My attempt at a rap battle on a thread! XD:
"My name is Red Velvet Tiger, won't find a GM that rolls no higher!

I come from the East Coast, better watch those nat 1s PC or I'll turn you into a ghost!

I've been playing this game since middle school, I'll get my Goblin Dogshanker and shank a fool!

I'm a GM cold as ice, mistress of murder with 'dem dice!

Now I don't know what you heard, dude, but you get munchkin with me, I'll GM fiat crit and turn you into monster food!

You hear these ill rhymes I'm dropping? I thought so, because from across the net I can see your eyes popping!

This girl don't need to learn no music, that's too hard, I'll just Sound Burst you with my level 20 Bard!

But what's this you say? It's a rap battle? I'll throw you overboard in the Shackles and make you dog-paddle!

Roleplay isn't just for sex, son, it's for gunslinger and the poor schmuck staring down the barrel of his gun!

Now that I've laid down the law, are you going to roll that tongue back up in your jaw?

That's all I've got today, PCs, feel free to throw me some GPs!"

Pura, they allow the utility! They're very cool too.

Rysky, yes, Execution bloodline is now a printed material! Not official Paizo, but still!

Monkey, I have no problem with this! We're going to have to behead you though! ^_^

That's all you had to say^_^ I'm in! (Though could you PM e the statistics so u can start building the crunch of my.character again? Fluff is already done.

Which material?

GM Lady of Dark Whispers wrote:
Which material?

The syringes as well as the serial killer archetype please. :3

(Sorry for the typos I'm the other post, I'm typing via phone)

Ah, frag it. Werewolf Bioweapon, here I come. XD

Pura, actually whoops! Now that I look at the archetypes, they replace things like Trap Sense, Trapfinding, Uncanny Dodge, Improved Uncanny Dodge, ect. I DO still have, however, some things which are Rogue Talents you could take (I remember you said you still wanted versatility!), such as: Alone with a Killer, Appear Normal, Clearly a Suicide, Fear Fanatic, Hide in the Dark, and similar things. I also have those abilities to add to the Rogue to give it a free, much needed boost in power. And you still want the syringes, correct?

Rednal, Wherewolf? Therewolf! Sorry, I read one too many of the old D&D comics back in the day! Also, "HAHA MORTAL! I WILL NOW TAKE YOUR SOLE!" *peels sole out of shoe* "Thank the Seven Heavens for typos!"! XD

TSP has officially decided on playing the debauched nobleman thrillseeker! This should prove interesting! XD Trust me folks, he plays the snobby nobleman well! His last noble character reminded me a lot of Lestat from 'Interview with a Vampire'! So cool, it looks like you all will definitely have WAY above average wealth per character level with him in the group once he gets a few levels. He's already said he would share with everyone once book 1 is over. Look at that bonus wealth he gains each level! Have we got any item crafters?! XD

1st 850 GP
2nd 2,500 GP
3rd 6,000 GP
4th 11,000 GP
5th 18,000 GP
6th 26,500 GP
7th 37,500 GP
8th 51,000 GP
9th 68,500 GP
10th 89,500 GP
11th 115,000 GP
12th 147,000 GP
13th 185,500 GP
14th 240,500 GP
15th 300,000 GP
16th 383,000 GP
17th 486,500 GP
18th 615,500 GP
19th 780,000 GP
20th 985,000 GP

All I've got to say is I'm glad he decided to belong to the Caliphvaso family fluff-wise, because I think they're the only family in Ustalav that could afford that crazy wealth for one of its scions!

TSP, would you like that in the form of cash or equipment? XD

Silver Crusade

Where can I find said Execution bloodline at?

I'll PM it to you later, Rysky! ^_^

Hmm, perhaps my character could be his pet or something... XD I THINK I can make this work, anyway!

Silver Crusade

thankies :3

Okay, I'm ready to show Berenguer again, and my new submission, a Professor Lorrimor's creation, that just learned his former master is dead... Vanguard, the Butler

Vanguard's crunch is still unfinished, but the fluff is already on site.

I'll appreciate any thoughts on them :D

EDIT:
Prime class for Berenguer: Inquisitor, from Ace Bolt only abilities.
Prime class for Vanguard: Cleaner(Slayer), from Empiricist(Investigator) only abilities

Alright, here is my submission, Lessairus. He's a Nagaji Summoner/Ranger (Infiltrator).

Alrighty, after spending waaaaaaay too long thinking about this, here's my first submission. XD

His gratitude was effusive, and he promised that he would never forget you. You are uncertain of the nature of the summons in his will, but believe he may have listed you as a possible heir in thanks for saving him from an untimely demise. +2 to Initiative Checks.

Elemental Fist (1d6, 1/day) You can add 1d6 energy damage to an attack. (Formed Weapons Only)
Elemental Weapon: At 1st Level, a Bioweapon gains Elemental Fist as a bonus feat as if they were a Monk of the Four Winds, even if they do not meet the prerequisites. At 5th level and every five levels thereafter, a Bioweapon increases the power of their Elemental Fist by 1d6. A Bioweapon can only apply this power to their Formed Weapons.
Form Weapon: At 1st, 3rd, 9th, and 15th levels, a Bioweapon selects a natural attack from the Universal Monster Rules, then selects one of their limbs. Any time a Bioweapon could draw or sheathe a weapon, they can transform that limb into something that would enable the natural attack - for example, an arm might shift into a massive mouth for a Bite attack, or a leg might turn massive for a slam attack. Alternately, the Bioweapon can reform their normal limb. Once the form is chosen, it cannot be changed. The same limb can be selected more than once, but it can only transform into one weapon at a time. The power of each natural weapon is equal to the amount given on the Natural Attacks by Size table, but all of a Bioweapon's natural attacks gained through Form Weapon are treated as primary attacks, using their full BAB on attack rolls and full strength bonus on damage rolls, and threaten a Critical hit on a roll of 19-20. These attacks are referred to as a [Formed X] weapon, where X is the name of the weapon type. Formed Weapons are considered to be Light Weapons for the purposes of Feats and similar effects. Formed Weapons are immune to disarm and sunder.
Formed Bite: Location: Right Arm. Bonuses: None.
Low-Light Vision See twice as far as a human in low light, distinguishing color and detail.
Lycanthropic Empathy +4 (Ex) Improve the attitude of your type of animal, as if using Diplomacy.
Power Attack -1/+2 You can subtract from your attack roll to add to your damage.
Rapid Metabolism Your wounds heal rapidly. (Normal Healing + 2x Constitution Bonus/day, even without resting). If tended by someone through the Heal Skill, it's 2x Normal + 2x Constitution Bonus.
Scent (Ex) Detect opponents within 15+ feet by sense of smell.

Fluff:
Appearance

They call me a monster... but who are the real monsters in this world?

For most of her life, Silvia has done all she could to simply... fade away into the crowd. Mentally, she's about average for a human - neither smart nor stupid, sensible or foolish, charismatic or off-putting. That's a very deliberate choice on her part because, quite frankly, she's far more monstrous than many people would believe.

However, despite her natural capabilities towards murder - which are impressive indeed - Silvia wants to be a good person. This isn't easy for her. She craves meat, she's quite powerful physically, and she'd probably do extraordinarily well as a gladiator of some kind. Her natural healing is considerable, too, and she can keep going long after most people simply collapse. Yet... all of this is merely the results of her life, and she wants to be judged by the person she is, not the monster she was forced to become. Her greatest fear is losing control of herself and harming an innocent person, and she's had more than one close call...

Aside from this, however, Silvia is a natural follower. The wolf part of her blood thinks that organization and packs are a good thing, and she's incredibly obedient to anyone she perceives as her master (TSP's character?). She also sees laws and regulations as a refuge from the chaos in her blood, and she clings almost desperately to any bit of sense she can manage. She also tried to avoid attracting attention around anyone she doesn't know - after all, she tends to stand out when she starts killing the things that threaten her pack.

In the end? Silvia is an unnatural being - one not especially meant to exist in the world, and quite possibly the only one of her kind. For the most part, she just wants to belong somewhere and feel safe... her "pack" means everything to her, and she'll do whatever she has to in order to protect it.

Juan, what is an Empiricist? And remember, this is pseudo-gestalt, rules of which are provided in the OP.

Wait a minute...what are the rules for making a gargoyle druid?

Simple: take the Stonewarden Gargoyle race and take the Druid as 1/2 your gestalt. You can also take the racial paragon class, if you like!

Crunch still to finish, but empiricist is an archetype for investigators. I'll provide links. As I edited my last post, the base is the Slayer side.
empiricist

cleaner

Prime class for Berenguer: Inquisitor, from Ace Bolt only abilities.
Prime class for Vanguard: Cleaner(Slayer), from Empiricist(Investigator) only abilities

Yup! I was definitely still interested in the archetype! (and those juicy versatile talents :3)
As for crafting, I'm going to have a decent intelligence anyways, so I may invest feats in that too. You know, seeing as I'm already going the skill monkey route, I might as well go the whole 9 yards with the roguish stuff, face activities, AND crafting.

"At this rate, the only thing I can't cover is knowledges! Too many skill points distributed elsewhere..." Pura pouts and sits on the floor cross legged, playing wi one of her needles. "I guess we can't do everything."

hmmm... that sounds very intriguing... i might be interested in working on something together- maybe a young adventurer with a special heritage/destiny that makes him especially dangerous to undead if he ever achieves it... or maybe his future isn't really undead related but you were appointed his protector partly as punishment because you mistook his previous Divine Guardian as undead and destroyed it? (in any case, you'd probably have to trade out Dimension Door since you wouldn't have a site to be within... maybe like greater false life or lesser globe of invulnerability, but only on your self and/or ward?)

I think the Young Adventurer with a destiny works well. Given that, I think it'd work even better if the guardian was a fallen paladin brought back and given a chance at redemption. Going to send a PM with a fleshed out idea so we don't clog up the thread with the back and forth.

Gestalt? what's that?

and I only have access to the prd

This will sum it up:

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/gestaltCharacters.htm

Also, d20pfsrd.com remains an excellent, free online resource... ^^

Oh, curses...i'll just use a D&D monster manual....at least IT'S got the rules...

gestalt

But here we are using a modified version, you make a level 1 character, that will be the base, and then you add the class abilities of a second class, just not the HD saves or skill points.

but I don't have access to said website....could you PM the necessary stuff? If not that's okay.

No, no, no, it's not a full gestalt... read the OP! It explains how I'm doing it! XD

And what would everyone say if I said all characters have the sum of BOTH classes skill points?

GM Lady of Dark Whispers wrote:

I think I'd say, "Yay!"

I assume we'd only add the int modifier once, but I hate assumptions, so . . . We only add the int modifier once, right?

I would say that would be very helpful for my 10 INT lady. XD

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32

hmm- i think my swashbuckler/magus idea would probably be a great RP fit with the debauched nobleman (as long as they didn't end up distracting/delaying with their common interests)

@xentrik- are you pretty solid on a Pharasman? i ask because there are other gods who might be more likely to raise someone in the hopes of them finding redemption (and if you went with one of them i might be able to use the infernal swashmagus and have the story be that if he dies he's destined to be a great leader in Hell so your mission is to keep him alive until he finds redemption)...

That would give Jorn a lot more neat toys. :)

That would be great.

I would ask again: Is a Base Class plus the class abilities of another one, right?
So full Inquisitor, plus the class abilities of a gunslinger (both at level 1)

Whew. If you were to do that, along with the full HP... I think I am going to start worrying about what you're going to be throwing at us XD.

Shoggoths at level 1... Cthulhu at level 10. That would be scary.

Okay, extra skill points add to Lessairus.

Any thoughts on this character?

I was actually thinking Sarenrae, check your PMs. That idea is great though, would fit in really well with what I sent you already I think.

Gestalts are less powerful than most people think at first. XD Stronger than a normal character unless you deliberately screw them up, yes - but far from omnipotent.

Because action economy, you are right. But they are more resouceful, thats for sure :D

Rednal wrote:

Very true, but the big thing that helped limit them was their lack of skill points to distribute between their chosen two classes. There's also the action economy that helps balance them (especially spellcasters) out I suppose.

I think action economy is the big part, yeah. XD It doesn't really matter how many great powers you have if you can still only use one a turn - it's really more... having options, and perhaps being better at adventuring longer each day.

...

Also, I run a number of gestalt games myself, and I specifically increase the danger of most encounters to match the increased power of the PCs. XD It's FAR less broken when the game is intended to be played at that power level and structured accordingly.

you know what...I found a template that looks cool. I found it in a D&D monster player guide:
Tauric Hobgoblin-Griffon (Hobgriffon)
It's basically a torso up of a hobgoblin, and waist down a griffon!
HOW COOL IS THAT!?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!
(of course...if it's allowed :3

i'll send you a link (click on the first one if it brings you to a group of pics)of the picture.

I guess I mentioned skills first because I'm building a skill based/utility character. I get to shine outside of combat. Adding more skill points for me is like... Wow. XD

Thinking about a Weapon Master(Fighter)/Kensai(Magus), likely taking the WM as my main class for the BAB.

From Duke of Despair: ALL RIIIIGHT!!! I have my character right here!!

Stalwart, interesting concept! TSP had a similar character once (Paladin/Wizard/Eldritch Knight,) in our epic War Against Demogorgon campaign. He took the crown from Demogorgon's corpse to prevent evil from gaining such terrible power and turned into the king of demons, who still fought evil afterwards but became infinitely more cruel and destructive in his methods. The character was delusional and still believed himself a shining example of virtue, but everyone else knew otherwise. Despite his angelic appearance, despite the serene beauty of Demogorgons layer after he reshaped it to fit his whims, it was obvious that the character was Demogorgon's last victim, the last soul destroyed by the prince of demons... Raziel Terjuron was no more, there was only the King of Demons, The Bearer of the Light of Judgement. I have such fond memories of that campaign! My character was a semi-mad chaos mage from the East named Smiles-of-Crimson Revelry, Lady Harlequin of Sasserine and I think I accidentally hit more party members with my chaos magic than any in the history of gaming! Of course, between TSP and I, we leveled basically every foe in just a few turns, aside from the BBEGs! Ah, nostalgia! Sorry for the trip down memory lane! XD

No worries about the reverie. Glad you like the idea!

My paladin-erinyes wouldn't (she hopes) go down that road that TSP's character did. She's very aware she inhabits a vessel of evil, and therefore is terrified of going astray. But as she grows and surrounds herself with others to hopefully keep a watch on her and make sure she stays true, she'll flex some of those powers in the fight against evil.

But ever present in the back of her mind, gnawing at her and worrying her is the fact that her real, human heart is still out there somewhere...

I love how different characters react to the evil presented. TSP's character was in denial... yours is consciously trying not to give into it... while Pura relishes in it and redirects it to fight against other evil beings, like a vigilante... but moreso because she likes it.

Grand Lodge

For the fallen angel concept i was thinking he hunts undead as penance for something egregious in his past...like working for a necromancer/undead type that resulted in the death of innocents or a loved one. His punishment is kill as many undead as possible. As for appearance nothing outlandish. Wings would be too op at lvl 1. Thats why the half celestial template is out....along with the a ility boosts...lol

Pura: Yep; that would promise to be some interesting character interactions.

Crunch time:

Putting together a rough outline of the character stats:

S: 14
D: 14
C: 14
I: 12
W: 14
Ch: 14

Have you seen the Pathfinderized Savage Species? It contains a 9-level erinyes progression that might do the trick. Take a look at it, and see what you think. If I go Paladin/Erinyes gestalt, I'd get

1d10, 1/1 BAB, and (going with Paladin) high Fort and Will saves. If you give us skill points from both, I'd get six from erinyes and two from Paladin (plus your bonus two, if you're still giving that out.)

So as a starting character, I'd be at:
Racial abilities:
Senses Darkvision 60 ft., see in darkness
Speed 30 ft.
Spell Resistance 10+Racial level
Immune fire, poison
Languages Celestial, Common, Draconic, Infernal; telepathy 100 ft.

First Level Erinyes abilities:
+2 Strength
+2 Con
+2 Natural Armor

First Level Paladin abilities:
Smite Evil 1/day
detect evil
Aura of Good (negated)

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies:
All Simple and Martial weapons
Light, Medium and Heavy armors and Shields (but not tower shields)

I'll decide what feat I want later, as well as the other trait.

Stalwart:
Perhaps we can set up backstories a bit so that we could be two sides of the same coin. We both had evil forced upon us, and yet dealt with it in different ways... becoming unlikely friends at some point, as I tried to get you to embrace the darkness while you tried to turn me away from it. In that way, we could have these different totally different characters interact in a team playing manner... yet still have that tension of differential ideologies. :3

Of course INT would apply only once!

Jan, I rather like the character, but characters who are on the losing end of a Faustian Bargain are often interesting.

Duke, a Hobgriffon lol?

Cool Monkey!

Grimdog73, you could always select a wingless type.

Stalwart, I have that book, but remember, 3.X classes were severely underpowered compared to Pathfinder ones.
