opportunity to join you all for this scenario. Is your regular crew back together now?
If you'd like to have me stick around for another round of adventuring, I've got a broad range of PCs at most levels of play. As far as potential future scenarios or modules go, I prefer roleplay-heavy scenarios over dungeon crawls.

Mareq, even though it distresses Berosius, I like the interplay between Mareq and Husarq. I think that combat efficiency is less important than having fun with your roleplaying.
Glen, we're glad to have you!
GME, I'm certainly happy to do some more scenarios. There are plenty of Season 9 and 10 adventures I haven't run.

Husarq |

Sign me up! Very excited to continue adventuring.
Do we want a pfs scenario or a mod? Ideas?

Husarq |

Glen, you're very welcome to continue adventuring with us. :)
Is there any interest in #10-17: On Sevenfingers's Sails? Y'all have done the previous Sevenfingers scenarios. It might be a nice finale.
That sounds good!

GM Engleaktig wrote:Does Sevenfinger's Sails work for everyone else?I've done that one :)
Would you like to either GM or replay it? This is a really good group; I'd love to keep y'all together.
If you'd prefer to replay, please know that I got a boon 2 years ago from PaizoCon--I can give you a replay off of that. (So you don't use your personal bank of replays.)

Is there a link to a list of scenarios that deal with Sevenfingers and Gloomspire?
I recall my level-8 elf evoker Oberon della Strega has done at least a couple of them.
I don't have to play that PC, if he'd be a poor fit with the team.

There are 4 such adventures. In order by level (from lowest level to highest):
Hall of the Flesh Eaters
The Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts
Hrethnar's Throne
On Sevenfingers's Sails

Thanks. Yes, Oberon participated in all three previous missions. I'd really like to play him, if no one objects.

![]() |

Looking forward to it! Will we use this Campaign's threads, or will you create a new one?

I'll run Sevenfinger's Sails for GME and you guys if after Christmas is OK?
Thanks! You're the best, Qstor! :)
__________
I have a couple of characters possible for this adventure:
(1) A tiefling alchemist who loves everyone and weeps at the drop of a hat. He has a super-low charisma, so I role-play him as somewhat unaware about personal hygiene. Content warning, physically gross.
(2) A dwarf who loves elves. (Not gross. Just kind of obsessed, like the "crazy cat lady" sterotype of ailurophiles--only about elves, not cats.) He wears butterfly wings and worships Desna. Content warning, somewhat elitist and dismissive.
I might have others, but these are my top 2. I think Harrow has played with them both under an alter-ego.

![]() |

I've got a dwarf Conal Angus McKieg, a warpriest of the elven goddess of magic, Yuelral the Wise.
He's passionate about all things elven, especially the ladies and their charms.

I haven't played with those guys in a long time, GME! I LOVE both of those--I totally remember them both!!!
