More than 400 years have transpired since the Pathfinder Society began in a humble tavern that has quietly weathered the centuries without incident. When a routine errand there uncovers a clue left behind by one of the founding Pathfinders, it’s up to the PCs to solve a puzzle whose pieces are scattered across Absalom—and whose prize dates back to the Society’s darkest years.

Henry, technically you will go before me in the initiative order, I think if you 5 foot forward, I'd lose flanking. Though with back-to-back nat 20s, I don't think that makes any difference.

I'm not sure I calculated damage perfectly, but if that didn't kill him outright, it must have put him down. Just waiting on Niles to do his thing.

Henry steps over Silas' unconscious form and sinks his rapier into the Shoanti's chest. He looks at Henry in surprise before slowing sinking to his knees and falling face-down on the floor.

Henry looked angrily at the robed man but hold the killing blow, after all in war prisoners is a valuable ressource.

Backing Lyoto in his attempt to negotiate the surrender of the last standing ennemy he added

Drop your weapon and stop healing your comrades and not us or you will be the next to fall.

The half-orc drops his club and raises his hands in surrender, casting a foul look at his robed companion.

Assuming you accept their surrender, tie them up and search them...

The robed man thanks you profusely and offers to heal your companions with what strength he has left. The half-orc spits at this, but doesn't fight back. 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5 - everyone is healed by this, including the two fallen warriors which I assume you have also tied up in preparation for this.

Apparently, the Consortium has been following the Society's efforts for some time, and decided to let you do the work and them claim the reward at the end.

In terms of gear, the barbarian has a great club, a potion of cure light wounds. and a thunderstone. The swordsman has 2 potions as well as his weapon. The half-orc has a scroll of command as well as a pet rat who hides in his pocket. Finally, the robed man has a potion as well as a scroll of [i]sanctuary[i/i].

Hey Silas, sorry we didn't get to help you sooner, but you were holding your own four vs. one pretty well. Lyoto says to Silas. We found a secret passageway filled with documents that look real important to the Pathfinder Society. We're just going to gather them up then get out of here.

Lyoto then can't help but start smiling. He won't boast too much the more experienced members of the team, but his confidence in his ability to be a Pathfinder is soaring.

So... Lyoto says turning to the other members of the party, trying to contain his pride. do you guys think I've got what it takes to be a pathfinder?

Crunch. Silas's failure to raise his shield in time costs him dearly, and the last thing he sees before his world goes dark is the massive club right between his eyes. Next thing he knows he's on the ground with Fargrim kneeling over him, pouring healing magic into his body. He can't recall the last time he had such a beautiful savior. His scaled cheeks tinge with pink as he struggles to get up. His head still swimming, the sounds of battle around him blur together. By the time his head clears, two of the attackers are lying on the ground, bleeding, and the others have surrenderd. As you exit the Shrine, you gather that Sir Reinhardt did not succeed in his attempt to ascend to godhead. Apparently, he tried to ride his horse across the chasm, trusting to his faith to carry him across. While his faith was sure, his mount's was not, and the horse stopped short at the edged of the chasm, flinging Sir Reinhardt down to his doom. The debate amongst the crowd is whether his desired portfolio was "blind faith", or if he desired to be the god of either gravity or stubborn horses.

The four prisoners are left with the guards, and after giving your statements you return to the Grand Lodge and find Drandle Dreng in his office, smiling. "So, did you find my wine?" he says, a twinkle in his eye.

Lyoto gives a quick recap of the events that transpired at Fembrik's house and then at the Shrine to Dreng and what they've found.

Sorry Captain, I fear that the year you hope to drink is lost for ever.
But on the bright side, as my comrade said, we found old documents, in Azlanti, collected by Eylysia, a Pathfinder who seemed to not have remembered the element "Report" in our moto.

Except for one last clue, I think we have found all her stash. May be the last one is unimportant but the document we found are under some cypher and the key to them could be in the tomb we have not yet looked upon.

"Well DONE, my friends!" Dreng beams. "How fortuitous that the bottle I sent you for had such an unknown but interesting secret!" He begins to look at the papers, then tears himself away.

"These will takes some work to fully decipher," he says, stating the obvious. "I'll get some of our Azlanti specialists on them right away. You'd best go and finish up your last clue. No rush, though - you can go in the morning if you've had enough rain for the one day."

Yes, it was a busy day ! I need to see my wounds tended and catch some sleep also.
I propose we get up early and be ready at 8 to finish this mission.

The night passes uneventfully and you arise refreshed. Heading to the location of Arkath's tomb, you find yourself at the gates of an old cemetery tended by the faithful of Abadar. Although the day has dawned clear, it is chilly, and the ground is still wet from yesterday's deluge, so not many visitors are about. With little effort, you locate the tomb of Arkath the Stonemason, who claimed he would take his secrets to the grave with him.

The tomb itself is a small stone building, well-carved with gargoyles and grotesques in the old Chelaxian style. Over the door as the symbol of a master mason, as well as other esoteric and mystical (though non-magical) symbols. The door is of stone, and seems to rely on weight and a close-fitting joint to keep it in place; no lock is apparent.
