The halfling responds to Ragnar's question. "Just follow the trail. As she is familiar with this building, she is sure to know the fastest way to her own office."
Feel free to cast buffs before heading on.
The party decides to follow suit. Double doors lead into this large, opulently decorated room, a holdover from the palace’s former use as home to Andoran’s now defunct aristocracy. Intricately woven rugs cover the hardwood floor, and plushly upholstered furniture graces two distinct sections of the room. Bookshelves line the walls of the eastern half, while a small wetbar and decorative tables fill the western portion.
The party enters, and as they begin to explore the room, they hear a woman's spellcasting begin!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finn: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Garn: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Snowball: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Jarlaxle: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Malakiah: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Rogar: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Ouidda: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
This is SLIDE 5.

Ouidda's Turn
A woman appears in the northern corner of the room. It is none other than Ouidda! She finishes her spellcasting, making her Invisibility wear off, and she tries to affect the party with a spell.
Need a Will save from Finn and Rogar.
If you failed the DC 19 Will save, you fall asleep.
She then takes a step back and starts speaking. "Pathfinders, you may have found me out, but you won't have me!"

Rogar Cordan |
Will save vs spell: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 2 = 22
"You are not going anywhere."
I note she is 35 feet away if I go around the table or couch. Could I hop over the couch as part of my move?
If not I'll double move next to her.
Finn Olthaleen |
Casting Mage Armor (from my bonded item) and Shield before entering. I'll say maybe 3 rounds down when combat starts?
Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Finn shrugs off the spell, and summons deep wells of anger to fuel his attack as he rushes forward to strike at Ouidda.
Rage, move, draw flail, and attack.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 2 = 18
Damage: 1d10 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 3 = 16
Garn Harlardorn |
GM, how many rounds of buff would you allow before we enter combat? My plan is for Garn to pass his wand of mage armor for someone to cast on Snowball and himself, cast barkskin on Snowball and himself, then wildshape. Will hold posting first until I get the greenlight.
GM Andrew |
Rogar grabs Ouidda. "Get your hands off of me!"
Jarlaxle moves up.
Finn attacks her in a rage, striking her hard. "Oof!"
@Garn: Several rounds are OK. You basically got to choose when to enter the room.

Malakiah Uzamar |
Feel free to cast buffs before heading on.
Malakiah uses the power of his staff and turns himself invisible.
He uses the bonded object ability (once per day to cast any one spell that the wizard has in his spellbook and is capable of casting, even if the spell is not prepared) to cast invisibility.
Round 1
Malakiah moves more inside the house, then he casts create pit (Ref DC 18) on Ouidda's feet.
Malakiah Uzamar |
Create Pit isn't Core. You got it from a chronicle? And the area is 10x10 not 5x5.
My mistake. I tought that it was a Core spell. In this case, Malakiah casts Web (Reflex DC 18). Thank you for the warning.
Rogar Cordan |
Reflex save vs 20ft radius Web: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 2 = 17
I am now grappling her and being grappled by the Web. In the future try not to catch your allies in spells with negative effects.

I am now grappling her and being grappled by the Web. In the future try not to catch your allies in spells with negative effects.
Well, the turn order says that Malakiah acts BEFORE Rogar, so I think you will not be catched, since the spell effect occurs First. Or am I wrong, @GM Andrew?
Jarlaxle Baenre |
Of course, if Malakiah centres the web in the top left-hand corner of the map, it will actually catch Ouidda, and none of us.
That would be the most elegant way to handle it, no?
(Especially since Web needs to be anchored by two opposing surfaces (as per the spell description), or it simply collapses.)
_Snowball_ |
Some retcon due to the web. Assuming that the web goes off before Snowball and Garn attacks, and added the penalty accordingly. Please remove if the web comes on after.
Snowball, with the signal of Garn in his dinosaur form, rushes forward through the web, and bites down on the woman.

Malakiah webs the area.
Ouidda Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
She is not caught up!
Garn and Snowball tag-team her and both hit. She is not tripped, however she looks gravely wounded nonetheless.

GM Andrew |
Upon investigating Ouidda's room, you find with Amenopheus, who says he was held prisoner in Ouidda’s quarters after she found out he was investigating her operation as a double agent within the Shadow Lodge. He explains that he had to appear to be a traitor against the Decemvirate both to convince Ouidda of his loyalty to the Shadow Lodge, but also to spur the Ten into action and expose the Society’s vulnerability to highranking traitors. He apologizes to the party, especially Malakiah and Finn (due to faction ties), and thanks them for remaining true to the Ruby Prince’s cause despite his apparent betrayal.
With the Spider’s identity revealed, her vast crime syndicate falls apart, and the Andoren authorities use the information gathered by the party to locate and arrest her associates throughout the city. The Decemvirate likewise sends crack teams of Pathfinders to locations throughout the Inner Sea to put an end to her poisonous influence over the minds and motivations of her fellow Shadow Lodge agents.
The end!
I will have chronicle sheets out soon.
Unfortunately, with me being out of my home country, I'm going to have a take a breather from GMing on PbP. It takes a bit more time to do than playing.
Thanks for playing everyone!
