sounds like we have an accord! yay!

If the gold from this adventure isn't quite enough to raise Lot, can I 'keep him on ice' until the payout from the next adventure?

GM Chyro |

The gold on the chronicle, provided you achieve all goals (which thus far has been a standard by the team's work), will cover the 1k to cast Raise Animal Companion.

GM Chyro |

Getting to Sele's comment in gameplay.
When we're approaching an area, could you describe any buffs you put on yourself before entering, so we can avoid getting anyone hit prematurely.

![]() |

Fey Foundling is the martial pally feat.. other get to do damage and funky stuff Pallies get to survive and walk through situations others can't.

![]() |

What makes it a "Paladin feat?" It's equally good for almost everyone, and the only requirement is that you take it at 1st level.

![]() |

It's a little better when you can heal yourself as a swift action.
Yes, your cavalier and my druid can also benefit from it, but he can benefit from it at the same time he's hitting the enemies thanks his lay on hands.

![]() |

If you look at the templates for area affects, the corners are 'cut out' in a 10' radius spread... so it should still miss Sele. There's in image of a 10' radius spread in the box on the left side of the page, one of the gray images. If you rule otherwise though, then I'll just depend on Sele's good saves and hope he's not blinded.

GM Chyro |

Then i have to go with that template, though i'd go otherwise in home games. It's silly that it cuts corners when it can actually reach the cut corners. :P
Sele's safe.

Paladin detect evil works as if it has been studying for 3 rounds in 1 Detect Evil, does that change what Sele sees?

GM Chyro |

Alright, you sense it's somewhere towards the north.

@Vassago: While it would admittedly take you some expensive retraining at this point, given that you're a hydrokineticist, have you considered the Blood Kineticist Archetype? Speaking as someone who wasn't too thrilled in general with the Kineticist class, I found that one rather interesting (it certainly has a much more interesting 20th-level ability than Omnikinesis).

GM Chyro |

While it's certainly an interesting archetype, it leaves the kineticist less versatile in array of targets that are affected.
Which leaves a good deal of creature types immune to this archetype's special abilities.

GM Chyro |

The devs aught to have a look at VtM Bloodlines' clan Tremere.
Blood mages, who can do that sort of stuff, but better.
Short nausea with bleed, using blood as a temporary shield/armor, and on high levels exploding all but the toughest targets.

GM Chyro |

To think..when i get to play this...i'm up against max tier >_>
2 of these...

I am leaving on a retreat on Thursday the 3rd and won't be back til Sunday afternoon. I will try to keep up on my phone, but it's very hard to post using it, so please bot me as necessary to keep the game flowing. Thanks

![]() |

Stop going on holidays/away.. I get spammed by you each time you do .. ;o)

![]() |

lol

![]() |

Sorry for my dissapearance guys, my wife and one of my kids get sick and I become exhausted by taking care of them.

![]() |

Too sick and depressed and terrified to game right now... expect I'll be gone a day or two while I process recent events.. I WILL be back.

This, I think, is the darkness before the dawn. The Democratic Party's corporate/conservative/Clinton wing has been solidly rebuffed and will hopefully never recover, the GOP has finally lost the whisper-thin veneer of respectability that let it get away with so much for so long, and he LOST THE POPULAR VOTE and isn't going to get terror-attack manna from heaven the way the Bush Junta did (and even if that does happen, people won't react the same way this time around), the thing that handed him victory was not his hate demagoguery, but angry Rust Belt voters who (not wrongly) felt abandoned and betrayed by the Clintons, and of course, the man is a buffoon who's going to be in over his head and is quickly going to disgrace himself in his windmill-tilting quests to jail Hillary and make Mexico pay for a wall. Keep all eyes on 2020: If America can just make it through 4 years of dysfunction, a real liberal like Elizabeth Warren, Russ Feingold, or maybe even Bernie Sanders, will rise and wipe the floor with Trump. The Republicans may control all three branches of government (or at least 2), but they don't have the support of the people.
Oh yeah, and he's got multiple criminal charges against him that those he hurt won't give up on. Can you Preside from prison, I wonder?

GM Chyro |

Haha...and ow bummer.
I thought people in Sunny countries got sick less often?
Anyway, good luck with the family recovery, amigo.

![]() |

Thanks for botting me.
Wife and older kid are better. The younger too, but being only months old and havind started the kindergarten is just a matter of time he becomes sick again.
Thanks for your good wishes.

![]() |

Remind me how much raise animal companion will cost, all told?

GM Chyro |

GM Chyro |

All the better.
Since it said 'works as', as such i thought it meant Lot would suffer negative levels.

![]() |

craft alchemy w/crafters fortune: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (17) + 22 = 39

GM Chyro |

I want my alchemist to roll that modifier :(
He's lvl 4.

GM Chyro |

Kel, on your sheet, you don't have that one memorized for the day.

![]() |

I thought day job rolls were things that take place between adventures and it's never been an issue before for it not to be memorized for the adventure... if that's your call, then subtract 5 from the roll, making it 34. No problem.

![]() |

I thought day job rolls were things that take place between adventures and it's never been an issue before for it not to be memorized for the adventure...
That's always how I've seen it handled with my Alchemist and Wizard. I think you're being a little over-strict, DM.
Craft (Pergamano): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

![]() |

So a divine caster has every spell in their level lists available as booster rolls?

![]() |

No, this is a "specific case" thing, given that it's one of the few reliably-appearing applications of crafter's fortune in Society play. It's been commonly-accepted practice for at least as long as my characters have been doing it (and Kel did a good job spelling out the reasoning).

GM Chyro |

Ok, then i don't want to be a spoilsport.

![]() |

Gm decision being fine, I don't see the logic, why should this one spell get a pass as compared to any other, that makes no sense and shouldn't be accepted.
Otherwise my scenario as stated should be accepted, they are after all the same reasoning.

![]() |

It's a specific exception to the rule. The other spells you're thinking of don't need that to be useful. This makes the crafter's fortune spell as useful as it can be for Society play (making up for the fact that most applications of it can't be done) without being an annoying burden.

![]() |

dayjob trapper, hoping to catch a prey that a new companion will find tasty: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

GM Chyro |

That leaves Lot's revival and Spenser fixing his remaining negative level, it seems.
