Skills I want acrobatics, climb, intimidate, survival, swim, knowledge nature, and handle animal. How many languages do I get? Can you post a link to the deities? I'm having trouble finding them.
The World Around You
@Razlegard -- I found an archdevil that works very well thematically if you pick the infernal language, which also fits well thematically because you were raised by Ifrit (that's the only way you could have gotten the Fiery Glare trait). So if you're amiable it would work well to take Moloch. Then take infernal as your required Tiefling language. You still get three languages in addition to that. If you're amenable to Moloch and Infernal, then all I need from you is your alignment (chaotic evil fits your character well, but anything is fine), and your three languages. With equipment, armor, and greatsword bought you still have 445 gold. You'll want to think about a ranged weapon. Possibly a +4 STR rated composite longbow? That would cost exactly 400gp, and provide you +4 on the damage... Let me know whenever you make these choices and I'll send you the PDF of your completed Tiefling Hurler Barbarian.

Surface Infiltrator gets rid of your darkvision, but it also alleviates the difficulty of light-blindness. Perhaps SampleText would consider going half-drow, for his racial choice, and then his rogue could actually be your character's daughter, born of a surface relationship. This would give a great story reason for the alternate racial trait, and provide his character with some great story elements as well.
So I am working on my back story and I was wondering if we were going to do this because if so, I will have to add it in to my back story.

You can and should use the
The World Around You
Okay so apparently we need a small tutorial on the coding system.
To make a spoiler you type (except spell spoiler correctly)------->[spoler=Name of the spoiler] Then you type what you want to fit into the spoiler, this can be things like something your character says in another language. A secret message, etc. When you are done then you type [/spiler] <------ (Except spell spoiler correctly) Then it will turn into something like this:
Wux geou loreat puny mablik.
Another useful bit of coding is the url link code. To use that type (except spell url correctly)------->[orl=https://www.google.com]Then you type what you want the link to look like in the post here. Then type [/orl] <-------- (Except spell url correctly!!!) Links can be fun things to include in character posts if you want to show a picture of something, or if you're out of character and just need everyone to look at a rule or feat, etc.
When you do it correctly it should look like the following:
Dragons!
These codes work within posts, or on your profile pages. So you can adjust your profiles to look more clean and organized.
Also, something you'll be using a lot is the dice code. In order to do that you type (except spell dice correctly)------>[dace=Perception]1d20+7[/dace]<------(except spell dice correctly). We've also discovered that you need to have something in your post besides just the dice. So you'll need to have some narration or an ooc character comment in addition to the dice.
When you've done it correctly it should look something like this:
Attack roll to spill goblin guts: 1d20 + 10000000 ⇒ (10) + 10000000 = 10000010
Edit: I guess while we're at it, we might as well cover out of character comments. These will be going into your posts in the gameplay tab when you need to let everyone know what's happening mechanically. In order to do that you type (except spell ooc correctly)----->[oac]Then you type the stuff here that is out of character. Then type[/oac]<--------(except spell ooc correctly).
When you do it correctly it will look like this:
I'm going to use my standard action to ready an action. My ready action will be to spill the guts of the first goblin that dares to show his disgusting face.
Got it! As with anything, if you have questions let me know.
The World Around You
@SampleText You need to roll your dice for your character wealth. As a rogue you roll 4d6 then we'll multiply that by ten to figure out your starting wealth. That is unless you are going to pick a trait that allows for more starting wealth, which, by the way, would be entirely possible, because your mother is a drow noble, and your father is a human noble. Make sure that is clearly written into your background. Obviously you also need to pick two traits, or three traits and a drawback. Traits can be found here here: Traits. Drawbacks can be found here: Drawbacks. Once you've determined those, your starting wealth, and then told me what equipment you want, (remember you'll need to buy thieves' tools, and crafting tools as part of your wealth expenditure) Tamarelle will be completed.

Great job on checking the results of the roll in Preview mode, and then adding the additional narration after you saw the natural 20!! This is something everyone will need to get in the habit of doing. It is especially important for possible critical hits. Before submitting anything with dice rolls, you should always preview, then you'll be able to see what the dice rolled. If a crit roll comes up, you can then add in the critical threat roll to see if it is indeed a multiplier critical, or just a max damage.
Also, great job of putting your characters thoughts in italics. Everyone needs to remember that as well. Character speech is in bold, like this: Barkeep! Give me another round of Dragonbite Bitters over here.
Whereas character thoughts are in italics, like this: I sincerely hope the dwarf passes out so I don't have to hear his ridiculously ramblings any more. Tradak thought, while glaring at the loud-mouthed dwarf out of the corner of his eyes.
Notice my narration is in the third person. This is how all posts should be created: third person omniscient for narration, first person bold for character speech and first person italics for character thoughts.

@Razlegard: Two things. Do you want the character to be named Razlegard? Or are you wanting a more Tiefling sounding name? Secondly, and actually more importantly, we are going to have to discuss some changes to your character. Having a prehensile tail creates a big hindrance for your character entering "normal" societies. You would be run out of town on sight, unless you did something to disguise yourself. Thankfully the game has a disguise mechanic. Unfortunately disguise isn't a class skill for barbarians. So here's what I propose. Something pretty drastic actually. I propose we completely retool your trait choices. Drop Adopted (which means dropping Fiery Glare--the one that lets you take 10 on Intimidate checks even in combat) and Chosen Child, instead take Rich Parents (this replaces Chosen Child, but is a social rather than regional trait) and Keeper of the Veil. Keeper of the Veil lets you choose Disguise as a class skill, and also gives you a bonus to that skill. It is a regional trait, though, specifically your character would have been from the region Qadira, which is called "the gateway to the east." This actually works REALLY well though, because Qadira is a region that is mostly desert and mountains, and there is a much higher percentage of outsider races there, because the mountains are full of genies, ifrits, djinn, and the like. So to have been the child of a devil in that particular region would be perfectly understandable. As would the fact that your parents would have taught you to hide your nature when in "normal" society. Please give this some serious thought, and let me know what you think.
Edit: Forgot to say that you actually underspent skill points by one point anyway, so you have a skill point available to put in disguise, if you should decide to make these choices.

Alright, ive finaly pickd my traits, i think im going with Blade of Society, Acrobat, Forlorn, and for my drawback ill do family-ties
WOW!!! It's amazing how just those four choices create an absolute wealth of both back story, and the potential for future story. This, right here, is why I think traits can be one of the most important parts of the game, especially for a play-by-post game.
@SampleText: Make sure to roll 4d6, here in the discussion forum, to see what your starting wealth will be. Then post your choices for starting armor, weapons, and equipment (remembering that you'll need both thieves' tools and crafting tools to fit with your skills). Once your wealth is posted, the other players might be able to help with suggestions for weapons and armor. Remember that not every weapon is finesse-able.

Backstory is done. Let me know what you guys think. If the world around us decides something needs to change let me know.
Please add something about how Sadira, when Tamarelle was full grown, prepared her for, and then helped her, join the Pathfinder Society. You can say she helped her join the Pathfinder Lodge in any nation really. A list of the main lodges is here. Sadira would have done this because infiltrating the Pathfinder Society would provide a great number of advantages, not only in ease of travel across national lines, but also in terms of secret and hidden knowledge.
Edit: Also, Sadira would have wanted Tamarelle to join the lodge because it is MUCH easier for Tamarelle to hide her drow heritage. As far as "surfacers" are concerned she just looks like a darker skinned half-elf. Also, just so you are aware, there are stories just like this in a lot of the D&D based literature. Drow matrons were known to have relationships with surfacers just so they could tell their half-breed daughters what to do in order to gain advantage on the surface world.
Man!!! This story seriously writes itself, and is going to be AWESOME!!! Is everyone else as excited about this as I am?

I just wanted to give you a set of example posts, to show everyone a couple of different things. The examples we've had so far are good, but when we actually get in game there will be some things that are slightly more complex, and I wanted everyone to see how that would work.
------------------------------------
Example Post 1
Sadira clutches her holy symbol tightly and invokes the power of her three-faced deity Magdh to lend aid to her strikes. She slides across the battlefield with graceful step, approaching Ayrik, muscles infused with the magical energies of Magdh's power. She calls aloud, seemingly to the skies, Great Magdh! Lend me your power, so that I might smite this champion of hatred from the earth.
Sadira uses her standard action to cast True Strike so she can get a +20 on her next attack roll. She then uses her move action to get into a position where she threatens Ayrik
------------------------------------------
Example Post 2
Sadira slashes at Ayrik with her scythe, using her magically infused strength and accuracy attempting to cut him in twain, and end his pathetic life. She screams in infernal as her scythe comes down, کافر مر، اور آپ کے خون زمین کی پرورش کرتے ہیں.
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 3 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 20 = 30
Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4) + 3 = 8
Kaze o
Aaauuuugghhh this is getting even more awesome!!!!!!!! Hurry up peeps so we can get this huge ball of awesome rolling!! And Finwe pointed out to me today, we could totally (provided we all have an extensive interest in this campaign) be running this campaign until we die, like in RL
The World Around You
One thing I wanted to point out about the complexities of this particular kind of game (through my post) is the temptation for everybody to click on that little spoiler button. You all want to know what she said in infernal as she sent her magically infused scythe at the enemy, right? Of course. BUT! if your character doesn't speak infernal, you really have no business clicking on that link. If you do, that's metagame knowledge, and you would have to remember that while you (the player) know that, and maybe even enjoyed reading it, your character (insert character name here) does NOT know it. If your character doesn't speak infernal all they would have heard was a collection of unrecognizable syllabics. That's the beauty and the trap of this game. It also creates wonderful moments where characters that speak the same language can have conversations that only they can understand. Imfazl and Sadira want to have a private conversation? Easy, just speak in infernal. Kaze o and Tamarelle want to talk privately? Just speak to each other in Sylvan. Post your messages in spoilers, and no other character knows what you said. Players might click on the link, but they'd know that by doing that, they were gaining knowledge outside of the realm of their character's ability, and would have to continue play with that knowledge compartmentalized separately.

That's a great question. I think what I'll do is post some things in the Campaign Info tab. I'll pick some languages available through Google Translate for some of the languages. For example I used the Urdu language for infernal. We should continue to use the same RL languages for frequently used in-game languages. For some of them, like Elven, and Draconic there are actual translators on the web. I'll have some time later tonight to post something in the campaign info tab to direct people what resources to use for what languages we currently have available, and then as the game progresses, if there are other languages that pop up, we can decide that as a group and I'll update the campaign info tab.

Google Translate uses a variety of different characters for some languages, and a pretty accurate translation from english to whatever. The languages that use characters other than the standard ones are Japanese, Hebrew, Russian, Yiddish, Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, Armenian, Belarusian, Bengali, Bulgarian, Georgian, Greek, Gujarati, Kannada, Khmer, Korean, Lao, Macedonian, Marathi, Mongolian, Nepali, Persian, Punjabi, Serbian, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Ukrainian and Urdu. There are also a bunch more where the language uses familiar characters, but words are unfamiliar. Example: Jezik je zelo zapleten. I love it and will use it quite often.
