The Midnight Mirror
A ciphered letter arrives at the Grand Lodge of Absalom, bearing the seal of the Jeggare family. After decyphering it, it is circulated among the agents at the Grand Lodge.
"Pathfinders,
There is a small matter in the country of Nidal that demands the attention of capable Pathfinder agents. The Tiboros family, an influential family in the Nidalese capitol of Nisroch, has written me requesting our aid. They wish to confirm the safety and well being of their daughter Anya, who moved to the small village of Karpad to marry a Baron Stepan Boroi one year ago. Her usual letters to her family have mysteriously stopped over the past month, and naturally they are concerned.
The Tiboroses tread delicate political ground in Nisroch, being somewhat enlightened liberals by that dark country's cruel standards. Thus, they wish to check on Anya's well being discreetly. In return, they are willing to arrange certain favors on behalf of our noble society. In truth, we need all the favors we can get in that shadowy land.
Unfortunately, I have urgent business in Kyonin that demands my attention. Karpad is several hundred miles to the Northeast of Nisroch, on the edge of the Pangolis forest. If half a dozen agents could spare the time to investigate the matter, it would be greatly appreciated.
Respectfully,
Count Varian Jeggare"
The instructors at the grand lodge will be happy to teleport any souls brave or foolish enough to adventure in that shadowy land. The tale should make a fine addition to the Pathfinder Chronicles!

Hardy, self-sufficient souls sought for adventure in the lands of Nidal!
There is one spot already taken for this game, as of yet undecided (either oracle, bard, sorcerer or wizard).
I would be seeking four to five more players interested in playing this module, ideally with all the usual bases filled (i.e. combat, skills, arcane, divine).
Ideal posting rate would be once at least once per day. Good role-play encouraged and creative solutions welcome.
I will entertain submissions until 2014-01-04 5:00 AM UTC (or 1/3/2014 10:00 PM EST), or until adequate candidates are found to fill the spots.
This is an atmospheric and open-ended adventure, and I look forward to running it again.
Levels 3-5 PFS characters only, thanks!

Yes, I would *much* prefer an APL 4+ for survivability.
Assuming you do every encounter with each taking encounter taking 2 days + 30-40% more for RP, this will take upwards of 6-7weeks. Cut out the RP, skip a lot of encounters and you would be closer to a month. I would prefer to run a bit longer and lean towards the RP side.
There's a lot more content here then Thornkeep level 1. Consider yourself warned.
Of course if I get a crop of maniac posters my estimates would need to be revised.

Alright, a bit of a bump to stir up interest again. I feel I've oversold the danger of this module and kind of chased people away! I certainly don't mind a few level threes in the group, but a few level five folks to balance that out would be nice.
It sounds like the following are likely:
Shandar, Tattooed Sorcerer 3
Chuurock Bin Ausk, Cleric of Pharasma 4
Might anybody else be interested in this module?

I've got a AP Credit character that I can get to 5th; I'd just need a day or two to get all my ducks in a row on that. I've been theorycrafting an Oracle of Bones as of late, and would be ecstatic to start him in a Nidal setting. If people with actual characters enter, though, I'll offer higher priority.

Definitley interested, but my only free character in-range curently is my just-barely-3rd level wizard. It looks like you already have an arcane caster at that level, and if Shandor is as efficient as he says, then I'm sure he'd outclass my build, which is focused on buffing and utility spells right now.
I have a 5th level cleric that just started a game, but it's kind of crawling along. Anyway, let me see what the GM there is planning - I hate to think negatively but if that game dies, I'd have a good fit for you.

I'll actually post with the alias I was planning on using for it, though it's in-development. Juju oracles (the cool ones that aren't in Faiths and Philosphies, anyways) aren't PFS-legal, due to James Jacobs being against non-evil undead (and the archetype somehow getting past that restriction.) The fact they have a higher HD cap is better, too.
The biggest issue of that being I see a Pharasmin on the roster, but the character wasn't a liberal Animate Dead user, so it shouldn't be too horrible. Largely build around controlling any undead and Inflict touches.
EDIT: Ducks are organized. I forgot about this line of the Guide. Character is being built now.
You may also opt instead to apply the
Chronicle sheets earned with a non-
1st-level pregenerated character to a
1st-level character with the amount
of gp gained reduced to 500 gp (or
250 gp for characters using the slow
advancement track).

Thanks for the vote of support! That said, have you got any suggestions for my level 3 feat?
I guess I am a bit concerned about survivability, since for PFS we can't level up mid-module liek some home games do. But it looks like we'd have a solid APL of 4.
GM, you said one spot was spoken for. Is that person among those who have responded here? I count six submissions, with Kris and Guilford.
If I may, these are the characters with pending applications that I saw in reading through this thread:
Chuurock - Cleric 4
Leastrie - Lore Warden 5
Shandor - Sorceror 3
Asbjorn - Barbarian 4
Kris - Oracle 5
Guilford - Wizard 3

I'm the one who had a reserved seat by the way.
As for the feat, I'm a big fan of Varisian Tattoo from the ISWG (it would be Evocation for you since you have SF), it basically add +1 caster level for all spells from the school of magic you choose when you pick the feat (and for which you must have SF as a prerequisite).
Many other options, it all depends on the kind of wizard you're trying to do. If you do like one of your spells very much, Spell Specialization can also be a great feat.

The inclusion of Count Jeggare was something solely of my own design. There isn't a PFS friendly introduction to this adventure, and he's close enough to Nidal that I thought he would be appropriate. I'm not aware of any Pathfinder lodges within Nidal.
Alright, I believe I would like the following characters for this group:
Chuurock - Cleric 4
Leastrie - Lore Warden 5
Shandor - Sorcerer 3
Baldwyn -Polearm Fighter 5
Kris - Bone Oracle 5
Guilford - Transmuter 3
Thanks everyone else for your time and interest. I will be running this again in the future I believe so I may look some of you up again.
Please check the discussion thread. I will start a gameplay thread tonight.
