Thinking Android Soulknife Paladin, the last scion of an ancient line of undead hunters. When she was killed defending the town of Redleaf in Ustalav, the Professor saw her corpse delivered to a friend in Numeria for experimentation. A month later she exited the Silver Mount reborn, augmented, and no longer human.
Edit: Thinking Subject of Study (Undead) and Hunter's Blood for traits.

man... i really like making characters (especially when i get to use unusual rules that totally change how things work!)... you might as well just toss both my submissions from last thread, i'm totally making 2 new guys, lol.
the first one, tentatively, i think is going to be a Chelaxian Swashbuckler... well, sort of- he'll be a div-spawn tiefling with either swashbuckler or daring champion cavalier (probably with order of vengeance) as the base class and eldritch scion magus as the secondary class (with the infernal bloodline). the product of some nefarious backroom dealings (and unseemly rituals) by Chelaxian nobles, his true nature was hidden as long as he proved useful, but when concealing the product of his 'errands' and covering for his 'appetites' became too costly he was cut lose by his own family.
edit: i was sort of avoiding paladin because a) the feel the original GM was going for didn't seem super pally-friendly and b) there are several proposals with them already... but now seeing how many people are pitching pallies i almost want to switch this to an aasmiar pally/eldritch scion (celestial) and see if we can muster a whole pally group, lol. (who's gonna spend the gestalt levels to make the pally/ogre mage?)

Sarpadian, I have spoken with RVT (She's calling it a night tonight and I had questions of my own, so I asked her about all of the stuff via text,), it will not take up the gestalt, because it's relatively normal in power.
Here it is Sarpadian. I've removed all fluff text from it so it doesn't look ridiculously overdetailed.
Faux Familiar
Type: Magical Beast (Shapechanger)
+2 CON and INT, -2 CHA
Speed: 30 ft.
Size: Medium in Human, Small in Hybrid Form, base size in familiar form
Languages: Common and shared 'familiar language' language with bonded spellcaster

Toadlike: +4 bonus on saves vs. poison and disease.
Attuned to the Arcane: +2 racial bonus to all Knowledge: Arcana and Spellcraft checks.

Here are a few skeletons of my ideas for my character. Input would be appreciated! Please note the last entries are being done in haste, so just imagine what they will be like and provide feedback.
1. Fallen psychopomp/angel of death who fell for his compassion for mortals and the abandonment of his sacred duties. He wanders the world seeking some purpose to give his life meaning. He is wise and icily calm, although he is often consumed with melancholy over the knowledge of the mortal condition and his own fall from grace. He usually wears the form of a mortal, but when combat starts, he dons his mask and assumes a shadow of his old form. He would be a TN Male Reaper (Psychopomp equivalent of a Tiefling,) Summoner (Divine Vessel Archetype)/Death Knight (Death's Paramour) who uses his angel of death form to reap those who he vows to destroy even as shadowy tears leak from his porcelain mask and who uses his necromantic powers to raise those from the dead he feels are undeserving of death, to give them time to finish unfinished business before they return to their rest.
2. Ancient vampire who met the professor in his youth and helped the professor write his first book on the nature of vampirism. He decided to sleep for a few decades and, shortly after waking, learned of the professor's death. Feeling some twinge of sorrow at the professor's death, he journeys to Ravengro to pay his last respects to the only mortal he had managed to befriend in over a century. Though his powers were mighty before he slept, his powers take a bit of time to recover after torpor, explaining his relative weakness. He has a darkly regal personality and carries himself in a courtly manner. He would be a LE Male Human Highborn Nosferatu (Vampire weaker than average, but only stripped of supernatural power in sunlight, old Ravenloft stuff,) Warlock/Bloodmage who flits across the battlefield blasting foes with dark magic and using his vampiric powers to control the battlefield.
3. Mad scientist who was a student of Caromarc. He was almost killed by a rampant creation of the doctors and had to have his brain surgically removed from his body and placed in a jar of reactive gel. Though his body died, his mind lived on and, with time, grew to a level of psychic power unheard of in a baseline human. The good doctor kept the brain, some would say out of remorse, some would say out of madness. One day, when the doctor received a patient who had nearly drowned in the nearby lake. Unable to save the man, he was about to euthanize him when he heard a voice in his head, instructing him to listen. It was his student's brain talking to him telepathically! Following his former student's instructions, he crafted a device somewhat between a bell jar and a highly advanced mechanical contraption and, after hours of intense labor, placed the jar containing the brain into the freshly-emptied cavity of the
braindead patient's cranium. Miraculously, the procedure worked! The professor exclaimed in joy, but when the pupil read the message on the doctor's table, that Professor Lorrimer, a contemporary of theirs had died and that he was requested at the funeral, he immediately left, eager for an excuse to leave the laboratory he had spent years as an observer in and to learn of his friends fate. He will be a LN Male Android/Brain in the Jar Machinesmith (Cybernetics, selected the Brain Box greatworks obviously!)/Psion who is cold and ultra-logical, a product of the years he spent as a disembodied brain. Over time, he reconnects to his humanity, but his sanity has a way of fracturing as he does, gaining very odd quirks. He is to be the sort of 'specialist of all things non-specialized', able to perform nearly any party role and is the 'knowledge center' of the group, though they may need to take steps to keep him from offending important people with his abrasive personality (He doesn't care if people are offended... he thinks he can simply mind-control them and MAKE them see things the way he does and it's all ok!).
4. A half-mad, thrill-seeking nobleman relative of Carmilla Caliphvaso who took up monster hunting as a way to get his 'fix'. He's the very stereotype of a debauched nobleman seeking meaning after his parents were deposed by the Palatines in the west. He collects trophies of his kills and displays them, almost goading the dark beasts of Ustalav to attack him. His many accomplishments include: staking a fledgeling vampire spawn after her rebirth and drinking her blood for a high, capturing and skinning alive a stray werewolf to make a luxurious fur coat, and sleeping his way through a coven of witches before getting them to turn on one another in jealousy, after which he callously murdered the last one. He is about the furthest thing from a hero one can think of, but he is an effective one nonetheless. He will be a CN (CE) Ranger/Noble that can easily talk the party into or out of any situation and is a capable ranged combatant in his own right. Plus, because of his Noble class' wealth ability, he can buy the party extra equipment at each level.
5. Infamous serial killer of Ustalav known for killing those who offend his sense of morality in very brutal, yet strangely artistic and ironic ways. He was a contemporary of the professor, though his own secrets were not known. He will be a Male Human Ninja/Investigator(Medical Examiner) whose primary focus is investigation, stealth, and brutal assassinations.
6. The Nightraven, a natural wereraven who stalks Ustalav in search of evil to destroy, spurred onto his path by the murder of a loved one many years ago. He will be a LG Male Human Wereraven Deductionist (Masked Avenger) specializing in much the same as the previous listing, but with an entirely different outlook, personality, ect.
7. A distinguished gentleman of icy calm who is secretly one of the werewolves of the Shudderwood. He will be a NE Male Human Stalker (Path of War class, not the PF one!)/Werewolf who fights viciously, using the power of the moon to augment his powerful capabilities with strange magic. He is at once calm and vicious, serene and utterly savage. If I were to make a real-world analogy, he'd be like a really cold mafia hitman.

Well, I am certainly glad recruitment is up here! I might have to weak a few things, but hey, it's worth it to have a chance to play as Pura!
I'm thinking of going bard/rogue, as that sort of was my original concept, except I had to juggle it around various different archetypes/traits. Now I can take more thematic archetypes and still be good at those skills! (I still am going for the creepy possessed little girl vibe though, so I will still be taking childlike as a first level feat)
In the other thread, you mentioned the demon possesed template though. I'm looking at it now and am wondering how you'd make it work.
Though can we switch demon out for daemon as part of the flavor? I'm going to be neutral w/ neutral evil tendencies since that plays a lot more nicely with a party than chaotic evil.

Pura, the Daemon-Possessed template from Green Ronin's Advanced Biestiary is what I was referring to. It's very cool, though I will be removing the daily CON damage and one of the advantageous abilities to make it more usable. There is also the Haunted One template that, I THINK, is on the SRD. If you really like the Demon-Possessed template after looking at these, I will allow the reflavoring!
Who was wanting the Caliban race, by the way?

Kicking a couple ideas around right now. The most firm one is a Dhampir Dirge Bard/Paladin (possibly Divine Hunter) of Pharasma. Fluffed to be not quite a cleric, but their performance would certainly be religious in origin, a hymnal dirge or an oratory reading. Somewhere between holy warrior and charismatic preacher. Would you be willing to allow a NG Paladin? LG isn't in Pharasma's reach as a neutral deity.
Alternately, how would you feel about a Spring-Heeled Jack converted into playable somehow? I was intending to spring one on the party as a side mission giving the whole Victorian horror thing, but I could spin that idea around into a character concept.

Horrorshow, I have an alternate NG Paladin from 3.X I turned into an archetype. It was in a Dragon magazine of the ancient (3.X,) past. If you're not interested in it, I CAN allow an alternate alignment, but you still must build a code. I would suggest bulleting 21 tenets: 10 deeds that if performed repeatedly can make you fall from grace (Things like pride, addictions, ect.), 8 that can make you fall from grace if performed for any other reason than to accomplish great good and thwart a greater evil (Killing an innocent, lying, ect.,), and 3 tenets that cause an immediate fall from grace (Blasphemy against your deity, damning a creature's soul, ect.,). As for your Spring-Heeled Jack idea, all I can say is I have plans for that creature and he is not playable, as he is a singular entity. Oh, and I also have some really cool holy bard spells and feats! Interested?
Rednal, which class are you referencing for the monster bit?
Pura, it's a +2 template (I can convert it into a short 2-level class if need be). Here are the highlights: evil subtype, Darkvision +60 ft., +4 vs disease and poison, acid resist 30, immunity to death effects, regeneration 5/good (probably toning that down to fast healing that can reattach limbs!), spell-like abilities, take 1 HP drain every day you don't kill something, you can summon daemons 1/day, +2 to 3 ability scores determined by daemon type, you die if the daemon is completely cast out from your characters soul, and you heal whenever you kill a sentient creature in a way your daemon prefers. Most abilities are determined by what type of daemon inhabits your character.

Yeah, I'd be fine building a code of some sort, with a mix of typical good-aligned stuff and others based on Pharasma's teachings. Dirge Bard is off the table because I misremembered her stance on creating undead, and so that would be a pretty big part of the code. And holy bard stuff is definitely of interest to me.
The fact you also have plans for Jack has me pretty damn excited, so I'm not too saddened by the loss of that option.

wow- it's really kind of a shame that we can't get 2 GMs (or 2 tables) there's so many interesting ideas but half of them are pallies and the other half are supernatural evils... it seems unlikely that you're gonna get a good blend of those in one functional group. i kind of feel like i need to pitch 2 totally different guys- 1 in case it ends up being a good guy group and one for if it doesn't...

Whew, I think I like that template. Perhaps you'd allow me to take it as both my classes for second level so I can then progress evenly as a bard/rogue from there? I'm still thinking of keeping all my utility as a face/skill monkey when I was a single classed bard, but now, the rogue class makes me much more of a vicious character in combat as well! Who would expect a little girl to stab them in the back after all? (I'm going to reflavor her knives into big syringes)

i don't want to tell you your business, but if i was making a vicious little girl who was going to stab people with syringes i would think pretty hard about maybe going vivisectionist instead of rogue... all the sneak attack viciousness, access to bleeding attack (and possibly other talents, don't remember off the top of my head), better fluff for using syringes, and even mutagen to take it to the next level. you could even reflavor mutagen as some unholy concoction that brings out more of the daemon's power...

I know... I just have something against the vivisectionist, as it took one of my favorite classes and murdered its usefulness. (Even,if the flavor at this moment makes sense...) *sigh* I might just do it, seeing as I will have a decent intelligence. I suppose the alchemy can be seen as her crafting drugs to either quell the voice in her head as well as bring it back whenever is most useful.
But RIP rogue, my second favorite class after the bard.
But yeah, try to go through Gygax's adventures without a rogue.. I dare ya. I should mention I know it's not only the vivisectionist, but From a statistical standpoint, who in the world would play a rogue offer a vivisection or an archaeologist or a slayer?

@GM- if i just throw out a list of possibilities that interest me would you respond with the 1 or 2 that might be most likely to get picked? Or players who think that wizards having magic missile at will is completely ridiculous? Or that one guy who rolled 1 HP and had to survive level 1 like that? Or those who miss the days 0 HP meant death?
GM, would the vivisectionist work? I'm not a full caster either way, I get to keep the sneaky feel, (and needles) and I can stay as a pretty decent skill monkey.

And remember, any equipment you wear can be subsumed by your new form, if you desire.
By "subsume," do you mean it re-sizes like with enlarge person or it melds like a druid's wild shape? I was taking it in the latter sense when I read it in the racial description, but the above post seems to imply the former. Also, do I get the senses of the form that I'm in? In other words, do I have darkvision in hybrid form and low-light vision and scent in familiar form?

Okay, I'm going to throw my hat in the ring here with an old idea I had that was an NPC in a completely different game (and tabletop, besides).
In a nutshell: Former human Paladin transformed into an erinyes, but retaining her mortal mind and outlook.
A vile ritual.
A stolen heart of a paladin.
A portal to Hell.
A desperate gambit.
The young paladin Ashlyn had been captured and subjected to a horrific experiment. Her still-beating heart had been removed, and a piece of the very essence of Hell put in its place; a surprise for when her beloved found her. And find her he did, and along with his companions thwarted the cabal of devil-worshippers.
But the price of victory appeared to be high, for Ashlyn could not survive so long as the portal remained open. But its presence was too great a threat to leave unclosed, so Ashlyn prepared to sacrifice herself to seal it forever, though her soul would remain on the other side.
But never discount the ingenuity of heroes. Within a circle of protection against evil straddling the portal, they cast a desperate spell -- reincarnate -- just as her beloved pierced her infernal heart with his holy blade.
Never had such a confluence of magics occurred, and never likely will again. What happened was singularly unique. Ashlyn's body was destroyed, and the only essence with which to build a new one was the hell-stuff erupting all around. The portal then exploded, and scattered the heroes across the multiverse. Their stories are for another tale.
Ashlyn woke up on Golarion, where she discovered something horrific: she was in the body of a fiend -- an erinyes. She radiated palpable evil, though she did not feel compelled to commit evil. Terrified of what she is, yet refusing to let it define her, Ashlyn had to go into hiding, but she also needed help. That help came in the form of Professor Lorrimor, who believed her and helped her for a time.
Easiest would be to go with Paladin/Infernal Sorcerer, and maybe go with a tiefling base to build into an Erinyes.
What I'd prefer would be go go Paladin, and use the "gestalt" goodies to build the erinyes that way. Pick out a few abilities that would scale each level, and work it out that way. I see the wings as being something of an issue, but if you'd trust that I won't actually use them all that much since she's practically terrified of them, and her erinyes nature in general.
I would go with Subject of Study as the campaign trait, and there's a lot more crunch that needs to be developed. But I want to throw this concept out there to see if there's even a chance of this taking off before doing much more work on it.
So, what do you think?

Yeah, I'm sticking with Shaman/Gunslinger. ^^ Build to follow in a bit. My general goal is to provide support for the rest of the team, though Gunslinger will take a bit of a backseat until I have a steadier supply of weapons and batteries and such. XD There's not much for tech at low levels... also, I really hate tracking ammo...
...................
Maybe I should just take Gunslinger later (once tech items are affordable) and focus on Shaman/Template for now...?

RVT: What would it take to change the restriction on the Divine Guardian Template from "Protecting a Place" to "Protecting a person"?
Of course that's assuming I can find someone to work with on a background who would be protected by the reanimated undead hunter. Failing that perhaps "Place" could be relaxed to be Ustalav or to work more like a Paladin Code (i.e. defending a place can involve travelling away from it, as long as it serves to protect it from some greater threat).
Also, I'd be interested in seeing that NG paladin archetype.

hmmm... that sounds very intriguing... i might be interested in working on something together- maybe a young adventurer with a special heritage/destiny that makes him especially dangerous to undead if he ever achieves it... or maybe his future isn't really undead related but you were appointed his protector partly as punishment because you mistook his previous Divine Guardian as undead and destroyed it? (in any case, you'd probably have to trade out Dimension Door since you wouldn't have a site to be within... maybe like greater false life or lesser globe of invulnerability, but only on your self and/or ward?)

Nate, I will CONSIDER two tables. However, I am already running 3 of my own and helping co-GM in TSPs campaigns, so I am unsure of how well I could run two CCs! And yes, you may certainly pitch a list to me. If you do, may you offer TSP an opinion on his? He's at a loss of which ones are his favorites. I told him pick what he likes best and he says he likes them all.
Pura, I have stats for syringes actually... don't ask how! Also, just as a cool note, I have material for the Execution bloodline for the Sorceror! Also, I have the Rogue Glory book that gives Rogues a few more options to bring them up power-wise! Care to see any of those? I also have Rogue Archetypes of a distinctly deadly type... including Serial Killer, which fits your Daemon-Possessed template/concept very well, all things considered! Serial killer of monsters... sounds like an anime trope! XD But yes, Vivisectionist is fine! And no worries, I was just feigning anger! You couldn't tell?
Sarpadian, I mean it melds into the character like a Druid Wild Shaping.
ShadowyFox, I would hope so, given the ridiculously large list of options!
Stalwart, interesting concept! TSP had a similar character once (Paladin/Wizard/Eldritch Knight,) in our epic War Against Demogorgon campaign. He took the crown from Demogorgon's corpse to prevent evil from gaining such terrible power and turned into the king of demons, who still fought evil afterwards but became infinitely more cruel and destructive in his methods. The character was delusional and still believed himself a shining example of virtue, but everyone else knew otherwise. Despite his angelic appearance, despite the serene beauty of Demogorgons layer after he reshaped it to fit his whims, it was obvious that the character was Demogorgon's last victim, the last soul destroyed by the prince of demons... Raziel Terjuron was no more, there was only the King of Demons, The Bearer of the Light of Judgement. I have such fond memories of that campaign! My character was a semi-mad chaos mage from the East named Smiles-of-Crimson Revelry, Lady Harlequin of Sasserine and I think I accidentally hit more party members with my chaos magic than any in the history of gaming! Of course, between TSP and I, we leveled basically every foe in just a few turns, aside from the BBEGs! Ah, nostalgia! Sorry for the trip down memory lane! XD
Rednal, I see no reason why you can't become a ghost at 2nd level! Want me to work something in?
Xentik, yes of course!
Grimdog73, fallen angel, eh? Describe it for me. I had a book on playing angels back from 3.X, so I can offer some interesting options for you. Are you wanting a more human angel or a strange-looking angel (Something like an Ophanim, a Kerubim, or a Seraphim? Look those up on wikipedia!)?
Rysky!!! *WAVES BACK!* Go ahead and apply! :D

Pura''s lower lip quivers slightly. "You scared me Ms. GM, ma'am. I'm just a sweet innocent little girl, no need for the daemon slaying paddle..."
Hehehe. I think I want to stay away from sorcerer actually. I got a bit of burnout playing a full caster in PFS and an Oracle in my other game so I want to switch it up a bit. I am interested in the archetypes for the rogue if they allow me to continue to have the utility aspect of the class. :3
I especially like the sound of a serial killer of monsters! There's only room for one bloodthirsty sociopath on this planet! Pura smiles. "Tee hee I mean... I'm doing the world a favor! More bloodshed of those creatures means more people I can scare!"
I can imagine her having NE tendencies with most people, scaring them and whatnot, but quite ironically being full blown Neutral Evil when it comes to Evil people, monsters, or slavers.
