DM Bloodgargler |

"Hey chief... I'm alright here."
He glances at Alynthar, then nods toward the device.
The "chief" is midsentence when Alynthar releases the button.
"-to reach you for five minutes... ah well. Think Gribbel and Spench flew the coop... thought you might've tried the same thing. Hurry up there... Get this last bot rolling, well need to switch out the armaments according to our ammo stores. Out."
int check and believable bluff

DM Bloodgargler |

Samperson eyes dart to Draught with her comment, he the rolls his eyes... "..androids..."
He then answers Alynthar, though he looks to Tamas and Tomin often as he speaks... "Had near three-hundred... then we had a mutiny. Sargent Kurstein and his inner circle turned colder than wasteland android. No offense.... It was rough... couldn't tell you how many died.. some might've gotten away."
"Just the five security guarding the area there. Storeroom, Barracks, and Level One Armory all together there. Alector, my coworker, will prob'ly be in the storeroom. Most everybody else is in the cache - the metal sphere."
"We had engineers and scientists working - those who didn't run off, working in the conference room, but Kurstein's guys rounded them up, and took them into the cache.. maybe seven or eight hours ago?"

Tomin Mesor |

sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 13
"This mess shouldn't be too bad to clean up after all."
"Let's move him to a safer room like he asked, and get this over with. Hell, maybe if he is good, we'll even help him back to town alive."

Alynthar the Forgotten |

Alynthar, who was just about to drive the dagger home, looks confused. "Why would we do that? He's an enemy. We should kill him and be done with it."

Draught |

"I've been told that keeping enemies alive can be beneficial sometimes. Besides as a source of information, there was something about the 'sanctity of life'. Such words have no meaning to me, but perhaps Tomin is speaking of that concept."

DM Bloodgargler |

His eyes go wide with Alynthars comments. After Draught's two cents, he blurts out, "How'm'I an enemy? I'm just spraying bugs!"
He takes a few deep breaths... "Alright. What are you after here? I mean there's some nasty stuff here, and some nasty people... but there are some good people here too... civilians."
"I admit... I thought about crackin you and getting away until the thugs in charge got here, but not cuz I'm in with them. They are mean S-O-Bs, but I don't know you... ".. the devil you know.." You know?"

Tomin Mesor |

"Look, everyone's just trying to stay alive here in this s!%*hole of a world. He's been pretty forthcoming so far, I'm sure he doesn't want to get himself killed for telling us lies."
"If he is lying, we can each take turns cutting on him when we get back. After we deal with those in the facility."
If noone dissents, Tomin will take him to the other "safe" room and proceed to use his entire 50' rope to completely hog tie the man, gag included.
Just before he places the gag, he adds:
"Is there anything else you want to add? I'm gonna tie you up so that you wont be escaping. If we die, you starve. It's in your best interest that we get back here safely."
I could roll an intimidate to scare the man, but that is not really my intent. Tomin is just trying to point out some very obvious facts to the man, and let the truth scare him."

DM Bloodgargler |

Samperson nods - as appreciative as someone being bound gagged and abandoned could be... "I understand. There are two functional combat robots. One is the Esprit model... light armor, light weapons. The Triton is heavier, but needs to lock down to fire. Don't let it have line of sight when it lowers its stabilizers - a tripod-looking thing. And.. don't believe anything Corporal Tharvess says. He is a twisted conniving creep... worst of the level one security team, by far. Lanky, grey hair."
He takes another deep breath "Ok... ready.", and opens his mouth for the gag.

DM Bloodgargler |

You leave Samperson heavily bound, and return to the main hall - turning right toward the "high security" area. You soon come to the next side hall of office suites. The lights are off down this hall, you see nothing out of the ordinary within the ambient light coming from the light panels in the main hall.
You soon see a closed door blocking your progress along the main hallway. It is of the same style as what you'd seen in the supply room. Painted metal door with a one foot window at eye level.

DM Bloodgargler |

You hear voices right away .. from a doorway to a room (By the map you've been given, it is the barracks.)
"Naw... I fold.."
"You fold? Are you serious?! Again!?"
You also see a man in a blue and white jumpsuit fiddling with a metal box on the wall.. maybe 100 feet away.
Tomin is first to see the men seated around a table in the barracks. It is clear you will be spotted soon.
Draught: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Ta'mas: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Tomin: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
NPCs: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Alynthar the Forgotten |

Alynthar will move to M10, and order his skeleton to L11.
stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
skeleton's stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

DM Bloodgargler |

Round 1 cont'd
The man in the blue and white jumpsuit looks over, and immediately puts his hands up... then waves at the wrist.
You hear chairs slide on the floor, and one knocked back as the guards stand - turning to the door.
Tomin and Alynthar see the nearest guard dash over to the left side of the room, and out of sight. The other two flip their game table on its side, and draw their pistols.
The guard out of sight can be heard on his comm device.
"Sir. We're pinned down in the barracks - they came around west bend."
"--What?!"
"Wait a minute.. Sir, camera's showing you in west bend... you're in East, right?"
"--Dammit... Alektor switched the feeds!" He continues speaking but lowers his voice.
Now up: Draught, Ta'mas, Tomin

Draught |

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Draught does not hear any more of the conversation, but that doesn't bother her. Seeing guns pointed at her, she will stay outside the doorway for partial cover, and open fire at guard F16.
corrosive pistol: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 1 = 21
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6 plus acid: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Alynthar the Forgotten |

Methinks you misunderstood me. When I waited, I was delaying my move for the round, not forgoing it entirely. It doesn't make much of a difference, since all I'd do this round is have skellie take a shot, but still...

DM Bloodgargler |

Draught's shot tags one in the shoulder. "Ack! Heads up.. they're packing tech arms."
Alynthar's skeletal armed escort fires a shot into the other.
As Tomin charges into the room, the two taking cover behind the overturned table, fire their pistols...
(For the two guards, Tomin's touch AC 12+4+2 = 18 for the round)
skeleton vs Touch with improved partial cover though soft cover: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 4 = 18
1d8 ⇒ 6
readied pistol vs Touch with partial cover: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 1 = 20
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
readied pistol vs Touch with partial cover: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8
Tomin hit for 5, Guard 2(7damage), Guard 3(6 damage)
Alynthar up (delayed 1st round or Round 2 and remain top of initiative... up to you)

DM Bloodgargler |

Round 2 (cont'd)
Tomin sees the other guard is by a metal desk with four video screens displaying sections of hallways. He balls his fists, and knocks them together... his gauntlets make a brief whirring sound - as if powering up. The guard then assumes a boxer stance, and motions for Tomin to approach.
The man in the blue and white jumpsuit (presumably Alektor) keeps his hands raised.. He gives a thumbs up, and a nod.
Skellie up, then Draught, Ta'mas, Tomin and two guards who'd readied actions.
(no change from last map)

Alynthar the Forgotten |

Sorry, guys. Been extremely busy. Btw, I had to look up the stats for a revolver in another game. The SRD says that when you fire a revolver, it automatically shifts to the next cartridge, no move required. Why then are you saying it's a move action to reload? I'll go with it for this round, 'cause you're the boss, but I'd at least like to know what I'm misunderstanding.
Skellie will reload, then fire again.
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5

Ta'mas Dune-Runner |

Skeleton's on our team, Draught...
Ta'mas finally sees a target, and charges to F15 to attack the adjacent enemy.
Charge to hit, PA, raging: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 2 + 2 - 1 = 25
Damage: 2d6 + 4 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 + 3 + 3 = 14
