She looks doubtful for a long moment but gives in, knowing she doesn't stand a chance against you. She releases the source and gives in.
"Fine, this is no use."

You follow one of the messengers and start climbing down to the entrance to the vault. You head inside and are met by the following sight. Veins of strange metal line the walls of this massive chamber. Enormous bronze devices connected to the walls by massive cables spark and spew steam, almost obscuring the large vault door at the far end of the room. The door is labeled with a single word in a plethora of languages: danger. Stagnant water collects at the bottom of a ten-foot wide pool in the middle of the room. A gasping, bleeding elf who looks like an aged version of Kreighton Shane lies across the room.

Two guards and an elemental stand before you and the wounded elf.

Falshin sees Roscoe take a grievous wound and immediately rushes over to administer healing to his diminutive companion! He places his hand upon Roscoe's shoulder and a pure, white glow suddenly engulfs Falshin's hand before transferring into Roscoe.

Kinetic Healer: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 Not sure if Inspire Courage would work on Kinetic Healer... so I did not add that into the roll.

No worries. I just thought I'd check since the roll was close. I assume the 8 wasn't enough to down him then either, so the rest of the actions should play out ok.

As the blood staunches from the white glow and the wound binds, Roscoe gives a nod of approval to Falshin with a grimace as he continues to parry and press the guard.

Falshin heals Roscoe back up, giving the man a fighting chance. Jimmy steps walks over and tries to throw his flail in the man's face, who nimbly ducks to avoid the blow.

Roscoe moves into the water but misjudges the depth of the water and immediately starts sinking. 20 feet deep, DC5 climb to get out with a ladder attached to the side. Verhaal casts a spell to try and daze the grunt, and she succeeds. He stands confused for a moment before snapping back out of it, giving everyone a free shot to hit him.

the injured form of Kreighton Shaine manages between blood-soaked coughs.
“But Lady Arodeth is a true savant and driven to fanatical extremes. The same energies that infected her casters above have also seized her soul, and I fear she has already killed several of your fellow chroniclers. Or will have killed them. Blast, but this is confusing.”
Shaine props himself up to continue speaking.
“However noble her goals may have been, if Lady Arodeth forces us to remain in this time, we will all die. If the Sky Key is still functional, you must reactivate it before the Starstone arrives.”
The machines in this chamber begin to spark and smoke, and female bodies take shape from the green miasma. Shaine continues,
“She has learned to create temporal copies of, as I have. She can produce an army, left unchecked. Some teams will need to hold the line here, in this chamber, so that anyone confronting the true Lady Arodeth in the room beyond isn’t overwhelmed by these simulacra. You know your team’s capabilities better than I, but I promise you Lady Arodeth will be not yield easily.”
With that, the chorus of murky green figures announce,
“I would have brought destiny back to this world.”

There are two options:
1) Fight the miasmas and prevent them from going into the other room where lady Arodeth is.
2) Go to lady Arodeth and try to convince her to stop fighting. This option is extremely difficult for your level and I would advise against it. It takes 5 skill checks (high ones) and 3 fails result in combat. But you are still in control of the game :)

Yes, but when your GM advises against one option... it's usually best to heed their advice. We've only overcome those anchors due to some very lucky rolls on our part. I don't feel that we should press out luck as its not likely to hold up over that many checks. That said, I'll follow what the majority decides.
