Ayo sees an opportunity to surround the dwarf, stepping up to swing at her.

Smiley looks uncharacteristically grim, glancing at the staggering Rumble and the unconscious Nigel. He shoots an annoyed look at Ayo, but is unwilling to bicker in front of an enemy.

I remember when me an' my brothers fought among ourselves. All we did was get all of us in trouble with Ma and Pa.

Fine, punk. He spits on the ground at the halfling's feet. He's all yours, Ayo.

He turns his back on them and moves to help Rumble and Nigel.

Does the wand have enough charges to help both? My CLW potion is available, but the wand is cheaper and I'll chip in for charges use at the end.

Ahh well, I'll do the close here

With the Halfling surrendered, the group mays their damp way out into the plaza.

For the moment the rain seems to have stopped. The crowd all around drops into a quiet hush.

On the far side you see people clear a path from one of the main roads towards the fearsome pit and Starstone Cathedral.

A pillar of sunlight breaks through illuminating a knight as he talks his horse from a walk to a trod.

A sigh goes through the crowd and the knights horse breaks into a canter and then breaks into a full gallop.

What a spectacle. The knights pennon flies at the end of his lance and the horse is impeccably groomed. Like a bolt of molten silver and steel he hurls himself forward. The charger moving now at an almost supernatural pace leaps from the edge of the pit...

But the cobblestones are slippery from the rain and the perfect take off is ...not.

With a cry the knight and horse hurtle through the air, the crowd willing them onwards. But the slip is too much to recover from. The tip of the lance touches the land of the cathedral stands upon, the rest of knight and charger crash into the ragged edge of the pit three meters down and at a high speed.

They rapidly plummet from sight.
