Amiri, Kinslayer |

We're not leaving the ointment... just no decision was immediately made on who would use it =)
Amiri is in a foul mood.
It has only gotten worse as they make their way up the mountain and find themselves assaulted by strange visions and unexplained phenomena. Neither are things she can beat on with her sword.
When the Doctor falls to the ground, she instantly goes on guard, looking for a physical threat she can take her annoyances out upon.
"Now what?!" She growls.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
"Is he alright?" She calls back to whoever is checking on Quolorum.

Mavaro, Collector of Esoterics |

Sorry about not posting. Mavaro also paints the symbol and will take the ointment since no one else did

Mavaro, Collector of Esoterics |

Mavaro shivers slightly as he hears voices. He keeps his sword drawn in-hand. There are many spirits and occult beings around here. Although he is a little nervous, he smiles to himself what artifacts and relics will we find here?
--
As the professor falls to the ground, Mavaro looks around anxiously, then leans over the professor, "are you alright, sir?"

Amiri can't see anything rare. In front of her is a clean path.
After some seconds Dr. Quolorum stares to Mavaro. "Thanks, Mavaro. I am alright. I don't know what happened. I saw a woman, I coulnd't see her face, but she told me "Stop!, what are you doing here?"" Dr. Quolorum stands up with Erasmus help. "We should keep going."
Right now, Rivani can't determine whats going on. She knows something is playing with your minds, but not sure what or from where it comes.
After few minutes walking, a fifty-foot-wide crevasse separates one side from the other, and the only crossing is over a massive boulder that has broken off the mountainside to the east and become stuck as it rolled down. The trail continues on the other side.

Amiri, Kinslayer |

Amiri frowns at the boulder that appears to be their only way across the chasm.
"Not a good place to be assaulted by mental demons." She mutters.
She will approach the 'bridge' to try to determine if its safe to cross and see how far down it is if someone were to fall.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Adowynn |

Adowyn looks with suspicion at the boulder. "Well that looks like it's been used before since the trail continues on the opposite side, but I don't have a great feeling about using it."

gfvelastegui |

I assume you all are going to cross it.
Using the boulder as a bridge is not terribly difficult. However, if you fail, Amiri calculates you will fall 30 feet approximately.
Please, everyone 2 climb checks + 1 will save. Take 10 is not allowed. I will let you know what happens.
Dr. Quolorum starts to cross the boulder "This is the right way we must cross to the other side.", at the other side of the boulder you recognize a woman. She is calling you. Asking for help.

Amiri, Kinslayer |

Amiri frowns at the bridge, but deems it crossable.
The sight of the woman calling for help however, causes her to pause.
Recognize from where?
"What trickery is that?" She exclaims.
Will assume its just another hallucination, like everything else up here!
She eventually pulls out a rope and tosses one end to Mavaro.
"I'll go first." She says. "Then can tie folks off, and cross after." She glances again down the ravine. "Doesn't look like too hard a climb, but to be safe."
Will assume we can use a rope to help prevent anyone falling ... if Amiri can get across I suppose =)
Can I just take a 10 on the climb check? If so, will do that instead of rolling! And does Quolorum's Etheric Compass apply to this will save?
Climb: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 (or 15 if I can take a 10)
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 (+2 for the Etheric Compass?)
Climb: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 (or 15 if I can take a 10)

Harold Wainright |

Gulping, Erasmus carefully attempts to traverse the boulder.
Climb: 1d20 + 0 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 0 + (6) = 12.
EDIT: Retroactively using 'Spirit Surge' to add 1d6 to the roll, since I assume that a 6 failed :-/
Climb: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15.
Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6.

Adowynn |

Adowyn wraps the rope around her waist and ties it off, just in case, then crosses carefully, glad to be on solid ground on the other side.
climb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
climb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Something obviously bothers her though... I'm assuming that save fails, lol

gfvelastegui |

Amiri, Erasmus, Adowyn and Rivani are confused. When they start to cross the boulder they feel and see how the boulder itself seems to melt and flow as if it were made of thick mud.
Somehow Amiri, Erasmus and Adowyn crossed the boulder. Kyra didn't see the rock melt, but she couldn´t cross. She stays at the other side.
Rivani falls 30 feet before landing on a stone ledge. Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) = 5 You are so lucky.
I will wait for Mavaro, kyra and Rivani to pass it.
You don't know how, but Dr. Quolorum is at the same side as Amiri, Erasmus and Adowyn.

Mavaro, Collector of Esoterics |

I don't understand why we can't take 10? Are we under some kind of secret duress? otherwise we *should* be able to take 10
will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 +2 if this is an emotional effect
climb, untrained: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
climb, untrained: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
trying again; although the climb rolls are moot if Mavaro can take 10 after beating the will save
climb, untrained: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
climb, untrained: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

gfvelastegui |

In the second opportunity, Kyra crosses the boulder. Mavaro tries and the first time stops at the half way, but then he crosses with no problems. Rivani needs to cross and climb. Rivani still believes that the rock is melting. Rivani, you just need 2 climb checks to cross an the other guys can help you with a rope. Does someone have a rope?

Harold Wainright |

Since everyone else is across, can't we just toss the rope to Rivani, get her to tie the end around herself, and then haul her across, thus avoiding the need for any further climb checks?
I am just trying to help expedite things :-)

gfvelastegui |

Done. Rivani is with the rest of the group. You all have crossed the boulder.
Dr. Quolorum "Well, we all are safe for now. We should be close. Let's go."
After 3 hours walking, you all see a cave like 100 feet from you, as you come closer to the entrance you begin to hear nonsensical chatter. Questions such as “How do rainbows swim?” or “What is the noise light makes?” and comments such as “Now I contain!” and “Ease the frame...” are a few examples.
Upon entering the narrow cave entrance in the side of the mountain, green luminescence shines from fungi on the walls of this cave, while the winds outside create an animal-like howl as they whip past the entrance. A narrow path runs along the northern edge, and a deep chasm slick with moisture splits it from another ledge to its south. To the east is a bridge, fuzzy with dark green mold.
A new map is coming.

Amiri, Kinslayer |

Oh... heh... thought there was more descriptive stuff coming. =)
Amiri nods, as the way ahead lights up some. Once the others are ready to follow, she makes her way in, taking a moment to glance over the edge of the chasm to see what lay below, before continuing along the ledge.
Ok, moving in then! Looking down the pit (cause that proved such a great idea in the monolith section) then will continue along the ledge towards the bridge. Staying within the range of the light spell.
GM, you can mark how far I get if something interrupts us

Adowynn |

Following along with the others... moving along the ledge carefully, wondering how bad the next bridge is going to be, since it looks to be covered in fungus. Adowyn will keep an eye on Rivani once the party arrives at the bridge, since she seemed to have so much trouble with the last one.
"Perhaps we should use rope from the get go on this one?"

Mavaro, Collector of Esoterics |

Mavaro moves along with Amiri, sword held ready for whatever may spring next.

First turn
This turn Adowyn and Erasmus see a confusing collage of images gleaned from their thoughts. They take a –2 penalty on attack rolls.
Erasmus is your turn.

gfvelastegui |

The plant moves 5 feet closer to Kyra and attacks to her.
Tendril 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9Damage 1: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Tendril 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21Damage 2: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2Pull 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
The plant attacks with both tendrils. The first attack fails. The second one hits and deals 2 damages. It tries to pull into the chasm, and it does it.
The pile of debris softens the fall of Kyra. She falls 20 feet.
Damage pit: 2d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 3) - 2 = 5
Kyra total damage 7 HP.
You all act now. I will determine your actions in order.

Harold Wainright |

"Well, damn! This thing, whatever it is, has impressive reach!"
Erasmus then moves forward, and throws the vial.
Herbicide: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 2 = 6, for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 damage, and 1 negative level.
GM star re-roll (Ranged Touch): 1d20 + 4 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 5 - 2 = 19, for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 damage, and 1 negative level.
