Derika can't help but giggle herself as she gives Vishanti a little squeeze.

The elf takes Derika's coin. "It'll be three silver for the curtains."

*sigh* He already told you....that was your purchase. We didn't get any curtains. The pillow was five copper, it was six silver for us to purchase three sheet sets and you only got one and he just told you how much the curtains were. SMH

It's okay...just reminding you of what's going on since you've been pretty out of it lately. I would guess that your extra set of bed sheets is two silver, along with the five copper for the pillow. If you don't want to try and figure out all the change and stuff you could just get another pillow for yourself and give her a gold because then the total would be like six silver I think.

Once your purchases are paid for, the three of you see a bright light outside.

She looks around as they exit the shop, "What in the hells is that?!" She asks as concern fills her voice.

Head turning in that direction, Vishanti looks as well. "We should probably investigate. If it was something dangerous we might be better equipped to deal with it." she says moving in that direction.

As you exit the shop, your attention is drawn to a man reclining against a wall, twirling an empty tankard around his finger. "I thought that'd get your attention."

Other people around the man seem to not notice him, but you see a radiant aura around him.

She looks at him a little confused, "Okay....and you would be?"

"Cayden Cailean," the man answers.

Her mouth falls open as her eyes get a little large, "Like....like as in the Cayden Cailean? Wh....why would you need to seek us out?"

"I have a friend arriving here soon who will help you with your journey into Nimuz. He's trying to put his life back together and I'd like you to make sure he gets settled properly," Cayden answers. "He's a halfling...er, kobold...well, he's in disguise right now, but I'll point him in your direction."

She nods as she scratches her head a bit, "Ummm....okay. We'll do whatever we can to help. I mean...all our rooms are taken up, but I'm sure we can help him find a place to stay. It will be nice to have someone else with us since we have no idea what's beyond that wall." She says as she turns to look at Vishanti and Corda.

Vishanti's eyes go wide. She resists the instinct to shift her vision to perceive emanations of magic, realizing she'd probably be blinded if she did.

"It is an honor to know that our concern for what lies beyond the wall has drawn the attention of the gods. It supports my belief that there is definitely something powerfully supernatural behind it. Something with a malign will."

Cayden nods. "It'll be a difficult task, but Eldan should be able to help you and redeem himself in the process."

"A small folk? I'd be more than willing to share my room." Corda responded to Derika's look.

She kind of shrugs, "Let's wait and see what he wants to do. He might want to stay somewhere he can have a room to himself."

"I'll let you go about your business," Cayden says, before disappearing in a puff of sweet-smelling smoke.

She kind of cocks her head to the side as she looks at Vishanti and Corda, "Well...that was interesting. I suppose we'll know who he is when he shows up."

"I get the impression he will be unmistakable." Vishanti replies. "Is there any other shopping we want to do or should we get this stuff home and head over to or lunch meeting?"

She thinks for a few minutes, "No....I think we have everything we need right now. We can get these things back to the house, go meet up with Gaston and Renault, and then we can do the grocery shopping after lunch. That way we're less likely to purchase things impulsively." She says as she gathers up their parcels.

"True...never shop hungry." Vishanti says with a smile as they head home.

Holding their bag in one hand, she wraps her other arm around Vishanti as they head back home.

Once everything is dropped off at the house she takes a few glasses down from one of the cupboards and packs them in a basket so they won't get broken, "I was thinking on the way to the park we could stop by that guys Inn/Tavern thingy and maybe pick up a bottle of wine to go with lunch. Since Gaston is cooking and all."

"Good idea!"" Vishanti replies with a happy smile.

Once they're all ready to go, Derika takes the basket with the glasses in it and heads back to the Inn with Vishanti and Corda. Going up to the elf she asks, "Would it be alright if I purchase one of your bottles of wine?"

"Of course," Aldressan replies. "That'll be one gold."

Derika gives him one gold, "Thank you so much."

With the wine purchased they head off towards the park.

Derika and the others find Renault and Gaston already at the park, a checkered blanket spread out on the sparse grass.

"Well this is certainly a lovely spot," Corda remarked as they approached. It had been some time since she had been on a picnic.

Morgor's nose twitched, <I smell good food. Are you trying to get me fat?>

<Absolutely not.> Corda replied.

Walking up to the pair she smiles as she hands Renault the wine, "I thought since Gaston was cooking that we would bring some wine. I've got glasses in this basket here."

Vishanti smiles at the pair, "This is certainly a pleasant change of pace."

"Oui, moments of relaxation are few and far between," Gaston says, opening the basket to bring out some sandwiches, herb-roasted chicken and various fruits.

Renault grins. "Well, I could almost swear you're a born and bred Valanian if you're bringing wine to lunch."

She blushes, "Is that a good thing?"

The captain nods. "I always appreciate a little wine before work."

Setting the basket down on the blanket, she kneels down beside it and pulls out the five wine glasses she had packed earlier. It would seem that her drinking habits came in handy for more than herself this time around. Having multiple glasses around was most helpful, especially if she was too hung over to wash them every day. She shakes her head as she realizes just how much she had been drinking. Looking up at Renault with a hand over her eyes she asks, "Do you have something to open the bottle with? I forgot the little stopper puller thingy back at the house. I can go and run and fetch it really quickly if I need to."

Renault shakes her head. "I know how to get a cork out."

She pulls out a utility knife, undoes the wax seal on the bottle then jams the small blade into the cork. With little effort, she pulls it out.

Cocking her head to the side slightly she watches in facination as her eyebrows go up slightly, "Oohhhhh....so that's how you do it. I knew there had to be an easier way than using that crazy looking thing I have. Maybe I'll try that next time instead, then I won't nearly take my eye out trying to get the cork out of the bottle." She says as she stretches up her arm with her hand open to help Vishanti down beside her. As she reaches up to help Vishanti she looks over at Corda and Morgor, "Just grab a seat anywhere."

Renault takes the glasses and fills them each halfway, leaving a little wine in the bottle. "Let's eat and drink, then we can discuss your plans."

She nods and takes a glass for herself and hands one to Vishanti, "The food really looks good too."

"Thank you," Gaston says. "My father taught me how to cook."

She nods absently but doesn't say anything for a couple of minutes as they're getting the food onto the plates. She takes a smaller piece of chicken and a couple pieces of fruit. After everyone serves themselves she takes a bite of the chicken, "Mmmmm.....he did a really good job, this tastes delicious." She says once she swallows.

Taking the glass with a smile she looks at the food. "It appears you were paying close attention when he did."
