To answer the second question. Yes, your weapons are/were peacebonded again.

Cernan knows that Babau are resistant to most weapons, unless forged from cold iron or infused with the power of good (DR 10/cold iron or good), while Lysaer knows of their prowess in combat, especially when working in packs or against the unwary (+2d6 Sneak Attack). Additionaly, they have a number of spell-like abilities to sow confusion put their opponents on the back foot.

Misha was seated on the edge of the pavilion doing tree things when the madness started, and was missed by the spell that struck the rest of the party, and so it seems mostly befuddled by its master's actions. Still, on command from Brock she begins bumbling towards the same foe as Brock.

In the process the large mass of wood may knock over a few of the decorate dividers at the edge of the dining area. When it reaches the fray, she casually winds up a large branch it swings it down at the head of the nearest Babau.

Move to the Northeast Babau, Standard to slam it.

Getting hit with the blast from Arastrax, the bard shakes his head realizing that it wasn't a true form of the spell it was supposed to be. Pulling out his kukri he then looks towards Lysaer and Misha before grinning. "May Desna's blessings be upon us, as a butterfly's sting never comes from the first strike!"

Misha hits one of the Babau with its branch. He hits, but the oily coating on their skin eats at at the bark. (See Pending effects below). Lysaer prepares for the combat, as do Auriea, Isabella, Cernan and Galandaro.

The Babau then launch their attack. The blue one pushes through the crow with his longspear to assist its fellows, while the red sees an unarmed man in front of him and start tearing into Brock with claws and toothy maw. AC 24 vs flanking, rigt? Despite the help, the Babau only manages to hit with one claw, a decent strike. (16 damage)

Seeing how the Babau alone couldn't deal with the elven druid, the demon next to him joins the fray. He circles around the unarmed Brock to bite, but also misses.

The man on stage surveys the pandemonium below him. "Yes, fear us. The Onyx Alliance will be your doom today!" He then sends a wave of spine-chilling magic at the Pathfinders. Curiously, it also affects both Babau that caught in the cone.

Yes, since I assume it's been at least an hour, then my Barkskin is gone, so 22(24 vs flanking)!

"OW! THAT THING HIT ME!" He seems to shake off the wound, though there's obvious bleeding from his side where the Babau struck him. "MISHA WE SHALL KILL THIS, CAN YOU HEAR ME!?" Despite being flanked Brock manages to dance around through guarding swings of Misha to escape to a better vantage point, never exposing his retreat to attacks.

Once he's repositioned he gets his great sword free of its sheath and swings a blow at one of the demons. A shiver runs down his spine from the casting of the man, but he seems to shake it off, though he doesn't swing his blade just yet.

Finish drawing my weapon as my standard, using my move and escape route to step out of the flank without provoking AoOs.

Misha's bark sizzles from where she struck the demon, but she doesn't seem to even notice the fear spell, her alien vegetable mind not understanding the need the cower.

Her closeness to Brock allows her to guard his movements before she rears up and begins to attack with hasted movements against the injured Babau.

The red Babau was fleeing, so I've added Misha's attacks to the blue one, killing it.

Arastrax spell has devastating effect: Lysaer, Cernan, Isabella and Galandaro turn tail and flee as well as they can, in the confines of the pavilion. Fortunately, two of the Babau also run away, while the third is beaten to a pulp by Misha.

The man on stage, having identified the largest threat, points his arms at Misha, and two rays of fire fly at the tree creature. One hits, while the other flies wide. 16 fire damage. Will save DC 19 to disbelief the spell as a shadow evocation and reduce damage to 3. Does Misha take double damage from fire? I haven't taken that into account yet.

Those rolls are for Misha as they will impact Brock's actions. I'm not sure if she's impacted by fire weakness. Nothing listed for the archtype or in plant type, but treants normally are weak. Your call.

Brock, bruised and grumpy, sees what the man is attempting to do to his poor little sapling, even if he can't hear it. "WHERE DID EVERYONE GO! AURIEA WE SHALL BASH HIM TOGETHER! MISHA GET THAT MAN!" He flails an arm wildly at the casting man, then attempts to do the same himself. Since fire is being tossed about it's best to proof the treant against it.

Deafness casting failure, 1-20 fails: 1d100 ⇒ 79

Brock manages to finish his spell despite not being able to hear the words jumbling in random shouts from his mouth and slaps Misha with magic to defend her against fire while following her towards their still present foe.

Standard to cast resist energy(fire) on the treant, move to head towards Spikey-hair McShadowMagic. With haste they can both move 30ft in the difficult terrain.

Misha realizes somewhere in her woody head that the spell heading her way isn't quite what it appears to be. The shadowy spell singes her but does little to stop it's lumbering gait to Brock's command. Bolstered by new magic she continues to have no fear and attempts to beat the brains in of her newest target while her master threatens and harries.

Sorry to put so many people out of the fight, folks. Luckily, I have the feeling it will be over soon...

Arastrax manages to laugh off Auriea's attack, but the treant's massive swing causes him to reel. Seeking a means of escape, he turns back to the dancer and uses magic to shove the man out of the way. Will save DC 19, or be shoved back 15 feet, off the stage and stumbling into Cernan. 1 damage in that case. He then steps back, away from the treant.

Spellcraft DC 19:
He uses a Telekinesis spell-like ability.

In the rest of the tent, you can see that the guests, working together, have started to get the demon invasion under control. The band of Hellknights are clearing out the southern entrance, while Damian has gotten hold or a sword at the northern exit and fights a couple of dretches, Michellia by his side with a longspear she nabbed from another of the Babau.

The wind gets knocked out of Auriea as he flies away from the man from an unseen force hits the bard. He then moved back towards the man and takes another swing! "That's a different ability! Some sort of telekinesis?"

Not sure, but it looks okay to me now. I've placed Auriea back due to the Telekinesis, and moved Arastrax because of his 5 foot step earlier. The Babau in white/black is dead, I've removed the other two off the map because they fled quite a long way.

Auriea strikes the mercenary, and deals the final wound necessary. The man crumples on the stage, coughing up blood before taking his last breath. Upon his death, a creature departs from his body: a demonic entity consisting mostly of shadow, with bat-like wings and winked claws and teeth. "That was inevitable, wasn't it. Crude body..."

Knowledge planes DC 22:
The creature is a shadow demon, an extraplanar creature capable of taking over people's bodies using magic jar.

The shadowy creature looks around the pavilion, where the rest of the guests are definitely gaining the upper hand, and several people have slashed gaps in the walls to allow frightened people to leave. He seems unhappy about the turn of events, but also resigned. "Well, so far for my involvement here, it seems..." It hisses, and then flies away through the pavilion wall. Even before it's fully out of sight, it teleports away.

COMBAT OVER

The effects of Arastrax's spells on you also wears off after a short while. The fighting eventually winds down, with many of the demons fleeing or teleporting away when they see that they're losing. They have inflicted considerable damage to the guards and guests present, though.

That means that we're almost done with the scenario. It's just wrap-up at this point.

Brock lets out a massive sigh and drops on his butt where he stands, patting Misha on a barky thigh and letting his sword drop down beside him after the demon flees.

He's a bit of a mess, but looks like he'll pull through, but he sits there for a couple minutes trying to get his hearing back before the sounds of screams and chaos return and his smiles. After the last slap to the side of his head he speaks. "Hey! I can hear again! Good work finishing that thing off Auriea... any idea what it was?"

He'll drag himself to his feet and start checking on the others before trudging off to help the other guests and prevent anyone from bleeding out that may have fallen in the battle until someone gets things back in order.

With the reception interrupted and the security of the island clearly breached, Hamaria Blakros calls the weekend’s festivities to a close. The guests with the most critical wounds are taken care of at the pavilion, and after that all of the guests are quickly rounded up by surviving mercenaries and ushered to the pier. The boat ride back to Absalom takes on a somber tone, any joy at the wedding eclipsed by the death and destruction the demons brought to Pariol Island.

During the boat ride, several of the guests come around to the group of Pathfinder, most specifically Auriea and Brock, to laud them as lauded as heroes of the wedding, and the Society’s prestige grows as a result of their actions. A few days later, Ambrus Valsin seeks you out at the Grand Lodge. "Greeting, Pathfinder. I've had reports from several of our faction leaders about the wedding. It seems they weren't kidding about the need for security measure. From what I hear, you've handled yourself admirably in this social arena. My compliments, and congratulations on this successful mission."

Auriea beams as he is praised, but also tells the guests that if it weren't for the team, the event would me more of a disaster than it had been. As it were, the others had helped with keeping many of the foes distracted allowing himself and Misha to take care of the threat.
