Taklinn Ungart

I don't really have any ranged attacks on this character, and hate to waste a spell for this shooting gallery.
Taklinn delays again, waiting to see the outcome of this madness.

Doodle's magic missile plinks into the injured goblin. (blue)
The goblin cleric begins casting, and Taerel fires a spell attempting to disrupt her. She pushes through the damage and gets her spell off, however.

The ranged battle continues in earnest as the heroes and goblins face off on opposing side of the portcullis.
Again, a reminder that if you're not shooting from adjacent to the portcullis, your targets get +2 AC cover bonus.
Varian throws acid (I'll assume at the injured goblin), while Doodle releases magic from her wand. Together, they critically injure the first goblin.
(One more shot and he's toast.)
Renedar throws a shuriken with more force than such a tiny weapon typically sees, and the throwing star buries itself into the chest of the gray armored goblin.
The goblins retaliate. The woman in the back yells something in a guttural language
The two in front aim for the closest target: Renedar. The goblin in gray takes one last shot with his bow before stowing it, striking Renedar in the arm (2 dmg), while the one in blue fires, misses, and grumbles something negative in reply.

The two goblins in the rear continue firing as well, doing their best to aim over the heads of their fellow. Another arrow catches Renedar. (4 dmg) After firing, the uglier of the two stows his bow as well.

Varian and Doodle continue firing, and drop the weakest goblin.
Taklinn calls on the might of his god, while Taerel and Mercutio continue to have difficulty hitting the armored goblins.
Str: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11
Str(aid): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18
Two of the goblins step up and try to lift the portcullis, while the third goblin warrior remains in the rear firing. The gate inches up slowly, then is too much for their small frames. They devolve to cursing each other in goblin. The robed female goblin in back yells at them to put their measly backs into it as her crossbow bolt goes into the ceiling.

Renedar singlehandedly downs a goblin, while Taerel and Mercutio combine to drop another. Doodle assists, and soon all that is left is the robed woman in the back. Her weasel familiar scurries under her robes, and she flees out of sight.
Out of combat.

There is little else to find in the now empty rooms of the old temple/prison. You eventually raise the portcullises, and find a small goblin warren in the back room, separated from the civilized folk near the front.
Its a bit of an anti-climactic dungeon crawl, but you're through!
Of most interest are the coded messages you discovered in the office. You turn those in to your Venture Captain, but later learn through side channels that without the decryption key the messages are mostly useless gibberish.
You are commended for your work clearing out the cancer of the Shadow Lodge in Kaer Maga, but the praise feels half-hearted as there is still much work to do to restore the good name of the Pathfinder Society, even in a city as diverse and inclusive as The City of Strangers.
End of scenario. Well done, all!
