Despite his poor feeling about the tactical nightmare he is currently in the middle of, Thadd pulls back an arrow quickly and manages to stick the half-orc squarely in the shoulder!

Round 1
Malus
Curtzog (9 damage taken)
Thaddaeus (shaken 4 rounds)
Iason
Ozymandias
Koemi

Bleoran
Gnoll 1
Gnoll 2
Kyra (underwater, 24 rounds)

One of the gnolls chitters something to the man at the helm, Bleoran. He yells back, "Ready!" Both gnolls draw arrows in their longbows, scanning the port side for a target. Bleoran reaches down to his hip and withdraws something.

GM Rolls:

Unsure what to do, Gnoll 1 delays for Bleoran's orders.
Bleoran, sensing they can gain the upper hand and gnoll 1 wait for gnoll 2 and everyone readies a shot for a target to present itself.

Iason, Ozymandias and Koemi are up!

As previously posted, Iason and Etrigan begin to aid poor Kyra and Koemi conjures a moonlight staircase into the water making the rescue attempt seem like a sure thing next round. Good thinking both of you!

Mark, my intention was delaying just after the first gnoll so to post at same moment as the rest of the party. I see he has now delayed too, but I would like to go after Koemi if possible.
Following how the action is developing (Thanks Koemi and Iason!) I think what I posted before will happen before they acted, then Kyra will wait to get profit of the help.

Seeing Etrigan swimming with a rope and just after a colourful stair taking shape in front of Kyra, the young woman feels her body invigorating from hope and tries to catch the eidolon to save herself.

How high up am I? I am curious to see if I can acrobatics to a spot in front of one of those wolf looking things, and it would be significantly easier to do if I was elavated. I'm not too worried about the falling damage, as long as it looks cool.

Oz sees his opportunity to strike, gets in his crane style swift action and stealthily tries to jump down to right in front of the wolf thing, all while SCREAMING "May Sarenrae's light outshine your wickedness!!!" as soon as he lands.

stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35

acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25 The space I am jumping to is 15 feet away. This is a move action.

As soon as he is down there You need to tell me how much damage I took from the fall he goes into a quiet rage free and slashes defensively at the wolf like... thing with his scimitar.

Attack Defensively: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 The rage bonus and attacking defensively penalty cancel each other out

Damage: 1d4 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 So yes, the yell was at the same time as the slash, as you can see, I yelled as soon as I landed, but also slashed at the same time.

For the Glory of the Veskarium! Docking Bay 3-3

Kyra - no problem. I'll adjust accordingly. Your next round action you will be back in the rowboat.

Ozymandias - The forecastle deck should be ~ 10 tall since there is a room underneath. It's another DC 15 Acrobatics check to ignore this, which you'll reasonably make with a +12 so I'm not worried about it.

Ozymandias leaps out from the forecastle and slashes at the surprised gnoll! Though it is dim light conditions for you, 1d100 ⇒ 41 it's not a problem.

Bleoran yells at Curtzog, "What 're ya standin' there for? Throw that pipsqueek overboard!"

The wounded gnoll steps towards the stern and fires his bow at Ozymandias!

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 *miss*

The second gnoll and Bleoran continue watching.

If Curzog fails his will save, I will use Dimensional Slide to get up on deck, then move into the doorway to the side as indicated on the map (If I can actually see it from the side, doubtful, I would just slide right into position). If he succeeds his save, I will remain on the boat for now.

Curtzog chucks a thunderstone down into the row boat, and seems to actually be happy that Thaddaeus just got a lot bigger! "Come on up, big boy!" he taunts.

Etrigan fort save, assuming it is needed: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Iason covers his ears in time to avoid the deafening impact of the stone. Etrigan, just surfacing from underwater, is also saved the worst of it. The Chelish man glances left to right, taking the situation into consideration.

Quick words spill from his mouth and his allies find themselves moving more quickly.

Casting Haste. Targets: Kyra, Etrigan, Koemi, Thaddaeus, and Iason, most likely, since Malus is already on the ship. Probably still within 30, but I'm more worried about getting the rest of us up there. :P

"Etrigan, go up there and do what you do best," Iason says when the words of his spell have finished dying away.

The creature, having lifted its head out of water again after having passed the rope to Kyra, grins in the darkness of its hood.

"I shall enact your will, my 'master',
"And thanks to your art, I'll do it faster."

The figure of Etrigan starts swimming using the boat as an aid to get closer to the ship's curved side. Etrigan intends to climb by simple merit of digging his brutal claws into the slick wood.

Etrigan has a climb speed (though no swim speed), so I'm not sure if that alone would be feasible for getting up a wet, curved surface like the ship, but I'll roll a swim check (to get to the ship) and a climb check. Current climb speed is 60 ft, yay haste. :P

PARTY BUFF: Haste, Round 1/5

Swim for Etrigan: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 (He's clinging to the boat if that grants any additional bonus.)

Climb check for Etrigan: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28

(If the first swim check failed to get him to the ship, he would, of course, use his second action to keep trying to swim to the ship.)

Fair enough. Koemi's bridge post happened while I was typing mine, haha. Well, if the bridge is considered existent when Iason's turn happens, GM, then Etrigan would not, of course, waste time trying to get to the side of the ship if he could just trip the light fantastic~

For the Glory of the Veskarium! Docking Bay 3-3

Kyra - technically I suppose so. Given the situation, it's an AC 5 touch attack to drop it into the rowboat which should be enough to cause it to go boom. Not a 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 :D Also you should have a standard action, yes.

Iason - No need for the swim check.

I forgot to have Curtzog move back in my thunderstone and taunting excitement, so I moved him back towards the middle of the ship.

In that case, would it be feasible for Etrigan to run onto the deck and take a chomp at Curtzog? 60 move speed with haste to get up the bridge to Curtzog. If feasible...:

Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Dripping wet from his soak in the sea, the figure blurs up the bridge of moonlight and erupts onto the deck. The cloak has slid to one side, revealing a clearly inhuman visage: skin a jaundiced yellow, horns, a mouth of gaping teeth.

"Rescue done, and now the fun
"Of the oldest game begins
"Remember, now, it isn't how
"You play, but if you win."

The mocking sing-song of the monster's words disappear as his mouth fills with flesh instead.

Hearing the noise and cry from above, Iason's eyes narrow and he decides it's time to get up on the deck. He blurs up the bridge and takes in the scene with a quick glance around. With a flick of his wrist, a wand carved to look like a devil's tail drops from the cunning wrist sheath under his sleeve to land in his hand-- a murmured word in Infernal and another gesture touches the wand to Thaddaeus's side.

It is probable, Iason thinks, that the man likely has some moral issue with such things. Andorans. If so, his colleague can yell at him later.

(Thaddaeus, if you very strongly don't want Infernal Healing due to RP reasons, I'd say you could yell that at Iason before he touches you with it. ;) If you don't object, though, his action is to cast Infernal Healing on you.)

"Hawke is rather injured," Iason calls down calmly to those still in the boat.

Etrigan, meanwhile, is quite disgruntled that his opponent sees fit to ignore him. The creature steps forward to interpose himself between his master and Curtzog, then lets loose with the full fury of Hell, in the form of claws and teeth.

For the Glory of the Veskarium! Docking Bay 3-3

That is Etrigan, Iason's eidolon.

Liberty's Edge

Koemi...I think the eidolon rendered the half orc unconscious.

Thadd will move south...not sure if he can end is turn on the stairs due to his size but if so he'll make an attack roll against the gnoll...we can use my previous roll or I can roll again if you'd like.

Thaddaeus - I would totally allow you to make attacks from the deck while enlarged, however...
When Malus said he was going to cast enlarge person on you, I had a sneaking suspicion that this would happen...so I'm kind of sorry, and I hope you guys find this to be as epicly amazing as it is intended to be...

With Etrigan tearing the half-orc to shreds, Thaddaeus moves across the deck to the port side of the ship with his giant strides. He hardly has time to register the sound of splintering wood under his feet as gravity calls the giant man down into the ship's hold!

Thaddaeus:

It is dark in the hold, and you can hear movement and whimpering just north and west of you. There is a groan and movement underneth you, you think I've landed on smoeone. You also hear some barking and growling south and west of you. I'll be adding the map for everyone soon, but I think at the moment you can't see anything anyway because of darkness?

Bleoran moves back and reloads his weapon, pointing it at the raging halfling! Another loud explosion erupts from the device, and a portion of the deck near Ozmandias splinters!

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 1 = 12 *miss*
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

The gnoll moves down the stairs and fires his bow at Etrigan!

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 *miss*
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Kyra jumps up the deck as he sees the giant falling down the deck "Thad!!!"

Kyra advances 20' to the pit and focus her lighted symbol to see what has been of Thad.

If Thad can rise his arm this turn to be healed she will do so. Otherwise she will channel to heal. But depending on what I see I can try other things if a higher threat is down there.

Still in a rage, and now seeing his ally drop into what seems like the Abyss, Ozymandias screams in empathetic agony (he doesn't know that Thad isn't dead), five foot steps over to the gunslinger and swings his blade, trying his best to cut his foe in half.

Thaddaeus:

Not a problem. As pointed out in the discussion thread, I should have actually given you a Ref save to avoid falling into the hold anyway, so if you can make that check for me we'll sort out weather you are in the hold or on deck and roll with events from there :)

Don't forget you have Infernal Healing up, Thaddaeus. You've regained 1 HP as far as I know.

The hellish-looking creature tears around the deck, skirting the hole that Thaddaeus fell into (or caused). As soon as he's close enough, he bites savagely at the gnoll that fired at him.

Bite: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Iason glances around dispassionately over the scene unfolding on the deck, and the dead bodies they've already left. He peers with mild curiosity down into the hold, even if the hole is mostly full of Thaddaeus, and steps up to cast light on Thaddeus's armor (assuming he can reach it; if not, he'll cast it on a beam of the deck, trying to shine light down into the cargo hold).

"I assumed we would head down into the hold eventually, Master Hawke, but you've rather sped up the timetable, haven't you? Hello down there. Pathfinders. If you are not in league with these slavers, stay out of the way until we can see to you. If you are in league with these slavers, you might as well try to escape the ship right now."

As Kyra sees Thad is ok down the deck and does not need any help, neither any danger is on sight I assume by your answers, the woman profits the improved movement from the haste to place herself next to the eidolon, avoiding the pit.

She takes her scimitar with both hands and tries to land a hit over the gnoll with a half-arc.

Meanwhile, Malus quickly moves to the deck just south of the pit, and looks in.

I will reserve my standard action until I know what is down there.

GM:
Malus has Darkvision and looks down from the south side of the entrance to below decks: what does he see?

For the Glory of the Veskarium! Docking Bay 3-3

Ok, let's see if we can get this back on track...:D

Giant Thaddaeus does indeed crash down into the hold, the flimsy grates not meant to support such weight. Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4 falling to Thaddaeus.

Kyra and Etrigan make short work of the gnoll!

Ozymandias and the eagle swarm finish off the gunslinger who screams in horror as he is sliced into bits!

Malus and Koemi look down into the hold to see what is happening while Iason taunts his unseen foes!

The hold of the At Sea has been outfitted to allow for easy access from above and a mixture of live and boxed cargo. Iron rings attached to the inside of the hull on both sides provide anchor points for manacles. Along the port side, iron cages have been bolted to the floorboards and hull. Barrels of potable water and crates filled with dried carnivore feed are packed into several sections of the hold. There are two doors toward the stern. Four slaves are chained to the starboard side’s iron rings. Three are Keleshite and Vudrani humans, respectively, the fourth is a gnome, whom the gnolls have (unsurprisingly) gagged.

On the port side is the cage which contains a pair of surly squat, powerful, vaguely canine beasts with foul-smelling fluids oozing from weeping sores across their scaly skin. A half-orc is standing next to the cage and opens it pointing at Thaddaeus and shouting "Chopper, sic balls!"

I've added the Hold map to the Campaign Info, but not yet switch the shortcut under my name because of the split map mode :)

And yes, Thaddaeus landed on one of the slaves.

The two beasts charge across the hold and bite at the giant meal! Their snapping jaws find no purchase however.

Beast Bite 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 *miss*
Damage 1: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Beast Bite 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 *miss*
Damage 2: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Round 5
Malus

All PCs may act!
