Dioneo displays an expression of disgust on his face.
"Ugh, no thanks!"

GM Hmm |

You push open the door, and a rush of water flows out from the room into your hallway.
A thin waterfall drops from a grate in the ceiling fifteen feet above, creating a curtain in the doorway to this flooded room. Beyond, mounted animal heads glower from virtually every inch of every wall. Stuffed specimens also lurk beneath the dark water, their antlers, horns, and claws breaking the surface here and there. In the eastern corner, a large gilded cage sits mostly submerged, its waters thick with embalmed birds bobbing at the surface.
Perception, Archon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Perception, Wadi: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
As you push through the waterfall, you notice a diminutive gaunt fairy with tattered ears, black eyes, and a huge mouth filled with interesting mismatched teeth. She carries an oversized pair of pliers. She sits perched on top of a stuffed gorgon's head, mounted near the ceiling.
Two even smaller fairies, pliers in hand, hover near the cage and turn towards you.

Init, Lady Gourmandelle: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Init, Daughters: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
The daughters fly high over your heads, then descend towards the very handsome Dioneo, liking the look of his pearly teeth.

Damage: 1d4 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
One daughter misses. The other manages to get her pliers into Dioneo's mouth, but fails to extract any of his teeth.
There are no shelves here, but those who wish to be above the water can attempt to scale the mounted heads with a climb check.

Not sure if my water walk is still active - it was 10 mins from the central room, timing feels a bit hazy sorry. It won't affect my turn but may for Dioneo, Oloch, or Wadi. (I'm kinda doubtful it still is but thought I'd at least check)
Jan's going to pop a wand out of his wrist sheathe activate it Shield of Faith and move forward to where he may be able to protect the guy or threaten him as needed, as well as threaten the other Fairy.
Not sure what might come into play here, so I'll leave two attacks and two bodyguards, feel free to use them if they come up to a max of two.

GM Hmm |

Archon: It's not an aid for Knowledge Planes, but I think you guys can still handle the toothsome family!
Jan: Yes, you're all back in the water.
_____________________________
To recap:
Wadi and Archon figure out that you have an infestation of tooth fairies.
Jan casts shield of faith. Wadi casts shield, and tells everyone there's a drowning man in the cage. Archon delays, but tells everyone to look out for crocodiles. Sutekh attempts to open the lock on the cage of the drowning man, and fails...
The guy is still thrashing around in there, trying to get air in his mostly submerged bird cage. Sutekh and Jan... Now that you can see him, the guy in the cage looks like Virml, the intern you all met in the initial briefing. Except wetter and with less teeth.
Oloch, Archon and Dioneo are up!

![]() |

I'll put the cloak back on and take a swim towards the drowning man.

![]() |

Tooth Fairies? - they are soooooooo cool. I want one.
"Crocodiles below, and evil fairies above?" - Oloch roars - "This is a nice welcome if I ever saw one!"
Cannot access the google doc right now - will move to the closest fairy and attack.
Greatsword PA: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Archon swims towards the drowning man. Oloch swings mightily at a tooth fairy and misses.

Daughters, Oloch, Sutekh, Archon, Jan, Wadi, Dioneo, Lady Gourmandelle, Serket
Dioneo is up.

![]() |

Sorry, I couldn't connect myself yesterday.
Dioneo steps back, rubbing his cheeks, in astonishment.
Knowledge (Planes): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
"What the Inferno? What are these creatures?"
He bursts flames nevertheless from his palms.
Burning hands, Ref DC 17 halves: 5d4 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 3, 2) = 13

GM Hmm |

Dioneo crisps the two tooth fairy daughters and...
Even if they’d made the save, six hit points would have killed them...
...they explode into a cloud of sparkling white fairy dust that clings to everything in the radius of the blue circle. The stench of the sparkles smells like a combination of tooth decay, gum disease and halitosis.
Fort Save, Archon: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Fort Save, Oloch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Fort Save, Serket: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Sickened Rounds?: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Fort Save, Wadi: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Fortunately, everybody but the scorpion has a strong stomach. Poor Serket is sickened for three rounds.
Meanwhile, Lady Gourmandelle casts Charm Person on Sutekh. ”He’s drowning anyway,” she says in Sylvan. ”No great loss, really. Why don’t you stop fiddling with those thieves tools, and come help me instead? I’m ever so much more charming.”
Will Save, Sutekh: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Her charm bounces straight off Sutekh, who is concentrating so hard on the lock that he barely notices her little speech.

The whole party is up!

Removing the Cloak once more, and returning to my normal self, I'll thrust it into the cage, saying "Put this on, now. It will keep you from drowning."

Wadi eyes the fairy carefully. Too bad she is rather attractive...for a fairy. Seeing she is in melee combat with Oloch he elects to wait before targeting her with a spell.
Round 2:

Archon hands the cloak to the toothless man who just barely manages to get it on his shoulders, and he turns into a manta ray.
Wadi waits for a clear shot to strike at Lady Gourmandelle.
Jan, you can't reach Lady Gourmandelle unless you climb. If you want to reach her, you could try scaling the mounted heads. They look like they might hold your weight.
What could possibly go wrong?

![]() |

Ahh I misunderstood, sorry. So instead
Jan will call on luck from Desna, drop the wand (to come back for later), and try and climb up some heads.

GM Hmm |

Jan is climbing up the wall.
Oloch, Sutekh and Dioneo are up!

Dioneo laughs as he sees the fairy crisp after his flames.
"Tough, heh?"
He turns towards the "Lady" and smiles charmingly.
"See these beautifuuuuuuuull teeth? I know you envy them! How about however we just settle down and discuss a little bit? Did you the crocodile with these beautiful teeth of yours? They sure are lovely!"
Diplomacy (casting enhanced diplomacy): 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 11 + 2 = 23

Oloch growls and looks around for an opportunity to get up at the fairy, but then he heard Dioneo's words. He was a smooth talker but the half orc did not believe words would solve this one.
Putting the sword away, he follows after Jan with a sound "Hrumpf"

GM Hmm |

Dioneo speaks charmingly to the fairy. Oloch joins Jan in climbing the wall.

GM Hmm |

Sutekh's clever fingers rescue the man in manta ray form from his cage. Serket attempts to climb and sting, but in his sickened state just falls back in the water.
Lady Gourmandelle, seeing the two warpriests climbing towards her, begins singing a captivating song.
"Tears fill these waters
I've lost my fair daughters
So alone, so far from home,
Oh won't you love me
And comfort me in my grief?
Oh won't you love me
I just want your teeth..."

Will, Wadi: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Will, Manta Ray: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
The voice is clear and sweet, making everyone but Archon fall under her spell.
Archon, your head is clear. You watch the man you just rescued throw off his cloak, sputter, cough, and then start to shakily climb. Then you see your party members follow suit.
Everyone else, all thought of fighting is now gone while she's singing. You just want to climb the mounted heads and gaze longingly at the face of your beloved... I'll take climb checks from all of you.
ORDER:
Lady Gourmandelle, Serket, Oloch, Sutekh, Archon (Free), Jan, Wadi, Dioneo
The whole party is up... literally up!

![]() |

Wadi completely en-spelled by the enchanting song forgets about his own spell and moves into the room and begins to climb up the heads...

I have a Reach Weapon, so unsure if I need a climb check, but just in case, Climb: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Seeing he is getting no where close to her with his dagger, a more optimal weapon, I'll raise my spear high and try to poke at the wee fey over everyone's shoulders.
Longspear: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 and probably 0 damage, or 1 nonlethal. . . :(

GM Hmm |

Jan, eager to climb to his beloved, doesn't watch where he's going, he just slips and falls back into the water.
Falling Damage into Water: 1d6 - 3 ⇒ (4) - 3 = 1
He takes some damage from hitting one of the stuffed birds still floating in the water. Lady Gourmandelle giggles as he falls but keeps singing. Oloch makes no progress, and Wadi catches up to him.
Archon hits Lady Gourmandelle squarely... and does no damage.

![]() |

I'll have Bot Buddy roll climb for Serket and Sutekh, but let's go with this... Archon, you have a Celestial Frog that you just summoned. What are you going to do with it?

LAST ROUND

Sutekh climbs. Serket is too nauseated to do so.
THIS ROUND

"Turn my daughters to a crisp?
Without teeth, this boy will lisp!"

GM Hmm |

Okay, then!
Everyone, your beloved is being dragged away, and you're compelled to follow. I give you a choice of one of the three...
1) Climb down
2) Make a swim check to dive
3) Leap off with acrobatics
4) Describe some other way of traveling to your beloved...
It's totally up to you.

Considering Wadi has a +1 to Acrobatics and a +0 to both Climb and Swim here, I think we can go for maximum comedic value here :D
Wadi's heart constricts painfully as he sees his beloved pulled under the water.
BY Hell's wrath, she will drown! I have to DO something!!
Swim check: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8
With no further thought needed, Wadi looks down to the water and leaps out towards where the fairy disappeared in a flailing manner, impacting solidly in what could be loosely termed a belly flop by those more accustomed to water environments.

Jan will try and follow her to the best of his ability.
