Toivo Talvislag

Ahh, one busy day and this starts moving really fast! Lots to catch up on.
Toivo helps to lead the group into the large cavern with the reliefs he again takes an interest in them trying to decipher what they might be. He looses much of his interest once Jalak explains what they are. Once again, nothing to do with that place. Worse it's about a dead god of people...
His interest lost he moves to the edge of the passage of the chamber and starts rubbing his sore back, just in time for Khardum to ask if anyone has any bruises. Snatching his hand away he grumbles in a tone of voice louder than necessary, "No, I don't have any."
When Sunnendel starts talking about fish, Toivo opens his mouth to say something, but isn't able to voice it before the halfling pulls the smoked fsih out. Toivo's plain look of boredom soon cracks into a full blown look of disgust, as the dwarf scrambles as far away from Sunnendel as he can and into the other chamber. "Why do you have fish on you? Don't come near me with that."
Half keeping an eye on Sunnendel, Toivo slowly turns and looks around the other chamber.
Toivo doesn't have any of those knowledges but they are achievable untrained so he is going to try them anyways! In order: engineering, geography, history, local, religion, and local again if needed.
Untrained Knowledges DC 10: 6d20 ⇒ (16, 2, 2, 5, 8, 14) = 47
Ugh Absalom again. I swear if that city wasn't the base of operations for the Society... Oh and is that a gillman? Can we finally finish this assignment? Toivo waves the rest of the group closer, minus Sunnendel and his offensive snack. He points at the lone figure and whispers in a slightly excited tone of voice, "It's a gillman! His excitement then falls flat. ...and a miniature carving of Absalom.

"Well, I'll be," Khardum remarks as he enters the other part of the cave, "So it is!"
"Hello! Sir, pardon the intrusion. We mean you no harm," he calls out to the gillman from the torch-lit tunnel mouth.
M the Magnificent

A gillman she replies. She looks at the hillman to find the tell tale gills. Yup, yes they are. Halfling, you might want to put the fish away, we don't know if it was like a relative or something

Sunnendel shrugs his shoulders and puts his bit of fish back into his pack. "A Gillman?" "REALLY!!" "Where?!?" Sunnendel looks around excitedly "O hello." "How are you?" "I'm Sunnendel Needlefeet." "What's your name?"

"Apologies about that," Khardum says to the gillman, "We come in peace, but I didn't want us to startle you by approaching with, well, all these weapons."
He sets down his hammer, pulls his axe from the loop at his belt and sets it down too, and then sits on the cave floor.
"The Pathfinder Society sent us to learn about these caves, about the gillmen, and their significance to gillmen, especially on the full moon. If you would be willing to teach us, we would be mighty grateful. If not, that's fine. Either way, we'll leave you in peace to go back to your... meditation? Prayers?"

"Oh a gillmen" Jalak whispers under his breath and pulls out his notebook once more and begins to record the groups interaction with the gillmen. Responding to Khardum introduction and with out looking up form his notebook Jalak quickly says "Oh do not forget to inquire about the city diorama, given the amount of trinkets that adorn the structure it likely has some degree of significance."

The gillman finally breaks his silence.
"You have entered a site sacred to my people. It was once sacred to Aroden, the dead god of humanity, as well, but over the past century, the carvings in the nearby room have weathered and melted, and perhaps Aroden’s influence will soon have fade completely. However, other creatures have invaded the caves and are not so polite as you Pathfinders. They threaten to encroach on the sacred waters we use for our meditations."

"Other creatures? Do you know where they lair?" Khardum asks the gillman, "We could drive them out to make these caves safe again."
| GM Skipper |
"The sacred waters are beset from two directions. To the east, rotten abominations roam, while to the west, cursed fey plot against the surface folk.
The fey have yet to make a move against us, but the undead are sadly made from my fallen kinsmen. If you were to cleanse the caverns, I shall be indebted to you."

Toivo stays back and warily watches the new humanoid, making sure it doesn't pose a threat. He gives a slight grumble at Khardum's actions. "Sure you want to throw your weapon down? Could attack you at any moment." He then listens to the rest of the conversation in silence, until the Gilman mentions the undead and cursed fey. "All for dealing with the cursed fey. Aren't natural and should be taken care as soon as possible. But undead aren't good either... Either way, let's get moving"
Jalak Stoneside
|
"Khardum? I know everyone gets excited about by the prospects of a fight and this undead threat definitely needs to be eliminated. But do you think we will have time to interview the gillman further? I mean he could be a wealth of knowledge we are letting slip through our fingers." Jalak says nervously while quickly looking between his companions to judge their reaction.
Toivo Talvislag

"Can always go back later. Might even be happy we put his brethren to rest." Toivo comments to Jack as they head down the tunnels. When everyone seems to stop at the corner, Toivo gives a sigh and a grumble. "No point in stopping here, need to press on." he growls as he pushes past Kei and the wolf to look into the other room.

"Gah! The stench. This is more like what I'm used to finding in caves. Fewer lovely carvings and more stinking in general." Kei will move forward urging Wolf to trot in front of him. "Nothing for it but to press on though."

The passage turns to the east and opens into a small cavern littered with bits of broken glass, rotting pieces of paper, and other unusable detritus. The body of a man lies facedown toward the back of the cavern. Three restless dead shuffle about the cavern but converge on you as they notice you.

He continues his grumbling as he gathers growths from the wood in the area, however this time the wood produces flowers that quickly give up their razor sharp looking petals to a growing mass in Toivo's hands. He carefully aims between the wolf's ears and lets the petals fly, their edges making a whistling noise as they cut the air...
Afraid to hit the wolf though, Toivo aims way too high and hits the ceiling. In dwarven, he starts a tirade of cursing about selfish tengu and the stupidity of putting an innocent animal in combat.
