Birgit, I'm not sure how that flurry works. What size cone? Is Flurry a full-round action? And were you aiming for the group around Witley, or near Hawkwren and Telurion?

Actually, if she moves up to the door, only Whitley gets hit for FF (he right still have evasion) while hitting all bads. It's require a concentration DC 19 or provocation from the bow guy (if he threatens) since it's not a carryable touch spell, but an incredibly sound tactical move.

GM Derek W |

Thanks Xath! I don't have People of the North, and it's obviously not in the PRD, so that was a huge help!
I'm going to be very kind in a metagamey way. I may have previewed certain die rolls...

GM Derek W |

Xathaliel, both targets have soft cover from your current position. The human warrior is clearly wearing better armor, but he is closer to you. I can have you step in front of Telurion to avoid cover, but lose flurry. If you want to keep your current action, that's fine too.

![]() |

Human warrior then. Start the "5ft every round to slowly get into position" dance.

GM Derek W |

Xath steps forward and gets the human warrior with a single arrow. The man staggers back for half a second, then braces himself again.

Witley "Wit" Stills |

Wit rushes forward, then stops abruptly and spins with a sharp kick to the leg of the human warrior. Electricity crackles from the point of impact.

Wit's strike casuses the human fighter to spasm in pain as a jolt of electricty courses through his body.
He throws down his sword and shield, and orders the last warrior to do the same.
"Mercy! I'll come quietly if you spare me!"

Xathalial will hold fire on surrendered people.

GM Derek W |

The man gives a low chuckle.
"My boss, you say? Oh, fine. Hey! Boss! Yes? You called? I was in command here, you see. Now I'm willing to trade some information for my life and freedom. Do we have a deal?'

![]() |

You can only aid yourself by being less cryptic. We've already established that your life is what your bargaining with. Tell us what you know.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

![]() |

He is willing to give you your life in exchange for information Birgit says looking at Hawkren, I am not. She saunters over to him and kneels in front of him, she sinks her nails deep into his flesh drawing blood, however the touch is also painfully cold.. I am saying that if the information is good and worth while we might award you with a few more years for repentance.
intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

GM Derek W |

All the color drains from the man's face. His eyes grow wide as he looks at Birgit in terror.
He begins to speak, stammering at first but his voice growing steadier as he remembers more details.
"It's very valuable information. Did you know, for instance, that this keep was built on the ruins of an ancient wizard's fortress? An elf wizard named Tessarael built her lair here, and conducted strnage experiments with a powerful arcane engine. Who know what secrets such a device may hold? What kind of power could it grant its owner?"
"Ten years ago I was stationed here when Molthune last held the keep. I heard rumors about Tessarael and that her hidden fortess may have survived the tesrt of time. Once I had my own command I waited for my chance, then falsified orders and led my men here. After digging for a few days, they found stairs leading down to a previosuly hidden basement. The arcane engine must be there! It must! Take it for yourselves. Just let me go."

GM Derek W |

"Yes, that's my name. Formerly Lieutenant Pavo Vos of Molthune. But I am presently a man without a country. I suspect my commanders know I faked orders to move my men here. That alone would get me cashiered, if not worse."

![]() |

Xathalial unceremoniously points out a fact that may well be better kept hidden. "Were we not informed of this Pavo Vos to be a trickster and a fox by those who showed us here?"
Sense Motive @ legitimacy of higher ups realizing the orders change: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 And then Xathalial remembers he knows literally nothing of politics, other than breaking into embassies are sometimes necessary and really easy.

![]() |

Not an easy decision. But then again, Telurion is a practical man ;)
"I say we tie him up and drag him along - If he proves useful..." - he looks pointedly at the man - "Offering us decent assistance on what to expect ahead as we proceed, who knows? He may get lucky in the end"
He moves towards him, stripping his possessions and proceeding in tying him up - "But leave him free to just roam and come back to stab us in a few hours from now, or alerting whomever more is around here? No way" - he winks at Vos.
-----------------------
If things proceed as planned, Terion will then go through his possessions for anything of use, or particularly valuable.
