Anya follows along quietly, more interested in the bone scroll than in their surroundings or the double-doors ahead.


Luralee opens the door and darkness again beckons beyond.

She does make out a pair of goblins here, one standing sentry and the other sitting on some stairs moving up into the tower.

They shout a few short phrases in the goblin tongue and spring into action. One runs up the stairs, the other attacks Luralee with a dogslicer but misses in its haste.

Gneau moves into the room, right past the goblin (risking an aoo) and strikes at the the little green guy if he's still up... if not, he'll just move into the room and give it a quick search.

The goblin sentry holds its head in pain after Davorin casts his spell. While it is distracted, Luralee brings it down with her scimitar.

Gneau moves into the room and sees stairs circling up to the right and can hear the other goblin's feet running up the stairs, a warning ringing out in the goblin tongue.

Sara moves into the room and seeing the immediate threat having been neutralised, readies her weapon and looks around in case anymore goblins appear...


The group hears the pitter-patter of goblin feat moving up the stairs, then the pounding on a door. After that, all is quiet.

Going out of initiative for the moment...no current threats.

The elven diviner goes to cautiously inspect the room to the south from outside the room.

Gneau assists as much as he can, shoring up the table barricades with miscellaneous smaller pieces of furniture like chairs, just to make it more secure.


The group makes a barricade of tables and chairs. However, the ceilings in the tower are tall, and the obstacles would not stop a determined enemy for too long.

Still, it seems it would cause some noise to move.

Ilarien retrieves her crossbow and stomps along after the others.


Leaving the goblin that had run upstairs behind a thick barricade of furniture, the group opens the doors to the west.

Davorin opens the door to the west. This room is full to bursting with a motley collection of cots and other furniture cobbled from scraps of wood and cloth. The stench of rotting food is overpowering. Doors lead to the north.

This appears to be some sort of bunk room, but it is not presently inhabited.

Sara searches through the bunk room and peeks through the door at the other end of the room

Sara doesn't find anything of value in the bunk room.

Ilarien investigates the tunnel, and finds that it quickly ends in a cleverly concealed secret door to the outside.

The dwarf emerges from the tunnel and heads over to back up Sara. "It was a back door. Useful, that."

Sara finds the mirror image of the room they had previously found two goblins in. It appears to be a continuation of the guard room on the other side, but no guards are present.

Luralee, with some help from the entire group, finally manages to force the door.

Rows of wooden racks on the walls of this room hold a ramshackle collection of rusty blades, scraps of armor, and warped arrows.

A quick search reveals six small dogslicers and six small horsechoppers in the room.

Sara grimaces in disappointment at the poor bounty behind the locked door. "At least there weren't an army of goblins waiting for us...let's check the other areas now"


The door straight across the hallway is easily opened, revealing a set of stairs descending into the center of the dark tower. not applicable for this scenario.

And by "we" and "our" I mostly mean "you" and "your," because I've already played the second through fifth levels.
