From what I've seen from Starfinder so far, it looks really decent, I'm quite excited to try it. I absolutely love the Envoy pregen (I just chose - on a whim - a class name that sounded cool for R's game, and only then got my hand on the pregens. Really cool character).

So, what does Vayu have to pay for here... what I've searched online was not definitive. Can I just hire some Pathfinders to go in and get the blood!

Yeah right, they will see the sign and turn back immediately. We need a stone to flesh casting and you need to roll a DC15 fortitude to survive. Otherwise it is a lot more expensive.
Stone to flesh is 10*6*11 = 660 GP to get from a spellcaster in a settlement with at least 5000 inhabitants. I assume we can get to one in the downtime between scenarios.

Can't you find a caster willing to use a Stone to Flesh scroll? Zenyr could maybe do it if her UMD checks are high enough.

I think the easiest way would be to pay to have stone to flesh cast on you, which would be 780 gp according to the cost of spellcasting being (spell level [6] X minimum caster level [13] X 10 gp). We just need to be in a large city to guarantee we can find a level 13 spellcaster.
Otherwise, a scroll of the same spell is 1,650 gp.

I was having that same problem, I had close to 30K, and wasn’t sure what to get. I could always upgrade my armor or crossbow, but I’m not built around that. I should probably upgrade my cloak of resistance from the current +2 —> +4 for 12K?
I could always go scroll happy lol since my UMD is +26
