The human Aspis with the green sweater carefully moves around to avoid the swirling fog and keeping the pillar between him and Ulfgar avoids an "accidental" swing from the dwarf
and then tries to stick his sword into Buri's back

The human Aspis with the red shorts takes a step closer to Ulfgar and tries to take advantage of the fact that Ulfgar overextended as he ran forward

Velinov takes a moment to study the fog the villains seem so concerned about and what the magical implements could be intended for. Will breaking the circle disrupt the ritual/summoning/prison?

Velinov is able to determine that breaking the circle will not disrupt anything at this point..but he is very convinced that being inside the cirlce right now would be very, very bad for the person inside.
Feel free to move if you want..I guess you'd want to be next to one of the Skylances
Kajar moves to assist Ulfgar with the Aspis agent in the red short pants. But his assistance provides a distraction at best.
The Half-orc Aspis agent grins a toothy smile and raises his greataxe and tries to decapitate Buri

Carefully skirting the magic circle, Kajar moves towards the half-orc, flanking with Buri.

Ulfgar carefully avoids the circle and walks around it to swing his axe at the last standing Aspis Agent.
Just to be clear, even though there are magic circles only the south one actually has swirling magical fog inside it ...you could most likely possibly walk through the other one unharmed.....maybe
But his swing goes wide as he is carefully counting his steps to avoid possibly ending up on a different plane..or summoning a lemon (don't you just realy dislike spelling errors on scrolls?)
The Aspis agent in return tries to hit Myrayah after taking a step away from the rest of you

"Surrender wasn't his intent."
Kajar coughs up some blood.
"I might need some healing, but get HIM first!" Kajar shouts, pointing towards the Aspis agent in the green sweater.
The half-orc then dashes towards the other skylance, avoiding the smoking circle and the Aspis agent. He draws his crossbow once he reaches the skylance.

Maybe I should have asked if the other agent was dead-dead, not just dying and a power attack might not have been needed..
"There's no kill like overkill"

Kajar dashes towards the other skylance, avoiding the smoking circle and the Aspis agent. He draws his crossbow once he reaches the skylance.
Buri makes sure the half-orc never gets back up again
Ulfgar walks up behind the remaining aspis agent and takes him out of the fight.
Out of combat for the next 3 rounds (at your tier) before other stuff starts to happen..since you only have a few rounds I'm not going to list all equipment the Aspis had with them since it will take about a round to loot any of them, and 1 round or longer to identify what it could be..and you also need to heal a bit..so please state what you want to do for the next 3 rounds
You notice that what ever is inside the glowing fog in the magic circle is striking at it's confines from with in..trying to get out.
Also I think that today is the last day we have for the special..just so you know

As Ulfgar dislodges his axe from the Aspis agent thigh, he calms down and immediately an exhaustion comes over him. He grips his axe more closely and stabilizes himself, putting the shaft of the axe on the ground and leaning on it for support.
"So, Velinov," * kuch, kuch* "you think you can close this magic circle, or somehow make it stop?"
As he says that, he takes a careful step back. You can never be too sure about these things.

![]() |

Does Velinov know if the circle was to summon or to imprison the black fog? Is there a way to activate the skylances to point at the circle/creature in the circle?
Velinov remains expressionless as he ponders the scene before him.
"Ulfgar, take a look at the skylance over there to see if you can aim it at the circle. Buri, can you see to the injured with Myrayah's wand(I think it was hers?)? I have a bad feeling about this and I don't think the circle is going to hold much longer. I'm hoping we can bring enough firepower from the skylances to simultaneously hit whatever comes out of this."
It looks like we can all activate the skylance 1/day for 2d6. 5 x 2d6 in a round may be our best opener.

As you can see the special is over, but to give you a summary of what else was going to happen;
The half-orc was carrying the Skykey, which has a side effect of random teleporting the person who carries it when you fail a save vs a spell
The Aspis also carried a few potions, including cure light potions.
After 3 rounds the magic circle would start to break and (at your tier) small lightning elementals would break out and attack
If you make it past that wave, the thing inside the circle - a protean worm - breaks out and attacks as well.
