Harlis seeing the minions fall steps forward into the corner of the door, peering around while pulling out a rod. He watches the vampire wizard with grim determination that another harmful spell shall not land on his companions.
Ready action casting a Cure Serious as ranged touch on the vampire mage in response to her casting a spell, hoping to land and interrupt it.
| GM Chyro |
Botting.
With green so close up, Vassago steps east to between Enora and Harlis, ready to launch a blast at green.
This movement since hard corners like walls and objects prevent a proper 5ft step.
At that moment, several things happen in quick succession, triggered upon Vassago's gathering power.
At first, he hears an unfamiliar -yet not to Enora-, voice, trying to eerily unsettle Vassago.
Intimidate?: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
"I wonder how you taste.."
Seemingly, Vassago is unimpressed by an attempt to unnerve him into a weakened condition, only raises an eyebrow at the disembodied voice.
At that point, the female vampire starts casting, upon which Harlis' own plan of countering is executed.
This in turn, triggers something, -someone-, else.
From next to him, the figure of Charito appears, swinging a fist at him.
Slam, from invisibility: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 2 = 28 Dmg, SA, + drain: 1d4 + 6 + 3d6 ⇒ (4) + 6 + (3, 6, 4) = 23, hitting him square in the jaw, and it saps some of his vitality.
2 temp negative levels.
Harlis, you're looking at a DC 36 concentration check to proceed with your plan. (DC 10 +dmg taken + spell lvl) Nat 20 is magic number.
If Harlis' concentration succeeds, he can proceed with his plan.
If he doesn't pass his concentration, the vampire casts magic missile for Dmg: 4d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 3) + 4 = 19 against Vassago.
When those events have passed, Vassago swings a solid water club at Charito.
Club, good hope: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 2 = 14 Dmg, good hope: 4d6 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5, 2, 2) + 11 + 2 = 28, Charito quickly ducks aside, avoiding the hydrolic weapon.
--------------------------
Charito swings her fist at Vassago.
Backhand: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Dmg + drain: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Crit?: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 Dmg + drain: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Does not confirm.
If Harlis' plan was successful and the vampire fails her concentration, Vassago goes to 11/37 after only the slam's 2 negative levels. (-8 to 21/47, -10 from 2 neg lvl to 11/37)
If the vampire either makes her check, or Harlis' plan is unsuccessful, Vassago goes to -8. (19 MM to 10/47, 8 slam to 2/47, -10 from 2 neg lvl)
Charito steps 5ft north, now adjacent to all three pathfinders.
She smiles, and you hear a rising sound of wings flapping, accompanied by high pitched screeching, as 3 swarms of bats materialize, spreading out as Charito points her fingers.

Afaik, that would be (evil) summoned creatures. PfE mentions non-evil creatures are unaffected. Individual animals get summoned with either good or evil, but swarms lack those, they are always N aligned.
As for the cover, +4 cover in melee, as far as i can find, involves a reach weapon being treated as ranged in relation to such, being adjacent to you like this is much less an obstacle. Seems i forgot to calculate his profane bonus, even.
Correct me if i'm wrong but...with both protection from evil (deflection) and good hope (morale), you're passing that will save.
@ Enora, they will have to make those saves if they end their next turns adjacent to the pit.
The swarm's bites cause the unconscious Vassago to go to -12...which is too much for him to stay alive.

The bats are the UTTER LEAST of Dr. Vitruvian's concerns right now.
Also, if it'd gotten through to me I'd taken as much damage as I have these past 3 rounds, I'dve used my Spontaneous Healing+ ability, so consider that to have been done. It's a free action, so there's no reason I wouldn't or couldn't have. I figure it doesn't change the bleed damage factor, since it gets renewed as quickly as it can be stanched.
| GM Chyro |
Doc, there's a lot of hindsight stuff going on...
I'm updating HP on the map during combat, but it's generally the PCs task to keep tabs on their HP and do whatever they deem needed during that time, instead of suddenly calling healing multiple rounds worth.
I'm going with you activating the fast heal at current turn, that brings you to 32/45, after 1 point of bleed at the start of this turn.
And so, what was likely to unfold, has come to pass, as Dr. Zephyr unleashes a second solar flare inside the vampire sanctum.
