Qiarah begins to warm to you ask you continue to speak. She looks down at the table after Keelee speaks and thinks for a long moment. She looks up and nods, "Perhaps you are right. I did not consider how my own actions might affect the very people I wanted to help. This place--with its connection to the elemental planes--made my research and transmutations easier, but... yes, I am making use of their sacred site without their permission or approval."

She directs a curt nod toward the ceiling where Iyasset hovers. She then lays two wands down on the table and turns on her heel. She walks out the tunnel in the back of the chamber without another word. Her dogs follow her dutifully.

"That was certainly bloodless," Iyasset congratulates you. "You have completed all of the challenges, proving you to be the true prophets. I will take you to the leader of our tribe when you are ready."

"Your wisdom will guide you far, Qiarah. Good luck on your journey of redemption." Corona bows as she leaves.

Corona observes the two wands. "The potion was a potion of levitate, by the way. Now, for these wands..."

Theophilus's eyebrows shoot up his long forehead as Qirah departs,

Hey Keelee, you ever consider subcontracting out that silver tongue? I could definitely use someone like you to help crack some stubborn eggs in my uh... side business.

Igor looks insulted by the suggestion that his Master would have anything to do with someone like Flink.

A steep staircase leads to open air again, where the walls of the trench quickly diminish in height, giving a clear view of the desert beyond the Sandflow Source.

A burst of fire at the edge of the trench flares up into several roughly humanoid shapes, all of which begin advancing toward the site’s entrance. A faint rumble of earth joins the elementals, and then a massive, stout woman made of stone appears.

“The Ainsi continue to cause us trouble,” she says in a slow grumble. “And now, you ally with these flesh-things. Do you really believe them to be the prophets?”

Slowly, her rocky face shifts into a half-smile. “Prophet or not, the Goanron Triumvirate would have a use for you. Join us, and we will give you rewards that make the offerings of the Ainsi pale in comparison. The Ainsi are flighty and careless. The only certainty with the Ainsi is their tendency toward violence and treachery. Whatever they’ve promised you, they would just as soon throw you off a cliff and steal from your corpse.”

"Do not believe the Goanron lies," Iyasset says, indignant. "They have no idea where Jamilia has gone."

"We do! The woman met with our tribe's leader and told us of your coming. She tried to convince us that you were dangerous and needed to be slain, but we did not believe her," the earth elemental counters.

They believe their own lies. It is always difficult to tell who is right and who is wrong.

"We know that the Pathfinders care about history, and we believe that you would agree that preserving the past without repeating the mistakes of the past is the proper way to go about studying the land around Tumen. Not like the Ainsi, who would likely enslave all who do not share their affinity with the wind."

"Lies!" Iyasset retorts angrily. "These men and women--and plant--are the prophets. They will aid the Ainsi in rebuilding the lost city of Tumen and bring great glory to the desert. Make way for the prophets or we will destroy you!"

The earth elemental shakes her head. "Leave our misguided brother and join with us, Pathfinders."

Thornberry thinks on it.

"A bit blunt, but I must agree. Iyasset has been extremely helpful in getting us here to find Jamilia. I will continue to place my trust in him for now. It seems like you will never cooperate with him, at least in the short term. Please, leave us in peace."

"Unfortunately, we cannot let Iyasset leave with you," the earth elemental says with regret, even as the fire elementals begin to burn brighter in anticipation of a fight.

"The prophets have spoken!" Iyasset shouts as he transforms into a thirty foot tall whirlwind. The sand begins to swirl around the tornado as it rushes toward one of the smaller fire elementals. By the time Iyasset has engulfed the Goanron elemental, the dust cloud prevents you from seeing what is happening inside.

Yeah, there was clearly too much crazy around here for anything else to happen.

Theophilus steps forward and sends his knife whisking towards the still visible fire elemental.

The small elemental is pierced through. The flame dims considerably, but it moves swiftly to engage the one who injured it. It lashes a blazing arm across Theophilus. The other elemental emerges from the dust devil and runs across the box canyon.

The earth elemental steps forward and challenges Brutus, "You chose the wrong side. Now you will be crusted under the avalanche of right! Your flesh will bruise and your bones will snap!" She frowns as the brawler seems unphased by her attempt to intimidate him.

As the earthy creature has not raised her arms against the party, Corona flatly refuses to attack her. Instead, Corona places her hand on Brutus's shoulder. "Use my insight to guide your hand. Remember what I said about laying your hands on a fire elemental."

Diviner's Fortune - When you activate this school power, you can touch any creature as a standard action to give it an insight bonus on all of its attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws equal to +1 for 1 round.

She draws her scimitar.

Theophilus jerks back from the elemental as it burns through his force ward, but barely keeps his precious skin from the flames.

Brutus runs straight ahead toward Elsharon, ignoring the fire elemental, and takes a swing with his hand axe.

Keelee steps forward drawing her aldori dueling sword and striking at the blue flamed fire elemental, "As prophet, I knew this would end in a fight."

Thornberry casts Thorn Javelin on Sir Leshington and he obliges by tossing one at the free fire elemental

The blue flamed elemental collapses into a pool of fading flames after it is struck by Keelee's blade. Leshington's thorn falls short of the reddish elemental, but Theophilus' telekinetic blast strikes a solid blow. The elemental's flames dim considerably as a result of his blast.

Iyasset rushes across Brutus and Elsharon, buffeting them all briefly with powerful winds, and then consumes the remaining fire elemental in a cloud of dust. The wind howls in frustration as once again its prey escapes to flank Brutus as he charges forward.

Brutus lands a solid blow against the earth elemental's rocky hide. The elemental looks impressed the moment before she punches Brutus in the face.

"That was me being gentle, Pathfinder," Elsharon warns.

Corona chants to Sarenrae, and some of her hand glows with positive energy. She keeps her scimitar handy and rushes through the dust cloud, arriving at Brutus's side.

She reaches out to touch him. "Please try to subdue rather than kill outright, if you can. We are engaged in an act of self-defense, and it is important someone is able to explain this to the Goanron Triumvirate."

Converting my cleric spell to Cure Light Wounds and then touching Brutus with it.

Oh, I meant to bold Theophilus.

Igor rushes forward and receives a solid backhand blow to the head for his trouble. The force of the blow dazzles him and the Promethean's swing is far to short to even connect. Meanwhile, Corona advances and heals Brutus' injury, which causes the earth elemental to frown slightly. The frown melts away in amusement as Brutus bruises his own knuckles on the elemental's dense form.

Keelee ends the second elemental with a lightning quick slash. In reaction to the end of the fire elementals, Iyasset resumes his true form. The dust settles down as the tornado shrinks down and coalesces into a humanoid form. He flies through the air and circles around to flank the remaining Goanron elemental.

"Have it your way," Elsharon scoffs and punches Brutus in his face, breaking the man's nose.

Corona attempts to escape the melee but lets her guard down. This proves to be a near-fatal error as the earth elemental swats her down hard into the sand. The samsaran does not move after that.

He gives a sudden flick of his wrist and a small metal cudgel wings its way over to crack twice against Elsharon's stony hide.

Drawing her wand, Keelee shifts 5ft and tries to use it on Corona. Unfortunaly it she fails to activate it.

One of Theophilus' blasts manages to scratch the earth elemental's hide while Brutus fails to make an impression. Thornberry restores some of the brawler's strength. Leshington strikes the elemental with the thorn, but it simply snaps in half and falls into the sand.

Scraps hovers over the elemental and drops a sack full of tar onto her. The tar hardens around the elemental, congealing heavily around her legs. "This is not how you bind and elemental," she confidently mocks the adventurers, though her movements are clearly impaired by the heavy coating of tar.

Igor swings at the air.

Iyasset rises above the earth elemental and lashes out with a cyclonic strike that scours the stone-like hide. "Ha! Elsharon, your minions are dead, our prophets bear your blows like the wind bears a falling leaf. The Goanron will fail."

Elsharon turns around and strikes at the air elemental with a heavy fist, tearing through Iyasset's cloud-like form. "I will deal with you in time. Take this as a taste of what is to come."

Brutus takes a potion of cute light wounds out of his pack and hands it to Kelee.

”Someone please make her drink this.”, nodding toward Cel.

I think that’s two move actions, so that’s my round. I believe you have my HP wrong and may have missed Cel’s 4 point channel, but I’ll take 4 more off my total if you don’t agree.

Corona continues to bleed.

Cel Corona was smashed into oblivion before she could channel (she's going to live--I think--so I can make jokes about it now, right?)

Of course, I say that before I roll the Attack of Opportunity for 'Retrieving a Stored Item'. Also note that Keelee's hands are currently full, so she will need a Free action to drop one of the two things she is holding. I am assuming that you all still want to go through with that plan in the Pathfinder spirit of Cooperation.

As a side note I also have a Wand of Cure Light Wounds. I was KOed before I could channel, so no 4 hp for you.

Understood. I expected the AoO, though I just assumed Kelee had a free hand. I debated on giving it to Thornberry, but realized she had a wand as well.

Obviously there's people better equipped to heal her than me, but Brutus can tell she's hurt real bad and is prioritizing that over the enemy, or his own safety for that matter.

Theophilus keeps his mace hammering away at the rogue elemental. Y'know if I'd wanted to become a miner, I could've just stayed home, and saved a lot of trouble. And died in a cave in or something...

Brutus fishes at his belt to draw out a vial of restorative elixir. The earth elemental notices his distraction and punches him in the side of the head, causing the brawler's left ear to start bleeding. However, Brutus is made of sturdy stuff and manages to not drop the vial and hands it toward Keelee.

Theophilus sends a forceful blast into Elsharon. The blow cracks off a significant portion of the right side of her face. She slowly turns a baleful gaze toward him.

"Ekthiting ithn't it?" Igor he says to her before dabbing at her with his cuff. "Oh, what happened to Corona?"
