Hey all,
Summer continues to be way too busy with a couple of jam-packed work days before another trip through next weekend.
The bad news is I'll be out pretty much through next Tuesday. The good news is this should be the last break of summer!

Wishing you luck, or at least enough PP to bring your soul back home.

It was amazing. We had the choice of “soldier” mode or “Champion” mode. Since it’s the end of First Edition we all treated it like we were in a Rogue One style suicide mission and didn’t plan on walking back out, but honestly I began to think we might make it for awhile.
The Pathfinder Specials over the last few years have been muddled and disappointing, but this was a bright-line slugfest against waves of undead and constructs. My teammates were doing horrific damage and Berosius was in full in heal mode, bringing someone (or everyone) back from the brink every other round or so. I had to use ranged Breath of Life four times. By the way, good call on the runestone, Kelson , because I used every third-level spell I had.
I’m not saying I always want a slugfest, because that’d become boring. But it did have the effect of solving the problems of recent Specials, which were just repetitive lists of “you can roll one of these three skills to beat this encounter.”
Anyway, in the end we couldn’t hold it together. With Berosius, our front-line fighter and our witch dead, the remaining three characters decided to grab our bodies and retreat.
I do wonder whether we would have been better off with my 10th level magus dishing out damage as opposed to my 10th level oracle healing damage, but I think I made the right choice. Anyway, those five hours passed very rapidly and it was a lot of fun. Full Gen Con report to follow.

Okay, I signed up too!
I have only recently purchased the rules, but will try to get a character ready. Starts August 26, then?

Scenario support from Paizo dropped late. GMs need time to prep.

Here's the notice I received from one of the online venture-officers:
Hey Everyone,
I have some unfortunate news. I regret to inform you all that we will have to postpone Gameday VIII by 2 weeks.
This would place our new dates for Gameday at: 09 Sept 2019 - 17 Nov 2019
WHAT IS GOING ON? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
As most of you are aware, the majority of the GM’s have not received their scenario support for the Convention to include a good portion of the Specials. With Tonya occupied by other duties this weekend, we realized as a team that we are very unlikely to see the remainder of scenario support drop by Monday the 26th. Multiple avenues were discussed and what seems to be the best solution is to push Gameday back by two weeks. This will allow enough time for the GM’s to receive their scenarios and prep them.
BUT WHAT IF WE ALREADY HAVE OUR SCENARIOS, CAN WE START THEM?
Please hold off until the new start date to be able to eligible for your boon rewards. I understand this is a large inconvenience, we are doing everything we can to make this work. Part of that is to have everyone one the same start / end times rather than scattered.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause, but we want all our GMs to have a chance to shine.
HOW DO I NOTIFY MY PLAYERS?
Go ahead and post the news to your tables. Feel free to copy this email if you wish. We will be posting notices in all the PBP lodges as well as the Gameday VIII Announcement page.
I know this is not what we hoped to do, and I’m sorry. Thank you for understanding that we’re scrambling to fix this.
If you have any other questions please don’t be afraid to ask.

Happy anniversary, Qstor!
Jackie and I will celebrate our 36th next month. It's been, and still is, an amazing, wild ride.
That sounded kind of naughty... and true.

Sorry guys, I think I won't be able to start this for a couple of days. I'll try to check in on Friday.

It's been a fairly awful week at work. I haven't been home before 10:00 or seen my kids awake in the evening in days.
It's short term, though and I'll be back at it soon. Thanks for your patience.

Thank you for bearing with me. I'm leaving tomorrow for a legal conference out of state and won't be back until Sunday. I'll have no Internet access. So I'll just see you on Sunday.
Cheers!

Wow, a legal conference without internet connectivity. Is the subject the Talmud?

Hello, team! I'm traveling to Europe for work, Sep 23-30. HQ has great internet access, so no worries about the daily (or more!) post. But I'll be posting at GMT +1 (Paris). If necessary, please bot me.

Round 2
__________The bipedal clockwork strikes:
Attack v Glen: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 30, Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Attack v Glen: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35, Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
What sort of attack was it? Glen's defending bone, DR5/bludgeoning, might have absorbed some of the damage.

Nice! You gain the DR benefit of the defending bone; these were slam attacks.

I think most slam attacks are bludgeoning, so he probably takes the full damage.
