oh, should have told us in the recruitment thread this stuff is up, otherwise they are still waiting on you not realizing discussion and GD is up.

A Medium-Sized Animated Object |

Sorry for AWOL - my wife got laid off so we had a difficult couple of days. Back on track now.
Likewise, no problem. Just a game and all, real life takes priority. Incidentally, been there, and though I don't envy you the stress, it seems folks mostly wind up in a better spot than they started. I wish the two of you good luck moving forward!

This is the my first time playing this character so no XP. I have played this before.

He's also two rooms away and across a chasm, and so doesn't even know anything has occurred yet. I rolled initiative for everyone together to keep it all in one place, but Davius is not in combat right now.
I don't understand why Davius is so far away as I explicitly said he crossed the ledge and followed Philonius...

Uh, I don't got that much. I have... 20 silver. :) 50 gold is a lot, though. That's, like, 50,000 chickens, or 100 iron cauldrons, 25000 continuous feet of pole. Could someone cover that or talk him down?

GM Lamplighter |

So wait, we've left, just like that? Are we done here?
You've had 5 days to say something else or contribute to the discussion. Davius is doing what is called a "push" in PbP terms: trying to move the action along by asking other players direct questions and suggesting a course of action. Everyone has chosen to ignore him and this game for the past week or so.
Can we get back to all four players participating, or should we call the game?

I agree, and I think I'm ok with that if our GM will confirm there is nothing interesting about the statues and nothing else of note with the remains.

GM Lamplighter |

I understand that, Mordack, but I asked people to tell me if they wouldn't be around for a while. I understand that real life rears its head for people - it does for me, as well. But we basically have 1 player out ofo 4 actively playing, one more checking in every few days, and two ignoring the game for weeks at a time. That's just not fair to the folks who are willing to play - their characters are tied up until this game ends, due to circumstances beyond their control.
Given the difficulties many people are having right now, I'm going to call this game. Chronicle sheets are available in the link on the Campaign Info page (and at the top of the forum page). I'm sorry I wasn't able to sufficiently capture everyone's imagination to keep them involved in the game - it's the first game that has had this issue that I've been involved in, and so I'm not quite sure what went wrong. Good luck in your future Pathfinding careers, and I hope those of you who are new to the PbP format will take this result at the exception rather than the rule.
All the best!
Scott

All,
Sorry that my lack of posting resulted in the end of the game. I had not intended to go so long between posts but between work, school, and family I took on too much and ended up letting this slip.
Sorry for the prolonged absences. Please don't thing that it was anything you did that caused this. Like i said above RL has been tough. I think this game was the one that fell to the wayside because of my character and the fact that I'd just played this scenario.
I had (what I had thought) was a great a character concept for Noname, but I just couldn't figure out how to flesh him out and make him real for me. I had wanted to base him off of Okonkwo from the novel Things Fall Apart but making him fit into Pathfinder society was a lot harder than I had anticipated.
Sorry again.

Evan- I wonder if some of the difficulty was how *complete* Okonkwo's character arc was within his narrative and how cerebral his conflicts and development were? Umslopogaas from the Allen Quatermain series (an old pulp fiction adventure series; the titular character was played by Sean Connery in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) has a similar background but is a little (a lot) less complex and leaves more room for you to layer on some of your own touches. That kind of freedom might make him more playable.
Scott- I know what a push is. I wanted to back up a tiny bit out-of-game to ask a quick question. Regarding what you perceive as insufficient participation: Whatever, man.
My ID number is 159620-3.

GM Lamplighter |

Philonous - I'm updating the report now, and should have your Chronicle updated soon.
Regarding what I perceive as insufficient particiation, here's the very first line from the very first post on the recruitment thread:
Recruiting now! Before you express interest, please consider the following:
* I am looking for people who can, and will, post at least once a day. People who routinely coast for days at a time and only check in for combat will be dropped from the game.
Don't "whatever, man" me on this. I would have dropped two players, maybe three, had I followed this rule, which obviously kills the game.

Mordack - your character is showing up as non-Core in the reporting system. You should contact customer service to see about getting this fixed. Until then, I'm deleting you from the game report so it doesn't propagate further. Let me know when CS fixes it and I'll add you back ni.
It is a brand new character, thanks for bringing it up, I'll see what is wrong.
