"Do you have anything to sleep in, a change of clothes? If you don't it's okay, we can fix that." She says, not wanting to make him feel bad. She just wanted to make sure he had everything he needed.
Eldan shakes his head. "I've never had separate clothes for sleeping in."
Cocking her eyebrow slightly she stifles a giggle before looking up at Vishanti and Corda, "Well...if you're going to be sharing a room and an albeit large bed with our friend Corda, you're gonna have to get some. It's okay, there's a place we can go. I'm sure they're still open. You'll probably also want to get a change of clothes for when we're travelling as well. We may not always have a place to bathe or wash clothes sooo...." She kind of trails off as she finishes her ale.
"We'll make sure you have everything you need. It might not be that large but this place is home and we aim to make it feel that way for as long as you're here." Vishanti says with a quiet smile.
Eldan looks at Derika as if she is explaining alien concepts to him. "I used to live in a sewer...when I was human."
She looks really confused for a moment before shaking her head, "None of that matters now. That was then, this is now. It's your new start and you can do anything you want with it. So....we start with stuff to sleep in and go from there. Don't ever feel like you have to hide who you really are though because we have all types here." She pauses while she rinses out her tankard, "So, ready to go?"
Corda had been quiet during the meal and the subsequent conversation with Eldan. Her thoughts had been of Skaar and the family they would never have, which were brought about by this new family she had been so lovingly accepted into.
As they prepared to leave, she finally spoke up, "I'll hold down the fort while you're away. Besides, I still have a workroom to setup." While she did her best to hide her tone, there was still a hint of sorrow in her eyes as she headed to her new workspace.
"I suppose so," Eldan says. "But I'll keep the hat on. Last I checked, kobolds were below goblins in terms of races accepted by humans."
She nods at Corda, "Alright, that's probably a good idea. We should be back in about an hour or so. If you end up needing help to lift anything heavy, just wait till we get back home and I can help you." Looking back at Eldan she says, "Fair enough, we'll just ask what they have in the way of smaller sleepwear since I don't think you'll be sleeping with your hat on will you?"
"Probably not," Eldan says.
She chuckles as she goes to the door and opens it for them, "Shall we then?"
Eldan nods and heads out the door.
Once Eldan and Vishanti walk out of the house, Derika walks out and shuts the door, locking it before heading back to the market place to find the tailor.
Derika finds several vendors selling clothes of different hues and sizes. None of them seem to be noteworthy.
Even though he was a newcomer, Eldan figured he could figure out who was decent and who was a shyster.
Pretty much at a loss she looks to Vishanti to try and help them find what was most suited for Eldan and that would last a long time.
Between Eldan and Vishanti, the group finds a quiet, elderly woman with a table full of serviceable clothes. She smiles, reveal her lack of teeth, as you approach. "How can I help you?"
"I suppose I'm looking for some clothes for someone my size. A travelling outfit and something to sleep in," Eldan answers.

The woman adjusts her spectacles. "Well, I don't have fancy colors like the other folk, but my clothes'll stay on you through a tornado."
She produces a plain brown travelling outfit and a long nightshirt that would fit Eldan perfectly.
"Looks good enough to me," Eldan says. "I'll take them. How much?"
"One gold, five silver," the woman answers.
Eldan digs out two gold and hands them to the woman. "Keep the change and may Cayden smile upon you."
"Thank you kindly," the woman says, handing the clothes to Eldan.
She just stands back and smiles.
Vishanti smiles at the old woman as they leave, vowing to herself to remember the shop.
"Anything else we need to do?" Eldan asks as he stows the clothing.
She thinks for a moment, "Not that I can really think of off the top of my head, but then again I'm almost useless without a list to go off of. Is there any other personal items that you need? Or anything really for that matter...you came here to help us and we don't have a problem helping you get something if you need it and it's a little expensive. I thought we'd wait until tomorrow to introduce you to Gaston and Captain Renault since they're busy on duty right now. They would be the ones that would probably be able to help you find a decent job until we're ready to leave this place."
Eldan shakes his head. "I think I'm alright for now."
Looking at Vishanti she asks, "Was there anything else we needed? I'm pretty sure we have plenty of groceries now to last for a while, but was there anything we needed right now, or should we get back so we can get him settled in and show him where he can put his things?"
"I think we're good for now. Better we get him settled in." Vishanti replies after a moment of thought.
She nods before turning and heads back to the house with them.
Eldan follows along, quietly taking in the city of Nicae.
As they walk, Derika takes Vishanti's hand in hers. Bringing it to her lips she kisses it softly before moving closer to her loves side as they head home.
Smiling happily, Vishanti lets out a soft contented sigh as they stroll back home. What lay ahead would most likely be both difficult and dangerous, but she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, she could deal with absolutely anything as long as Derika was by her side.
"If you don't mind me sleeping in the front room, I can do that," Eldan says with a yawn, suddenly feeling very tired.
She shakes her head as they get back to the house, "No...we don't mind if you sleep on the couch. I'd just worry about bothering you in the morning when we get up and stuff...but if that's what you want to do it's fine. We have extra blankets and pillows in the linen closet if you need them." She says as she unlocks the front door and holds it open for Eldan and Vishanti.
Eldan goes inside and takes his hat off. "I probably sleep like the dead...oh, wait...poor choice of words here. Umm...I'll let you know if I have a problem with the arrangement."
She nods, "Okay, that seems fine. The bathroom is just down that hall there. The towels and things are in that closet there just to the left of it. I hope you have a good rest." She says before taking Vishanti's hand and walking down the hall. Stopping at Corda's door she knocks lightly, "Corda....we just wanted to let you know we're back." She says it a little quietly in case she's already sleeping before looking at Vishanti, "So...you ready for bed?"
Eldan nods and gets himself washed up and ready for bed.
"Yes I think I am. While it wasn't crazy today, it was busy. Besides, I can't wait to stretch out on our new sheets." the shamaness says with a little smile.
She nods as she picks up their newly purchased items and heads to the bedroom with her love.
After getting her work room set up, the Witch was overcome with grief once more. She had spent the last hour in her room crying into her pillow with Morgor curled up on the bed next to her.
When the Half-Orc knocked on her door to let her know they were home, Corda answered, "Thank you Derika. Have a good night."
Soon after, she managed to get to sleep.
Eldan settles on the couch and falls asleep fairly quickly.
After they get into their room, Derika closes the door behind them and locks it. Putting the clean linens down on a chair she strips the bed and throws the old sheets in a pile to be cleaned the next time they do the wash. Taking a set of the new sheets she gets them on the bed with Vishanti's help and stands back to look at them, "Hmmm...they look very soft." She goes to the bed while smirking at Vishanti and leans over to feel the sheets, "Yeah..they feel pretty soft too. Wanna come feel them with me?" She asks before a giggle escapes.
