Describing in more detail what the GM botted(sp?) for last round (thank you!): Tuich heads for Khismia and leaps from her horse as she whips a sash loose.
And this round: Rushing to her sister-oracle's side (20', MA) she barks, "స్టీల్ కండువా!" (Steel Scarf Revelation, SwA) A momentary glint of metal as she whips the sash towards the monstrosity. (30' "reach", SA)

Miko throws a blob of acid that leaves a small burn on one of the tentacles. Tuich slashes it with her scarf while Vincent moves into position. Dylara hit with her magical flame while Melon attempts to attack. Kismia stays put and heals her horse.
It turns it's attention to Vyk in a flurry of teeth and tentacles.

Searching the gnolls only turns up basic spears and leather armor. Though they do have some strange scars on them.
Looking around the group finds a weathered partially buried marker about 100 feet west of the oasis. During the hour before dusk, the setting sun's light causes a weathered hieroglyph depicting an arch to glow. Even as the sun sets, the long shadow cast by the stone never shifts, always pointing to the northwest with the exact same bearing.
Following the marker the remainder of the journey through the desert proceeds uneventfully, with only the rise and fall of the dunes to break the monotony. A low, uneven hill of granite appears on the horizon to the northwest, presenting the only shelter for miles around. Although the crag appears solid from a distance, on closer examination there is a wide fissure in the rock sealed by a heavily weathered stone wall fitted with a large iron door.
Again feel free to heal up or cast log term buffs before entering.

"That tentacle thing was a little - frisky," he finally managed to say while shifting uncomfortably. "I'm really glad it's dead."
When he reviewed the potions he looked to Vincent, "Maybe you should take the Potion of Haste. If we get caught out in the open again, it'll help you close the gap."

As the heroes walk through the desert, Vyk hums this.
When they reach the fissure with the locked iron door, Vyk gets cautious. "Look alive, people. Let's make sure we're not walking into a trap."

If nothing is around, Vyk scans the door for magic.

"It requires some knowledge about the items," Dylara explains to Tuich. "You can easily pick that up over time, as you see more items during your missions for the Society."

Khismia first ensured Sabah is unharmed, than spend another spell to heal her horse, just in case they meet another sand monster. CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11. Her stallion felt much better after her blessing. Most of the way she spend talking to her daughter. Look like kid was overheated in the sun and oracle spend most of her attention verifying Sabah was OK.
Standing in front of door, she tried to get what is waiting them on the other side:
- Are you going to leave your kid there?
- Yes, Ayu. And I told you several times, it is much more safe, than allow her follow me.
- So, you think that it is normal to make one kid take care of 5 horses and camel?
- Yes, Ayu. When I was a kid, I was taking care about ten or more horses at once. Stop distracting me, I want to find any traces of magic here.
- Oh, I will help you to see. You'll see that with my eyes! Angry haunt put her invisible hands around Khismia's eyes.
"Oh... That's what she see... No doubt, she is so insane" Khismia saw black and white silhouettes surrounding her. World around lost its colors and saturation, except her friends. They were full of energy, full of some internal glow. Qadiran blinked several times and looked at the door. She wanted to see any glowing figures on the other side.
