it is spooky... he makes rolls and they go bad.. as in really bad bad... very uncanny.

GM Chyro |

I've rolled the killing blow on a boss on behalf of a PC, just for the record. They've not all been bad.
Anyone botting Vassago per chance? My break's over.

GM Chyro |

Ok. It's been since tuesday, already?
Seeing as no other botting has been done by others, you let it fall to me again. I...can't figure you guys out. :P
As Vassago gets the new command of hostility towards Harlis, his suave mind starts to struggle against the mental hold.
Will Vassago, conflicting command, PfE buff: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 4 + 2 + 2 = 17
His mind struggles and wrestles, but it doesn't manage to wrest itself free at the very last moment.
He heads west, seeing both Harlis and the cultist, and moves into a flanking position. Activating a flame blade, he strikes out at Harlis.
Flame blade, flank: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 2 = 12 Fire dmg: 4d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 2) + 7 = 16
It may be a final struggle of his mind, his aim is suddenly way off course to be of any threat to Harlis.
-------------------------------
Tesserick recovers slightly from his injuries. (-35)
The cultist crawls across the ceiling, suddenly dropping right before Harlis.
"There you are. Stop resisting, cleric."
Harlis, willsave please vs dominate.

Dr. Vitruvian (or rather, his shanghaied corporal husk) draws his wicked rapier upon poor Harlis!

'Atropos' (+1 Shock 'Smine' Rapier), flank: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

GM Chyro |

Harlis' neckhair is slightly spikey, after the electricity of Dr. Zephyr's rapier courses through him.

Will Save versus domainate: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
Harlis steps back beside the weaponless Vassago and chants praying that this prayer would help his previous ally.
Casting Protection from Evil on Vassago in the attempt to clear the dominate command. Note with 80 minutes of protection from evil Harlis is immune to commands even on failed saves until expired, not that the vampires know it.

GM Chyro |

The vampires are clueless on that, indeed.
Vassago, you're on another willsave. +2 morale bonus and +2 resistance bonus from the buff.
Oh, since smoke is still in effect, Dr. Zephyr had a miss chance.
Hit %, 21+ is hit: 1d100 ⇒ 15
Harlis did not get spikey neck hairs. ^^

With Charito looking adoringly at a passive Enora, she does some tough love, slapping Enora on the shoulder, at least she hopes so.

GM, may I assume being attacked allows a new save vs the command to stay calm. As ... “Subjects resist this control, and any subject forced to take actions against its nature receives a new saving throw with a +2 bonus”
if yes, Will save +2, 2 negative levels: 1d20 + 7 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 2 - 2 = 17
Assuming that is successful as this was what she rolled last time.
Enora again casts ‘mirror image’ CL 5 with : 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Images appearing.
Concentration, casting defensively : 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 12 - 2 = 26

GM Chyro |

Plausible.
Though to all rolls and lvl dependant spells you take the negative level penalties. So you're refreshing the mirror image for 5 images.
Also, casting defensively against aoo?
Negative lvl penalties included.

Enora - Iconic character |

Thanks GM. Noticed and changed the post.

GM Chyro |

Huh, ok then.
You weren't responsible for any injuries yet, attack rolls weren't hits against either side's AC, self control or not. Seems little harm for current situation.
Vassago snaps to, ready to dish out some hurt against cultists.

Dr. Zephyr is most unsettling, fanatically jabbing at Harlis...whose armor is the bomb, deflecting more hits.

Charito scoffs at the latest expansion in mirror images.
She stares at your staff briefly, having seen the threat it could pose, then closes her eyes.
Disarm?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 1d100 ⇒ 53
Much to surprise of both of you, Charito manages to pull the staff from your hands, causing it to fall to the floor.

"Now now sweetie, no need for such fiery methods."
Unless you've got a buff running that i'm overlooking?

Enora - Iconic character |

Enora runs to the door, peeks through the hole and jumps through space (dimensional slide and 1 arcane reservoir) to the other side. She continues her movement when she realises that she is in the initial hallway and there is only one other door ... she opens that door.
2 move actions and she has AoO.

GM Chyro |

Vassago, though for the cultist's fate it matters little, your dmg dice are 1 d6 less, due to that negative lvl.
Green gets hits like Tesserick, and likewise turns into a gassy smoke.
Dr. Zephyr's fanatical look doesn't seem to fade just yet, however.
Charito sees you trying to dash off, and closes her eyes again.

Enora - Iconic character |

Hello GM, Charito's action does not work. Closing eyes is not defined in terms of what action it is but but it surely is not so easy. Also: Being blind means Enora has concealment and she cannot take AoO vs. concealment at all. :-)

GM Chyro |

Alright. Slightly different action then.
She'd have to try it with sight instead.
1 is true Enora: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Although your own actions may not fully work either.
A keyhole only lets you see straight ahead. Being a halfling you got 20ft speed, that leaves you 1 action short of opening the door, if you're starting cornered by Charito.
Poor Harlis now does get spikey neckhairs, as Dr. Zephyr's electric rapier zaps him thoroughly.
Harlis

Enora - Iconic character |

Enora has the halfling trait to have 30 ft movement. So she walks to the door and looks through to jump to the other side which is part of her move action and then arrives at the door. She then opens the door. But I am ok with her standing in front of the door in the hallway and not having opened the door yet.

GM Chyro |

If, by the dev's ruling/interpretation, closing one's eyes is a move action, standing still peering through a keyhole most likely counts as one as well.
That'd end up you still in the room, able to execute your current plan next round.

![]() |

Harlis grimaces in pain and reaches back into his haversack, his hand coming out with a simple pearl held within. But instead of invoking it he focuses on his shield to channel the holiness of Iomedae, but this time for healing on all living creatures within. Even his errant elven companion. "Help restrain the Doctor!" he urges.

Enora - Iconic character |

Thanks for the explanation but the opponents have used the tactics of closing eyes without any action economy constraints and the vampire’s inability to close eyes and take an AoO was because of concealment. So I hope it is fair that Enora is not restrained by a “looking Action/ closing eye action “ rule that did not exist before. :-)

GM Chyro |

Sele, LoH is currently calculated as pally lvl 4, giving but 2d6 on each charge's healing. 12 Healing still though.
With round 6's events, you currently execute your escape plan, yes?
