Having gotten his own, Chuffy helps the others by sneaking up on the toads and scaring them in the direction of his comrades.

"Zarongel bestes of gobs," Poog mutters, as he fiddles through his meager belongings. Eventually he settles on nothing, and instead remembers how his first lick of toad was like when he was still a welp in a cage and a panicked toad had attempted to escape within his arm's reach. The toad had squirmed, but with just the right pressure - mostly induced by the half-daze of the toad-licking - the toad had been perfectly restful. Poog recalls how this was the epiphany he needed to create a spark of flame from his nostrils for the first time. It was just about how you moved, how you angled, the pressure, the give.

Poog cradles a toad, surprisingly tenderly, in his hands. Then he licks it. "This un guuuuudd-" he lulls, his tongue suddenly feeling cheewy and other-bodily. Like a phantom limb.
Reta stops pouting as she sees Chuffy start corralling them towards her and the others. She dips back down under water up to her eyes and tries once again to catch one by surprise.
While she is unable to catch one unaware, she does manage to snag one anyway due to Chuffy's help. she says grinning, holding up her prize in the air.
Smuz stands back and watches the others carefully, waiting to figure out what he's supposed to do. Once he's seen a couple of successes, he wades into the water, keeping an eye out for toads.
When he catches sight of one, he smacks his hand across the surface of the water, making a small display of splashes to distract the toad, then reaches out to grab it.
Unfortunately the distraction wasn't enough and the toad hops away from his grasp. Finding another toad, he tries a similar tactic.
Once more, the toad slips away from his grasp. He frowns. Grumbling, he goes for another toad, slapping the water in a playful display once more to distract it.
This time, he gets his hands around the toad, which squirms furiously and almost gets away from him, but he's able to get a firm grip on its leg just in time.
Having taken immediate advantage of his newly-acquired toad, Poog follows a trail of fire that the others seem not to notice as it draws obscene pictures across the top of the pond-water. His spirit-quest is rudely interrupted when he steps on something sharp in the otherwise pleasantly-squooshy layer of peat beneath the scummy water. Further investigation reveals something metallic protruding through the peat from the underneath. When pulled free, ripping a liquid hole in the peat through which the murky waters below and above begin to intermingle, it is revealed to be a dogslicer.
"BEHOLE! Poog favored by Zarongoolee!" Poog waves about his newly acquired dogsclicer; he follows that with waving about his firestick too - then deflates a little. "Poog not carry everything; who here also favored by Zarongel?"
"Chuffy want dogslicer." He looks at it longingly. You can tell that he already sees himself cutting things with it.

Smuz steps forward. "Smuz! Smuz goblin!"
Poog facepalms and slowly pulls his hand down in an overly Zarongel-help-me-please display of exasperation.
Chuffy looks at Poog like he does not understand the question because he does not understand the question. "Who is greatest of gobos?"
Poog brightens up instantly, "Zarongel of course! He greatest gob - he so great he made first dogslicer! Like this one!" Poog examines the dogslicer, in case it showcases signs of being handcrafted by Zarongel himself.

The only signs Poog finds on the dogslicer are those that indicate it has been buried in the mud for quite a while.
Reta ducks her head under the murky water, sputtering a little as she inhales pond scum and water striders while she fishes around the hole in the peat. Her hand finds something slick and bloated, and with a effort, she pulls up an entire pickled goblin corpse.
At this thrilling discovery, everyone joins in and begins fishing for treasure beneath the surface. Before long, they have discovered a second goblin unfortunate enough to have sunk into the bog -- and several items that the dead goblins clearly have no more use for.
Shaking her head, She hands him the other dogslicer. She then cuts her eyes toward the dead moles and is unable to resist. She hands the javelin to him and the grappling hook. Looking at the symbol curiously, she tries biting it and realizes it's not very tasty.
Chuffy caresses his new dogslicer lovingly, then, almost without warning, on a reflex really, he stabs at one of the dead moles being held by Reta.

Reta giggles at Chuffy's stabbing game. "CHUFFY KILL MOLE AGAIN," she says in an almost "normal" voice as another giggle escapes.
Looking back at the unholy symbol, she shrugs and gives it to Poog.
The horrible morning sunshine slowly gives way to a refreshing, dank drizzle as the goblins leave behind Tadpole Bog and cross the marsh on their way to the Cave of Darkfear. As they progress, the rotting remains of a fallen tree lie across their path. A weaselly, green-gray figure climbs astride it: Kettlehead the goblin, his polished pot still perched upon his puckered puss.
"Stupid, baby wannabe goblins!" he jeers, waving a mean-looking dogslicer over his head, as Culgick and Rempty, looking somewhat battered about the ears scramble cautiously up beside him. "I is been claiming that pond you was fishing in, so everything you was finding there is mine's! Give us toads! And say you be stupid!"
Reta glares at the goblin and a wicked grin forms. she taunts as she draws out her club and her makeshift shield.
"Make me." Chuffy stands ready for a fight.
"BAH!! Zarongel tell Poog secret! Stupid Kettlhed secret! He says Kettle hid in cage when previous gob whelps became Licktoads! Kettle was scared, now thinks he strong enuf for new no-longer whelps! BAH!"
Chuffy throws a dart at Kettlehead.

Then moves behind Reta.
Smuz looks a bit confused by the javelin and grappling hook that Reta hands him, but after examining them a bit, he smiles. He packs the grappling hook and carries the javelin with him. He follows the others as they head out of the swamp.
When Kettlehead appears, he sticks his tongue out and blows a raspberry. He then calls out, "Smuz goblin! You..." He searches for the word. "...NOT!"
Reacting very quickly, Smuz throws his javelin at Kettlehead.
Disappointed by his poor throw, Smuz moves for cover, blowing another raspberry at Kettlehead as he moves.
Smuz's javelin whizzes harmlessly past Kettlehead's left ear and drops out of sight behind the log. Kettlehead's mouth drops open in disbelief that anyone dared defy him. "You is going to be sorry, you blue ... blue goblin!" He leaps down from the fallen log and gives chase, swinging his dogslicer inexpertly as he rounds a tuft of weeds sprouting from the mud, but Smuz just manages to dodge the twirling blade.
Chuffy comes up behind Kettlebut and stabs at him.

Until this moment, one end of the dogslicer in his hand, the other buried in the flesh of his enemy, Chuffy never really knew what it meant to be alive. The rock he had so lovingly sharpened in the long days in the whelping cage is nothing to the stabby kiss of perforated steel. Truly ... this is why he was put on Golarion by a malevolent god.
Kettlehead shrieks in surprised pain.
Stepping up next to Chuffy, Reta yells, swinging her mighty club at the pot wearing goblin.
As she connects fantastically with a solid hit, Reta looks at Kettlehead curiously through narrowed eyes.
Reta's volume is not yet matched by her strength, but Kettlehead flinches anyway. "Ow!"
Rempty leaps off the fallen log and comes to Kettlehead's aid. "I is helping you, Kettlehead!" he calls out obsequiously, whacking Reta in the head with a long stick he holds in both hands. "Me, Rempty!"
Not to be left behind, Culgick jumps down as well and swings at Reta with a shorter stick. "No! Me, Culgick, is helping!"
"Well ZARONGOOLEE is helping POOG!" Poog shouts as he steps closer slightly and invokes the greatest of goblin heroes.
Rempty, shocked to see this unholy aggression from Poog, inadequately flails his stick at Poog - no doubt his focus still on Reta - and subsequently completely fails to interrupt Poog's efforts.
The fire that bursts forth from Poog's outstretched hands is extra-burny. Rempty and Culgick shriek in pain and alarm. Rempty manages to duck beneath some of the fiery spray, but Culgick, farther away and with less warning, takes the full brunt of the conflagration.
Smuz grimaces and pulls out his trusty knitting needle. He stabs at Kettlehead.
Smuz's knitting needle prods Kettlehead's muddy shirt but fails to puncture his skin.
"Where you get slicer?" Kettlehead demands of Chuffy. "I wants it! Give it!" He steps out of the flank and swings his own dogslicer at Chuffy, cutting a deep gash into the goblin's arm.
Chuffy does not like being hurt. He Withdraws, running behind Poog and ends up at M12.
Reta follows Kettlehead and takes another swing at him with her mighty club.
Reta's mighty club fails to connect with Kettlehead's shiny kettle-head.
"Hey! You goblin!" Rempty shouts at Chuffy in outrage. "Kettlehead said give, you give. Come back with Kettlehead's slicer!" He follows Chuffy and whacks him with his stick.
Culgick laughs. "You is scaring of him, Kettlehead!" he fawns on his shiny-hatted leader. "See him is running away!"
Poog extracts his club and shifts into Rempty's blind spot. Then deftly - but also a little ineffectually - bonks him on the head.
Poog glares angrily at his club.
"Smuz goblin! Smuz yells as he repositions himself slightly and jabs at Kettlehead again with his knitting needle. "Smuz goblin Smuz goblin Smuz Goblin!"
Poog smacks Rempty on the head.
Smuz's knitting needle ping's harmlessly off Kettlehead's kettle.
"Give me slicer! Give it!" Enraged by Chuffy's disobedience to his whims, Kettlehead disengages from Smuz and Reta to chase down Chuffy.
Chuffy swipes at Kettlehead to discourage his pursuit.

He then jumps past Rempty and continues running until he stands next to Reta (I9).
Chuffy's slicer strikes Kettlehead, tracing a long, red line on his torso. The goblin looks down at the wound in amazement, wobbles on his feet, then collapses in a heap. Rempty is so startled by the development that he barely notices as Chuffy dodges past him.
Reta pouts as she sees Kettlehead fall. she whines as she moves up and swings at Culgick.
Missing terribly once again, she takes another look at the fallen Kettlehead and can't help but giggle. she mocks in a sing song way.
Culgick looks at the club in his hand. "Kettlestoopidhead is dead, Kettlestoopidhead is dead," he joins Reta's song with an ingratiating smile.
Rempty drops his stick. "We was only joking you," he explains. "You is best no-longer-whelps. Kettlehead was not even winning badges."
"Best lick toads, with the best hero," Poog agrees. "You bad jokers anyways - cant even make fire. Best jokes are fire jokes."
Chuffy takes up the chant as he gets closer to Culgick. "Kettlestoopidhead is dead, Kettlestoopidhead is dead." He puts an arm around him and stabs him in the stomach while continuing to chant. "Kettlestoopidhead is dead, Kettlestoopidhead is dead."

"Kettlestoopidhead is dead! Kettlestoopidhead is dead!" Smuz joins Reta's chant. He goes over to Kettlehead's body and stabs it with his knitting needle just to be sure. "Kettlestoopidhead is dead!"
Culgick's singing trails off into a groan as he collapses at Chuffy's feet.
"Ha, ha," Rempty laughs nervously. "Also slicer jokes. Funny joke on Culgick. Fire jokes and slicer jokes are best." He plasters an ingratiating grin on his wide mouth but looks ready to run if anyone makes a move in his direction.
