As the Imp launches itself at Theon the fighter lands an solid blow on the devil leaving a deep wound in its side. Hissing with anger the Imp stinks Theon. Its cry of triumph is cut short though as Theon drives the silver dagger into the beast's chest, burying the blade to the hilt. As the Imp goes limp it drops the metal box to the ground with a loud crash.

Well that was entertaining. The Paracountess chuckles from the other room. I almost thought the Devil was going to win! Why don't you take your prize back to the Grand Lodge. If I were you I'd also talk to Ambris about possibly getting some more melee training. She finishes with another mischievous smile. Also think about my offer. I'm sure I could teach you a thing or two about sparring.

Ky'ang gives a exasperated sigh and shakes her head. "Spar without me, Venture Captain," she had heard of the Paracountess and her reputation and had no taste for the woman having now met her. She reaches down to pick up the metal box. "Is this what we are to take?"

Walking over to Theon, she begins pulling at water that isn't there and then slowly pulls together the glowing water and places her hand over Theon's wound.

After doing so, she looks a little fatigued, but Theon's wounds have closed.

Theon scopes up the box as Ky'ang heals up his wounds. "Thank you, Ky'ang, that was most appreciated."

Theon eyes the Paracountess as she reminds them of her offer and then he glances back over towards the large wooden X... And he shakes his head, clearing his mind of any lustful thoughts he may have once had about the woman. "Thank you, milady, but I believe we must be on our way." He hands her back the silver dagger before quickly departing.

The Seven Veils Festival is in full swing as he make your way back to the grand lodge. A throng of people blocks the street ahead. A performance art group commandeers the street, drawing graffiti to create a landscape of Absalom complete with illusory figures of every race imaginable comically dancing around in circles. A few citizens avoiding the crowd slip off-street through a nearby alley, the only egress past the gathering.

Up ahead the crowd thins and Zarlonna, Akvius, and Ky'ang see a hooded man watching the party approach. As soon as they spot him he moves forward and three more figures emerge from the shadows of the intersection up ahead. The group consists of two human women (one in a chain shirt the other in a green dress), a male human (in chain shirt and wielding a rapier and a dagger) and, a male halfling with a ridiculous mustache (and a large Axe).
End of the road Pathfinders! the Halfling calls out. Hand over your gear and any trinkets you might have and we might let you live!

Akvius' vision narrows as soon as he feels the impact of the acid blob. He loses focus, and hears a hard impact as his body collapses on the rooftop. Out of the black vision, a shadowy outline of a face with red glowing eyes and horns coming out of the head, begins to emerge...

"All this power I grant you, and you are unable to harness it. Perhaps I was wrong thinking you were a suitable vessel to usher in my reign. Ponder your failure, while I decide if you are worth saving!"

The shadowy face fades back into darkness.

Theon gasps in pain as the axe cuts deep down into his leg. With a quick flick of his wrist, a dagger suddenly pops into his hand and he tosses the blade as the axe-wielding halfling! He then falls back a few steps to create some space between he and the enemies.
