Looks like the best I can do for basic melee is a 2H spear.

Waiting to hear back on equipment before deciding if I get gill sheath. It is a pretty cheap biotech augmentation and takes care of breathing water.

However, armor is not sufficient for Thick or Severely Thick atmosphere environmental considerations found at extreme deptsh, so Mikkazuki's statements aren't setting egregious.

Reading the Kalo weapon modifications, it's just a blanket effect to any weapon, so that would include electric. Right?

In fact.... This is a good idea to have as your main weapon an underwater one.


Ghost Level Delve || Extinction Curse

I don't believe it works on weapons that do electricity damage. Underwater specifically removes the -2 penalty on attack rolls, and attacks with electricity have a -4 penalty. Thrown weapons continue to be ineffective, but I believe all other weapons are valid for the underwater property.

You can't have this applied to a weapon you already own, but you can purchase whatever you like with the discount!

Your existing armor will be fine for the depths you're traveling.

And don't sweat it too much if you can't buy underwater weapons for the pre-gen. I've run this for all pre-gens before and they did fine.

I'm currently trying to decide which option to take for my ally slot:

Amateur Hireling +5 (Set 2: Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate)
I would need to decide what race her face person would be. Seriously considering a catperson since they are from Vesk 6, even though they are described as barbarians.

Collector and Examiner
Seems likely we will encounter some creatures we haven't seen before.

We have two envoys, but this character has no real social skills. That is why I purchased the hireling -- allow me to assist on important social contacts.

This elaborate datapad has several additional audio receptors to capture nearby sounds. If you don't share a language with creatures you encounter, you can activate this device to collect basic linguistic information. The device requires 10 minutes of observed conversation to gain enough information to operate. The device then acts as a rudimentary translator. It does not allow you to converse with creatures with whom you don't share a language, but it can relate very basic information. Examples of statements the device could interpret would be: “come with us,” “lower your weapons,” or “leave immediately.” The device cannot parse proper names, including personal designations or the names of items and places. Some extraordinary complex or obscure languages might not translate clearly with this device. A Tetrad certified translator has 10 capacity and 1/hour usage.
