Furthermore, I looked at the statblocks again and I think I agree. The tier 1-2 and 4-5 creature for this fight are both called "Animated Statues" but the 1-2 is explicitly an Animated Object where as the 4-5 is a Graven Guardian (which I don't think would radiate magic. Could be wrong there too though!). I will remember this for the future.
Thank you for the input! Sorry about that Callah!

No worries! Also I'm out of time and must head to work so please feel free to bot Callah as needed and I'll catch up later this evening :)

![]() |

I'm headed out of town tomorrow (Sat) for a conference and won't be back until Monday. Uncertain posting schedule during that time, so bot away, please.

![]() |

Safe travels, Etienne!
And speaking of travel, I'm also off to a work training thing in New York State Sunday the 15th and will be gone through Friday the 20th. I'll have my laptop with me but I have no idea what my posting availability will be - definitely only in the evenings, if that. To be on the safe side, please go ahead and bot Callah as needed and if I have a chance to check in and post during my trip I'll do so. Otherwise, I'll catch up properly when I get home Friday.
Also, what time I do have I'll be giving to my GMed games first so if you happen to see posts from GM Ladile elsewhere but nothing here, that'll be why. Hopefully that'll avoid any 'CALLAH I SEE U POSTIN Y U NO POST FOR ECHOES!?!??' confusion :)

GM Bearington |

Thanks :D I believe that there are 2 conventions every year and they are heavily advertised in the Flaxseed Lodge. When there aren't any conventions going, there is almost one game per day starting up! Right now though, almost all the typical GM's are running OutPost games, but more will be posted as those games finish up!

![]() |

Enjoy the travelling, Bristor and Lady Ladile! I hope it's enjoyable and not too tiring. As for conventions, I have nothing to add that GM Bearington hasn't already said.

GM Bearington |

On the topic of the Flaxseed, have you all dotted into that thread? It is much easier to keep up with it and find games when you have.
Flaxseed Gameplay Thread where you should post to put the Lodge into your campaign tab.
Flaxseed Recruitment Thread where you should post to say you are new to PbP (if you are) and looking for a game. I've seen several GM's specifically look for those new to PbP or PFS into their games to spread the love.

GM Bearington |

Even if you have no preparatory actions to take, please post either here or in discussion so I know everyone has had a chance to prepare based on the information Erhun and Etienne have provided before climbing up to the next room! I'll give this another couple of hours before moving us up the stairwell.

![]() |

Arrius is good to go.

GM Bearington |

A couple of questions before resolving turns:
Erhun/Etienne - I've reviewed as much information as I can on lending rerolls and there isn't an official stance on it, so I am allowing it. What is clear, however, is that each PC gets a single reroll, so if Erhun has their own reroll, they might as well use it themselves.
Callah - Are you opting to bull rush the maximum distance or just 5ft?

![]() |

We'll go with maximum distance!

![]() |

I don't have a reroll, and as I failed the two saves, it wont change a thing if I made one out of two, I suppose.
it would be better for you to keep your own reroll, you might need it.

GM Bearington |

I've consulted a couple of GM's and we came to the conclusion that there is no reason for players/PC's to not know what they are saving against. Erhun, the first save is vs the Disease, the second is vs Paralysis. If you do decide to take Etienne up on his offer, make sure you are clear which one you are rerolling.
EDIT: Not making the disease is a long term problem that could be fixed by spending PP. Not making the paralysis could straight kill you. It is your choice whether you take that reroll or not, but I would recommend taking it. Etienne still has the option to run away.

![]() |

Nothing official, but I've found this about Saving finale which seems to indicate immediate action takes place before the whatever I failed comes into effect?
http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2qrwi?selfish-Bards-using-Saving-Finale-Gallant

GM Bearington |

I think the way you've used it sounds great to me! It wouldn't make sense for the spell to function after the effect has taken place (that's what remove paralysis or another fix it spell is for). I understand what some of the other users are arguing about, but, frankly, I think they are just wrong.
Care to use a PFS reroll on your reroll? :)

![]() |

I don't think I have a pfs reroll. I'll have to deal with the outcome. But thanks nonetheless!

GM Bearington |

LOOK AT ALL THE REROLLS! THEY'RE FALLING OUT OF THE SKY!
Callah, unfortunately the rolls would have happened before your turn (in response to the ghoul's attacks) and Atronia would be paralyzed. However, Erhun looks shockingly limber by comparison...

![]() |

Alas, I already used that power on Erhun earlier, so um....hmm...shall I post an alternate action then?

GM Bearington |

You can change your action if you like, this is something that would have been easier to communicate/resolve at a table. I'm not going to punish you for the limitations of the PbP medium :P

GM Bearington |

Atronia, do you have any "purely mental actions" to take? If not, I'll still bold you but then it isn't crucial for you to post during the round.

![]() |

I don't. So yeah, you can skip me until I'm back to normal. I'll keep checking in and post if I have ideas like I did just a little earlier. :)

GM Bearington |

Erhun, you may or may not need that acrobatics roll, but it depends on where you'd like to move your character! Would you move your token on the slideshow please? For your readied action, your current wording doesn't seem to consider if the ghoul doesn't have to move. Depending on where you end up moving your token, you may not even need to ready!
Also, the damage total for the ghoul is 26. That got dropped off part way through editing somehow, sorry about that!

![]() |

sorry, I started to post yesterday, got caught up in work, and didn't remember to move.
Erhun will shield the others with his own body, disregarding his safety (moved on the map)
If the ghoul doesnt attack.. Erhun will have to wait next round

GM Bearington |

Since you've slain that ghoul, I can talk about it with y'all! :D
That was a ghoul who had three levels in sorcerer. The DC for the disease/paralysis was 15 (higher than a normal ghoul) and it had 42 HP. Because of CR math, that was only a CR 3 encounter.

![]() |

Can we assume Atronia's paralysis will fade shortly?

![]() |

Ghouls are still pretty nasty foes, even if you know what to expect and have a way or two to counteract or adjust for the paralysis :O
Also, apologies for the silence over the last couple of days, haven't felt well.

GM Bearington |

Yes, within a matter of seconds her paralysis would have dropped.

GM Bearington |

Hopefully this isn't a surprise to anyone, but Erhun is suffering from ghoul fever. Here is the standard text for it:
Ghoul Fever: Bite—injury; save Fort DC 13; onset 1 day; frequency 1/day; effect 1d3 Con and 1d3 Dex damage; cure 2 consecutive saves. The save DC is Charisma-based.
I have bolded some important parts.
Because the ghoul you fought had an increased charisma, the DC is 15. Erhun has some options, all of which have varying chances for failure.
I am not aware of any other methods of fixing this (please let me know if you do). Erhun, please let me know which method you wish to pursue!

![]() |

I’d suggest taking the save route, as that’s (statistically) likely to work. If ability scores get perilously low, than spending resources for curing makes sense.
GM Bearington, thanks for running the game—it was a blast.

![]() |

Callah is happy to put her nonexistent healing skill to use to help a fellow Pathfinder!
Also, thanks for the game everyone! I enjoyed it and many thanks for allowing me to fill in the missing seat :)

![]() |

I have a +6 to Heal, so if I can take 10, I can auto aid another each day.
Thanks to all for a great first experience of PbP. I feel like I must have gotten very lucky to end up at this "table" with such a great group and ace GM.
I'm definitely hooked on PbP and hope to be at a table with you in the future!

![]() |

I'm afraid with my low wisdom and lack of healing skills, I'd risk impairing his recovery somehow...
And indeed, it was very fun. Great GM, great group. Thanks everybody for such a wonderful game, and thanks for putting up with my sporadic posting!

GM Bearington |

Glad you all had fun! :D
MUWAHAHAHA! I have corrupted yet another for the PbP cult! >:)
With Etienne's +6, he can take 10 each day, allowing Erhun to roll 1d20+10 if he so chooses.

GM Bearington |

Woo! :D While the fever got the best of you during the first day, Etienne's assistance and your own internal zest for life has successfully broken the fever!
You took...
Dex: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Con: 1d3 ⇒ 3 DAYUM!
But then proceeded to sleep for a week and now feel right as rain!
Thanks for bearing with me through that part everyone, just had to make sure good old Erhun here didn't kick the bucket!
I will submit the report and have your chronicle sheets out today!
ROLL FOR YOUR BOONS PEOPLE! ROLL THEM!
1 or 20 wins!
One for me?!: 1d20 ⇒ 6

![]() |

Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Maybe next time!

GM Bearington |

BE FREE! TAKE YOUR CHRONICLE SHEETS AND RUN!
Please let me know if there are any errors.
Callah, for Outpost reporting are we supposed to use the normal reporting system or did they make a special one for this convention (they've done that for other conventions in the past)?

boon roll: 1d20 ⇒ 20

![]() |

Hey! I’ve had the best luck with both my rolls and this being my first PbP. Thanks everyone.

![]() |

This should take you to the reporting link for OutPost! :)
Also, chronicle looks good! Thanks again for a fun game :)

GM Bearington |

Hooray for boons! :D EDIT: If you win a boon *envious glare at Arrius* please either PM me or post your email address in this thread.
Thanks Callah!
Glad y'all had fun! :D

Thanks again

GM Bearington |

I have reported the game!
I do not currently have any games planned right now. I try to always be running a game on PbP, but I'll be starting my master's program in a month and have no idea what sort of time I'll have available. Once I know, I'll definitely be starting up another game though!

Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 8
That's great GM Bearington. Good luck with the master's, and hang in there! (You're not tired of it yet, but you likely will be at some point, so the message is for when that happens. It has its ups and downs, but it's worth it.)

GM Bearington |

FYI, this campaign will be marked inactive this weekend. If you have not printed your sheet by then, you can always find this thread in the "inactive campaigns" portion of your campaign tab (it'll show up at the bottom of the page if you don't have any yet).
