Jal nods at the team's general approach, darting forward as his blade glides free.
"Hey, Heng! What are the chances you could just show us how to appropriately bang the gong and let us do it unhindered?" he yells out as he dodges past the defender. "Please?"
If Heng doesn't stop and suddenly turn helpful, Jal shrugs, "I tried." And he attacks.

Rows of smooth granite pillars line the perimeter of a huge rotunda. Between the pillars, intricate patterns of inlaid stone form the cryptic arcane symbols. Toward the rear of the chamber rises a stepped dais, its broad base inlaid with similar fonts. Atop the dais meditates a slight-built man garbed in flowing yellow robes. Barefooted, he sits with his legs folded as his calm, unblinking gaze stares serenely into space. Below him, surrounding the dais and filling the remainder of the room are gouts of fire, rolling boulders, howling blasts of wind, and rolling torrents of water that churn like a savage and chaotic elemental sea. ***OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT***
A lone Pathfinder suddenly breaks through the gaping wall of elementals and runs towards the Emissary’s platform, leading the charge. It is Jin-Goro of the Exchange faction!
Cheers erupt from fellow Pathfinders as they rally to keep the gap open whilst the brave and desperate lone figure races forward.
Jin-Goro reaches to touch the platform, but as he does, the Emissary bursts into a maddening laugh, and with a wave of his hand, the platform erupts into a shower of smoke, sparks, and cherry blossoms. Before your eyes, eight monks dressed in the robes of their sifu appear, standing in a circular formation atop the platform. With a calm grace, each one assumes a combat stance. Behind the wall of qinggong disciples, the Sifu again calmly seats himself. He closes his eyes, folds his legs, and sits in the lotus position, awaiting the victors.
This is it - the finale!

That would cover up to 4th level spells. I'm not 100% certain OOCly if, say, a monk's qinggong powers are in fact spellcraftable/dispellable exactly (and I don't know for certain that's what's going on here, that's just an educated guess, haha). However, if Taika would reasonably think she could dispel the effect causing the mischance, she will cast a targeted dispel magic upon that effect.
Dispel magic: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Awesome. Going to use a portfolio re-roll + GM stars on that, let me know if you need a picture of the folio.
I SAID DISPEL: 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 4 = 30 ...okay, apparently I really DID say dispel. O__o I'm-a feel dumb if this turns out not to be dispellable, lol.
Taika's eyes darken to the blue-black at the heart of the glacier as she observes the monk that throws fire and dodges so easily. Taika's hands then begin to fly in a complex pattern, as if a tapestry was hung in the air before her and she was unraveling its woven strands.... undoing the whole, forcing things back to a simpler pattern.
(If the effect is something Taika would not be able to identify or doesn't think she could dispel, then, if permitted, I'll just do a Reveal Weakness for the -3 AC, 1 rd duration)

If it is what I think it is, yes you will know what it is with that roll and yes you can dispel it. There is also something else I will bring up if it turns out to be what I am thinking it is as one of my main characters is a mage. :)

@Taika: Identifying a spell effect that is in place is a Knowledge (Arcana) DC 20 + spell level, so no luck there (since it's the same bonus as your Spellcraft). I'll assume you'll still go ahead with your dispel attempt, since it is a reasonable chance to take.
Taika targets the monk with an overwhelming abjuration, and suddenly the monk's skin seems less tough and wooden.
The monk instantly retaliates by flitting past Taika and Auric and blasting them from behind.
Ranged touch attack v Auric: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Crit?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Ranged touch attack v Taika: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Fire damage v Auric: 8d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 6, 2, 3, 2, 5, 2) = 29
Fire damage v Taika: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 3) = 10
Combat Round 3
Bold may act
