Guillaume of Egorian
|
Well, Guillaume says, unsure as to why Iago is using his blindfold, time to make some priests unhappy. We can't have this thing walking about.
He moves up, and tries to skewer the lizard on his guisarme.
Guisarme: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 232d4 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
GM Aerondor
|
Lasaraleen fires a bolt of ...well, fire.. at the creature, but it is small and agile, and the bolt misses. Iago husstles towards the comotion, while the kobolds scream in fear.
The fearsom Guillaume swings his mighty guisarme at the creature, cutting it badly.

Oberon mean mugs the nasty creature.
K. Arcana: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
"Why is this thing so plump? Did it just eat something? Or someone?"
Fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Oberon 5ft steps back and tosses a magic missile at the creature. As it sparks across it's face, Oberon loads his crossbow.
M.M.: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
D'lack Firestar
|
Thinking that enough people are between him and Stinky, D'lack decided to take a look at the creature.
Know. Arcana: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Stop attacking it ! It seems like a docile dog or a trained animal ! May be with sweet or good words someone could manage to keep it at bay ?
Says D'lack seeing the collar and the animal's attitude.
Stay ! he says with a strong voice to Stinky.
Skill ?: 1d20 ⇒ 20 Handle Animal untrained +3 or Intimidate +7
GM Aerondor
|
Handle animal is trained only, unfortunately
Oberon fires a missile of magic at the creature, while D'lack shouts at it. It looks scared.

"A docile dog? We'll see about that." Vengrim chuckles as he ignores D'lack's warning, striking at the creature with both of his swords.

Short sword: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d6 ⇒ 4

The creature easily avoids Vengrim's clumsy strike, and strikes back itself.

Iago approaches slowly but surely, hefting his axe with the manner of one who has already fought without seeing.
Double move, half speed. Yay.
Lasaraleen
|
Lasaraleen no longer has a clear shot to the beast, so forgoes any attempt at more fire. She moves up behind the melee.
I cannot see it clearly. You could try to subdue it if it will not play nice and we do not want to hurt it...which sounds crazy to me anyway
She calls forth and reaches to touch a minor blessing on Guillaume. (Guidance for +1 atk or save)
Sarenrae, guide our blades.
Guillaume of Egorian
|
I see what you're trying to do there, Guillaume says to D'lack. Back in Cheliax, a dentist taught me this move.
Guillaume lets out a mighty roar, heaves his blade and whacks it down on the lizard, aiming for the temple.
Nonlethal Raging Guided Power Attack: 1d20 + 7 - 4 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 7 - 4 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 162d4 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 14
GM Aerondor
|
will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
The creature, used to supernatual effects based on vision, seems to ignore D'lacks spray of colour.
Guillaume tries a difficult move, it almost doens't pay off, but the word of guidance from Las is sufficient and the reptile gets a terrific blow to the side of its head.
It drops to the ground. Maybe that colour spray was effective afterall?

Well, it sounded like a good thwack. Let me get through guys and I will take a look. My specialty is not 8 legged lizards though!
Lasaraleen will push through the warriors to get a better look at the creature and its medical condition.
heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 dang, maybe she should have been a octopedheptologist!
"It looks knocked out...but I cannot say how long. Best tie it up and put a bag or something over its head. That usually calms animals down. Although I am not sure why, since it would make me angry.
Guillaume of Egorian
|
Guillaume calms down a bit, breathing heavily. Between breaths he grumbles these... kobolds... should look... after their pets... with more care...
Iago Dalamitrin
|
"I just heard a loud noise. What's going on? And why is there talk of dentistry?" asks a confused Iago.
GM Aerondor
|
The creature is still, but still breathes.
"You in so much trouble if you hurt stinky" says the first kobold[/b]"
Lasaraleen
|
After the creature is bound and bagged, Lasaraleen will turn to address the kobold.
"Nay, we will not hurt it if it does not hurt us. Now. We need to see this priest as you call him. I have some theological discussions that have waited overly long already.
GM Aerondor
|
The kobolds point the way north. There a big set of impressive doors blocks the way forward.
Feel free to arrange yourself
D'lack Firestar
|
Is someone hurt ? Could be a good time to heal ourselve don't you think ?
As Stinky menace is out of the way, we could finish to explore the city ?
Says D'lack.
Lasaraleen
|
If several are injured, Lasaraleen can channel rather than using too many of folks' wand charges.
I did not realize too many were injured for more than a point or two .
Iago Dalamitrin
|
Iago, exceeded, takes off the blindfold only to be greeted by an unconscious lizard-thing. "Oooo-kay... So I guess we don't have to worry about Stinky then. I would therefore agree with wise D'lack. And maybe someone can give another look at the magical sword we found? Or maybe look into what that red goop happens to be?"
Lasaraleen
|
Lasaraleen will channel healing to top off the party's fighters once they are ready to open the doors.
"Sarenrae, heal our wounds...
channel: 1d6 ⇒ 6 nice...
GM Aerondor
|
Everyone feels much better. But you are still left in the "town" type area.
And I'm going to assume you moved away from Stinky to avoid healing him.
Iago Dalamitrin
|
Not that I'm paralyzed at the idea of a door, I just want to make sure we're all set with the town" portion. Iago is intrigued by some aspect but couldn't tell you anything about anything. D'lack also seemed interested in some aspects. So if we're good, or I don't hear from anyone (except our GM) soon, Iago will set those questions aside for later and open the door.
Lasaraleen
|
yes moved away from stinky.
GM Aerondor
|
Is the plan to go for the doors, or thoroughly investigate the 'town' for traps^H^H^H^Hloot.
Iago Dalamitrin
|
Trying to figure that out myself. I think people might be keeping to themselves to not metagame this. Either way, I'll be acting out my piece tomorrow :P
Lasaraleen
|
Hey guys, are we doing this? We can come back and check for artifacts later. We have the VC's sword maybe. What if he or his body is in the next room and needs our help?
I want to talk to that shaman if nothing else.
Lasaraleen is ready to go, but will wait for the guys if they want to do a quick search of the remaining unopened rooms.
Honestly fine with either, but trying to stay IC for her...more as the impatient explorer than the studious scholarly type.
D'lack Firestar
|
Ok.
A little bit disappointed D'Lack agrees to follow Lasaraleen's judgment.
Let's talk to the shaman. Who has the "weapon" against the Golden Guardian ? In case our negociation to recover the Venture Captain doesn't go well?
Lasaraleen
|
Good question. I do not recall who has it .
Oberon il Fata
|
Oberon can carry it. Can I just pocket it, or do I need to hold it in my hands?
"I say we head through the door. Let's find some more trouble."
A mischievous smile grows across Oberon's face.
Iago Dalamitrin
|
We'll come back to this later thinks Iago as he cracks his neck and moves up to the door. "I don't see why we need to look for trouble. In my experience, trouble finds you soon enough."
GM Aerondor
|
A huge block of intricately sculpted stone dominates the center of this vast temple chamber. To the east, a flight of stairs leads up to a walkway, which connects to the stone block’s surface.
Six pillars lie around the edges of the room, each decorated with carved patterns of scales and dragon heads. Several large paintings of dragons adorn the floor.
A group of kobolds is frantically praying to a massive golden statue as if they wanted it to wake up. The winged statue is standing atop a fifteen-foot-tall block of stone, its back against a wall decorated with many gold-leaf murals depicting historical scenes. Suddenly, the statue starts moving, flexing its wings, and roaring in a voice resembling a metallic hunting horn.
Lasaraleen
|
Lasaraleen steps back a pace, not expecting the large statue to move.
Well, that is a dreadful sight...one you do not see everyday! People turning to statues, now statues starting to move!
She considers and calls out...
Are you the Golden Guardian we have heard so much about?
GM Aerondor
|
I'm gong to give other folk a chance to post reactions and update where they are on the map.
D'lack Firestar
|
What the fu... !? Thinks D'lack seeing the statue moving.
Euh... what... Pea... PEACE ! We come in peace !
He repeats in draconic while trying to remember something about the statue and showing as a sign of good faith the two kobolds.
Know. Arcana ?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Guillaume of Egorian
|
Guillaume is amazed at the calmness of Lasaraleen, he himself unable to do anything but keep a firm hold on his Guisarme.
Oberon? he asks.
GM Aerondor
|
"There they are" screams the kobolds.
The golden Guardian turns to regard the Pathfinders.
"You should not have come here!" and flys down toward you, anger in its eyes.
it would be a knowledge(local) check to actually know more about this.
Lassaraleen: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Iago: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"You all might want to get up here. There's some real s!+@ going on, and he's kind of big!"
Lasaraleen
|
Lasaraleen takes the "weapon" from Oberon with a 'what am I supposed to do with it' look on her face.
Waiting for her turn...
Guillaume of Egorian
|
Break the seal, that's what the frog-face said! Guillaume shouts, impatiently holding his guisarme while moving to the front of the group.
Double move, for some reason I hadn't moved up.
