[PFS/PbP Gameday 3] The Hellknight's Feast (Inactive)

On her way in, Elena notices a flicker of light down south in the garden, near the gazebo.

The gazebo is the red circle on the map, area 13

Elena notifies the other about her discovery and then joins them to find out what the source of the flicker of light is.

"A flicker of light? Could it have been a spell that was cast? Let's go check it out!"

Wasting no time moving through the garden, the adventurers stumble upon the part of the garden with the gazebo. Inside, two shapes seem to have a silent argument, one a humanoid tiger, the other a female. Behind them, a human in noble attire stands looking on: it's the servant of Dyrianna, Faelyn. He seems to be utterly mesmerised by the woman.

As the party approaches, a demon - which Alfair immediately recognises as an Alu-Demon - emerges from the bushes. When this happens, the woman in the gazebo shifts her form, and turns into the terrifying form of a succubus, a bat-winged demon from the abyss.

Asmodan will then proceed to cast Protection from evil on Heroine

Then walking forward and ordering her to attack the alu-demon.

Alafair casts her Communal Protection from Evil from her scroll, excluding the big kitty, which is already covered.

The scroll is CL 3 which lasts 3 minutes divided by the number of touched individuals. That would be 6 or thirty seconds apiece. 30 seconds is 5 rounds, I believe. Those under the effect get +2 to AC and +2 resistance bonus on saves vs evil. Also, subject recieves immediate second saving throw with +2 bonus on attempts at mental control like charm and compulsion. Last, the spell prevents bodily contact from evil summoned creatures, which causes natural or touch attacks to fail, until the evil summoned creature is attacked by the target.

The succubus flies up and behind the gazebo, taking cover. From behind there, she speaks to Thekk You're such a good-looking dwarf. Why don't you move over here, so I can see you better?

The Rakshasa takes cover behind the gazebo as well, while the Alu-fiend flies up and says A mighty warrior like wouldn't take up a weapon against women, would he?

Its the Aasimar favored class bonus that gives me +1 oracle level for one revelation = Primal Companion (Lunar). There was a dev post a while ago that said the FCB could only get to class level + 1, cant find it atm will post later. At lvl 7 Heroine gets large size etc.

Elena then starts her judgement (purity for a +2 profane bonus to saving throws) as a swift action before casting a guidance on Thekk.

Do the boys get the +2 bonus and re-save from Protection from Evil against Charm and compulsion as noted above when the spell from Alafair goes off? IF they succeed it suppress the effect for the duration of the PfE spell (5 rounds)

Alafair hurries to read the Protection scroll, knowing that the enemy in front of them is going to be quite a handful.

Thekk resists the urge to move out in the open. Asmodan casts protection from evil on heroine, who moves up, but finds the alu-demon out of reach.

I'll refund a standard action

Elena earns the wrath of the rakshasa by calling him rat-faced, as she casts a spell of Thekk.

Before Ruprecht sets off, Alafair manages to cast a communal protection spell, shielding everybody from the evil lurking in the garden.

Ruprecht then move up, and throws his acid bomb at the Rakshasa, scoring a direct hit.

Asmodan commands Heroine to guard Ruprecht from and melee attackers. She will move up to him.

Shadow directs apples around the hedges and lines up with the cat like demon. He lowers his cold iron lance at the demon.

Heroine moves next to Ruprecht, offering some significant protection. Shadow Lion is the next to move up, lance at the ready.

The rakshasa is the enemy that isn't a demon...

"Never thought I'd blow off all these fireworks in one mission..but here goes!" Reaching into his efficient quiver, Thekk grabs his evil outsider bane bolts and fires them at the succubus in rapid succession.

The Succubus screams in agony, while the Alu-Demon flies over heroine, to land behind Ruprecht, drawing her longsword in the process. Once behind her, she takes a swing at the alchemist

Lightning-quick, the Rakshaha then runs out of the gazebo, and snaps at Ruprecht, only to miss and retreat as quickly

Elena will move forward and indicate for Shadowlion to wait a second for now Asking for him to delay until after meand holds up her symbol of Dispater sending a wave of negative energy out all around her

Asmodan uses one beast bond brand charge to cast divine favor
on Heroine from a distance, giving her +2 to attack & damage. After this he will move around, grabbing his morning star and buckler, trying to get a better view of the man-servant.

Heroine will perform her guard duty, attacking the Alu-demon:

Though the spring attack of the Rakshasa is too fast for Ruprecht to react, heroine has not trouble snapping at the outsider as he moves by. Her jaws rip through the off-planar creature, and she only barely fails to grab a hold of him.

Elena channels negative energy, affecting the daughter of Samivashti, who seems to be affected quite badly by the effect.

Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Heroine, in turn, moves around Ruprecht and snaps at the Alu-demon, only barely missing the winged woman.

The alchemist pulls his magical spear and pokes at the flying demon.

Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Spurring Apples into action Shadow charges the Rakshaha.

Storming into the courtyard, Alafair casts Magic Missile at the Alu-Demon, sending a trio of force bolts against her.

Thekk looses two cold iron bolts at the succubus.

Missiles, of both magical and mundane nature fly around: Alafair's hit the Alu-demon, while Thekk manage to land a bolt in the wing joint of the succubus, causing a shriek from the Abyssal creature.

The Rakshasa springs another attack on Ruprecht, and manages a sneaky stab...

Asmodan bestows a curse on the demon, who is cold to the touch.

Heroine then pounces on the alu-demon, grabs the winged monstrosity in his jaw, but fails to rip it open with her claws.

Ruprecht keeps trying to drive his spear into the nearby demon.

The adventurers are slowly gaining the upper hand, as Ruprecht drives his spear into the side of the grappled demon, and Shadow Lion charges the Rakshasa, impaling the outsider on his spear and leaving him dead on the ground

Elena moves back to where most of the party is (strength in numbers) and will cast a guidance on Thekk (+1 on a D20 roll of your choice within the next minute)

Curious if these extraplanar creatures were summoned or not, as the PfE spell wouldn't allow any that were (and were evil) from using their natural attacks on the group at this point. I am guessing the text is silent on that point, but one wonders how they gathered in this house otherwise.

Alafair lets rip with another series of Magic Missiles, concentrating her fire on the Alu-Demon until she goes down for good. If that happens, she will aim any remaining missiles at the Succubus boss lady.

Well, that max damage is just too bad isn't it...

I count them as summoned (because they're not from this plane). Attacking the creatures breaks the protection barrier, that's why I'm keeping track with the strange symbols

The scream of agony from the alu-demon is blood-chilling, as missile after missile slam into the demon.

High is good (for Succubus): 1d100 ⇒ 61

The succubus screams My daughter! I will get you for this! I will be back for you!, then vanishes into thin air. She teleported away.

Combat over!

Faelyn snaps from his entranced state, and confusedly utters Why am I here? Where is Lady Dyrianna?

Just a note with season 5 scenarios. If the demons came from the world wound they do not count as being summoned as they stepped into this plane on their own. One of the many reasons the world wound is horrible.

Return to the manor to report, Lady Dyrianna is grateful for the rescue of Faelyn. Even though the slight of a demon attack in a Blakros manor is hard to overlook, the dinner can be called a success: with the help of the Pathfinders, the Society has managed to influence several high-ups in Absalom politics. The aid of Lady Darchana, Dremhet Salhar, Lord Rothos, Lord Kermis and Lady Daryanna will be a great boon in rallying against the demonic threat in the worldwound.
